PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: INDICATION: For uncomplicated acne involving only the face. DIRECTIONS: Wash affected area 2 to 3 times a day. Wet your face. Dispense the scrub into the palm of your hand. Mix with water and massage gently onto your face. Rinse thoroughly. WARNINGS: For external use only. Do not use with another acne medication, except on the advice of a doctor. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If excessive skin irritation develops or increases, discontinue use; if irritation persists, consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children.

This opaque cream, speckled with blue polyethylene beads is packaged in a blue, transparent squeeze tube with a plastic flip cap.

MY THOUGHTS: I initially purchased a 141 g tube of Clean&Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub under the impression that I had blackheads on my nose (which turned out to be just large pores). My boyfriend on the other hand does have blackheads and didn't notice any improvement while using this scrub.

PAULA BEGOUN: Poor (don't buy). Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub ($4.99 for 5 ounces) is a standard scrub that contains polyethylene (ground-up plastic) as the abrasive agent. This also contains 2% salicylic acid, which can help eliminate blackheads, but not when used in a scrub that is rinsed off the skin after only a moment or two. Even if this brief exposure to salicylic acid were beneficial, the pH of this product is too high for effective exfoliation. This product contains methyl lactate, which is irritating and offers no benefit to skin.

This scrub is okay, it does help clear up your blackheads, but I don't find that it helps for much else besides that. There are many better products that clear up blackheads just as well that also clear up other things besides blackheads. I like Clearasil daily face wash the best.

I have been using the Target generic brand of this product as one element of my overall make-up removing/face cleansing routine. From what I can tell, this product keeps my face relatively blemish free. Granted, I am in my late twenties so don't have the same acne problem that I had in my high school years . . . but about once a month I do tend to get a few spots and I've found that since I began using this product daily my break outs have been minimal.

I love the exfoliating scrubbing beads but find that I really have to take my time to rinse them off my face because I get residue if I don't.

I keep buying this product, not because it's good but just because I don't know what else to buy in its place but now I am going to stop as my last bottle has finished. Doesn't clear blackheads and the beads on it don't seem to do anything in particular either. It is a nice facewash for just 'cleaning' your face but does not do a lot more than that.

I tried the Target Version of this and it's great at exfoliating but not much as a blackhead remover scrub.I love how it leaves my skin soft, that's the only thing I like about it.I wouldn't buy it again though.

I usually like Clean & Clear products, but this was one I didn't care for much. It promises to clear blackheads, of course it doesn't as expected since the salicylic acid is probably not the proper pH and also gets washed down the drain; defeats the purpose of putting an active ingreduent into a product that doesn't even have a chance to take effect.

I have large, easily clogged pores so I exfoliate my skin frequently (almost daily) to avoid problems. This scrub contains the small, round, blue beads that really don't do much as far as exfoliating. I've tried other cleansers with the same beads, they just don't do it for me personally.
After I wash my face with this I don't feel as clean as with a regular, foaming cleanser. I also don't feel that this product properly cleanses skin since it is somewhat waxy and therefore leaves a film on the skin, which doesn't leave my skin feeling clean. I also noticed that this contributes to clogged pores, which defeats the purpose of a scrub.

I didn't care for it and wouldn't repurchase again since Clean & Clear has other products that don't make specific claims or contain active ingredients, yet still produce better results. continued >>

This scrub is a tad rough on the skin so I foam it up first the wash my face with it. It OK i guess, does leave my skin feeling soft but I can feel the scrubby bits on my skin and I'm not sure if its good. Skin felt quite dry after...

I am really happy with this product...I get horrible evil spots once a month, once I have been using this, I rarely get any spots which is awesome to the max!! But I have stopped using this as I like trying new things! Even thoough this products stops me from having spots, my skin looks kinda dull that's why I started using other products, however I haven't found any facial wash better than this. So I might use this again as I am getting spots again:(

well i actually like this product.. i mean i only use it once a week instead of using it everyday... because it has salicylic acid.. which can make ur skin used to it after mulitpul use.. that's why it wouldn't work after a while... i mean this actually took of some of my pimples.. not a mircal product.. and i wouldn't buy it again due to.. idk.. i like trying new things..
