Me no likey. I have pale, thin lashes and need both volume and length. While this mascara is only for volume, I didn't expect much length, but it gave none at all. It also made my lashes brittle and many of them broke. It does an OK job of volumizing, but I found it to be clumpy. The end result for me was dark, clumpy short lashes.

I swear by it!!! Best one ive ever used! Been using it for several years, tried so many others, chanel - estee Lauder - dior show - l'Oreal... All those who claim to give you that "open eye" doll face look, pff they dont get even close to Hypnose! Tip : after use, take lil bit vaseline, put it on the tips of your upper lashes, just very small amount : doll eyes for sure! :)

I really like this mascara. I have it in brun which is a nice everyday brown mascara. It lengthens and separates lashes but doesn't add any volume.
I'm a little on the fence about this mascara. Like most mascaras, this just doesn't do much for my lashes. I have long lashes already, so what I need is volume. This gives volume, but not enough for me to feel like it was worth what must have been spent on this. My mom bought it for me on one of her trips to Sephora, and I hope it wasn't ridiculously expensive! This also clumps on me, and I find it dries too fast. I can work with it, but once I'm done the tube I wont get another.
I purchased this today, because I was thinking of buying either this or the Doll Lashes. I purchased this, and the lady gave me a deluxe sample of the Doll Lashes. I normally use L'Extreme, but I wanted to kick it up a notch. It's important to mention that I have volume and do not need much more. And the little that I do need, I get from my MAC Prep and Prime Lash, which works wonders. Although Hypnose is not entirely bad, and I can see how it's beneficial to those who need volume, it did nothing in terms of length. I was very disappointed, and will be returning. This really depends on what you look for in a mascara, and I just was not looking for what Hypnose gave me.
I absolutely LOVE this mascara. I use the Defencils also, but have moved to this one because it curls and adds more volume. It def gives you that extra oomph and those long, pretty, sexy lashes! It is good for night and day. It doesn't clump, flake, or smudge. 1 or 2 coats is enough! I'm a huge fan.
I'm a fussy customer when it comes to mascara. I like length, volume, curl, definition, no smudging or flaking, no irritation for my sensitive eyes AND it has to be easy to remove. Phew! This does it all. To be honest, I didn't realise just how good this stuff is until I strayed and tried Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme recently. Hypnose seriously blows it out of the water. The brush is perfect; not too big or too small, just right. The only thing I have noticed with this, is that it seems to apply better when it's been open a while. When brand new, I find the formula a little thin and it doesn't give quite as dramatic a look. After a few weeks of being open it thickens a bit, without clumping or drying out, and just seems to apply better. That's only a very minor criticism though. I can't think of anything else that I don't like about this mascara. I remember years ago having a makeover at a YSL counter and the SA told me straight that Lancôme do the best mascaras. In my experience I totally agree with her. I'm sticking with this stuff. It isn't cheap, but it's quality stuff and lasts well.
