I have normal skin and rarely wear liquid foundation for fear of clogging my pores and breaking out. When I need to glam up for special occasions, I reach for this brush to apply MAC's Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation. It makes the application of the foundation appear flawless and doesn't require much product. This brush is a must have for your brush collection!

I adore this brush. Gives a beautiful finish I use this to blend my foundation around the edges of my face as well as to blend a lighter colour across my T zone.
Blends like a dream highly durable and easy to clean. Well worth the investment like all mac blushes. Also easy to build up natural looking coverage.

By far best MAC brush.
Very multi-purpose, great for a starting as a first brush, and
good for beginners.
Also very soft!
Packaging as in the plastic wrapper is a little disappointing...considering MAC brushes are supposed to be on the professional side MAC neglects the products quality with poor - little packaging.
That's for most brushes though.

I got the limited edition gold handle one years and years ago and I still use it every time I wear makeup now. Its my favourite brush and does a great job applying my mac or clinique powders. I'm quite heavy handed when applying make up but with this brush it doesn't look like it.

This brush is amazing, you need it to get the most out of your foundation! I have to use so much less foundation with this brush than I do using my fingers. Helps give the perfect coverage...worth the money..get it, along with the brush cleanser!

Foundation that applies like a dream every single time... what more could a girl want?

If you're like me and you have a whole lot of awful liquid foundations that just don't work for you sitting unused in your makeup case, I dare you to try them all with this brush. You might be pleasantly surprised. This brush makes crappy foundation look good and good foundation look absolutely incredible. If you're after flawless, smooth and seamless makeup look no further. The 187 also happens to be brilliant for making pressed powder look smooth and like your own skin. With so many makeup brushes I have found my pressed powder to sit on top of my skin and look thick and chunky, but not with this brush. This is the ONLY brush in my collection that buffs powder into my skin so well that it looks like my skin but better. It's also the best brush ever for highly pigmented blushes.
Get this brush (or several!) I can't recommend it highly enough!

If the need arose, I would repurchase fo' sho (but I certainly hope I never have to purchase another one... My poor wallet).

I wanted this brush for so long. I had heard amazing things about it and being a MAC junkie I had to see what the hype was about. I'm not impressed! I felt like I used a lot more product than usual (even though I only dabbed it on the white tips). I guess I just prefer a more firm foundation brush. My favorite is Sonia Kashuk flat top kabuki brush (with the long strange shaped black handle). It's a decent brush though and I'm going to keep it because I am trying to build my collection.

I love the 187! I bought it to add to my ever growing Mac collection and didn't think it would be anything special. I kept hearing all these great things about it so I figured might as well get my first Mac face brush and haven't regretted it since! You could do your entire face with just this baby. It did shed the first few washes and smells a bit funky after washing for some odd reason, but nothing too bad.
Here's how I know my love for the 187 runs deep; I hate waking up in the mornings and getting ready for the day. I especially hate wasting time doing my skin and foundation routine (I would much rather take extra time on my eyes and blending shadows, or who am I kidding..sleeping!) Since getting this brush I get up immediately because I actually look forward to using this brush on my face. No joke! It is super soft and blends makeup beautifully.
At first I hated this brush and ignored the advice of mua's saying learn how to use it correctly, me being cocky I figured, it's a face brush! You swirl and blend, how hard could it be, right?? Well I did that for a few weeks and wasn't too thrilled, more pissed for wasting my money, so I finally looked up some youtube videos on how to use this black beauty and wow, it makes such a difference!!
Like the reviewers before me said, Enkore has a few videos up on how to use this. I watched 2 videos of his and was at first confused, he only stipples in one video and stipples and blends in the other. I tried out both methods and realized blending in circular motions is a must for me!! I used the stipple only method with my Revlon Colorstay foundation and when I got to work and seen in daylight, omg! I had every pore showing and blotchy uneven spots, caked everywhere. YIKES!! So I always make sure to blend in circular motions and that really gives the airbrushed look!
I now use this brush for liquid and powder foundation and also it makes blush go on perfectly. I don't know how I went without this thing for so long. It is super spendy, but just think you are saving money because the 187 will not eat up all your foundation and uses less product (just remember to keep foundation only on white bristles). Compared to before when I used my fingers or the 190 brush, I use about half of what I was using now.
I cannot believe I wake up, excited, like a kid on Christmas day, all just to use this brush on my face. It makes applying your face products so fun!! I get annoyed if I'm running late for work and don't have those extra few minutes to use this brush, I take it out on the world lol! When I'm done with my face for the day and want to play more, I just attack my mom and sister with it so I can use it again.
So all in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and will be purchasing a few more in the near future. Best of all, I haven't been late for work since buying this brush! My boss keep asking me what's going on with me being on time. I can't sound crazy and tell her my enthusiasm to get up on time comes from a black skunk brush I use on my face lol. Oh well, ,my secret:) 187, you have exceeded my 5 lippies beyond imagined.

i like this brush because i find it good quality, maybe a little ovrepicey. I use it for foundation, blushes (cream and powder) and translucent loose powder. With foundation sometimes I swirl, sometimes I stipple (love the effect but time consuming.
cons: it sheds a lot
