This has been my mascara forever - my HG I suppose as I keep coming back to it. Very natural looking and extends and lifts my lashes. The brush applicator is super easy to use and a good swirling action gets rid of any clumps for me at the end of the wand. No smudges after application either. I use this everyday and I if I want a waterproof finish I just coat on top with my Clarins Double Fix Mascara.
This is HG for me. I'll preface by saying that I have very long dark lashes that basically just need a tint of color on the blond ends to look good. That's why I love this so much. For me, almost any other mascara is too dramatic for day. This is very natural, no clumps, easy application and it doesn't smudge or flake much through my 10 hour day. This is definitely got girls who already have a lot of lashes and don't need a whole lot to accentuate them. Don't buy this if you're looking for a ton of volume or drama - if you need something simple, easy and natural looking give it a shot!
This is HG status for me. It's my go to for a daytime mascara, BE Buxom in the blue noir is my go to for a nighttime mascara. The brush is small, by today's (Diorshow, Lashblast etc) standards, but full. The first thing I notice on application, and the best thing about this mascara, is LENGTH. I put it on and my lashes immediately lengthen. I have to work a bit harder for fullness, but it can be achieved. The formula is really nice too. It's soft, pliable, and yes glossy. I don't get any flaking or fall out, no crunchy lashes. This is an enhanced, natural, open eyed look, which for day, is perfect for me.
I have very sensitive eyes and was looking for something that won't cause any irritation, considering that I spend all day taking off my makeup off then putting it back on again (I'm a beauty therapy student).
Purchased this, along with the Clinique mascara primer, from Ebay for much less than it retails in the department stores in Sydney.
I have long lashes that, in my opinion, are not particularly thick (I am half Chinese, half Irish) and are also rather straight.
I find this mascara to be wonderful in regards to being non-irritating and provides a clean, defined look to lashes. Definitely darkens lashes and whilst I would not consider the finish to be 'glossy', they are incredibly soft and feathery to touch. They make the most of my length and whilst I wouldn't wear this mascara for a night out, they glide onto the lashes and you can build the coverage with no clumps or flakes- seriously, after a whole day they have not flaked or clumped at all.
I would totally recommend purchasing the Clinique lash primer and applying it under the Naturally Glossy mascara (even if you don't let it dry fully, it doesn't clump) as you can really tell the difference. When worn together, my lashes are much darker, much thicker and more defined than when wearing the Naturally Glossy on its own. There's also quite a difference in the lift factor when using the primer.
I would definitely purchase this mascara again, particularly for day wear. Not HG material but with my sensitivity issues, definitely worth it.
Ok mascara, I like that it does not clump and it does look natural. I think there are drug store brands that would perform as well or even better for a lower price. Nothing about this mascara compels me to buy it again.
Makes me look like I have naturally great lashes - I never get clumps or smearing, it lengthens and defines, it's perfect for day wear, and every time I try another brand or type of mascara instead, I regret it and come back to this one.
I am surprised you guys like this. You must have long thick natural lashes. It did not lift thicken or do anything to my lashes. It does look glossy but what is the point of having glossy lashes when they look so limp?
This is a really good basic mascara. I got my first tube as a Christmas gift and I've loved it since then. I like a very natural look to my lashes and this gives me that look. It's not clumpy, it lengthens, and it's a good staple to have. At $14 it's averagely priced so I would purchase this again.
the first mascara i ever used was a gift i got from my aunt, and this is it. I've been using this for years and years, it's my most fave mascara ever. i don't need much of a mascara, because my lashes are long enough and dense enough. most mascaras are too much for me, but this one works perfect. I'd say if you already have lashes and just need something basic to enhance your eyes, use this.
I have tried tons and tons of mascaras. I have tried:
- Max factor 2000 calorie mascara
- MAC zoom lash mascara
- Maybelline Volume express mascara
- Dior show blackout mascara
- Estee lauder turbo lash vibrating mascara
- Avon astonishing lengths mascara
- Estee double wear zero smudge lengthening mascara
- Rimmel glam eyes mascara
- Clinique naturally glossy mascara
I havenít reviewed all of these yet, but i will eventually.
Anyway after spending around AUD $300 on mascara, i was going to give up on mascara in general. In fact, I stopped wearing mascara for a month (i only wore Dior show on nights out). I hated that i had spent that much money trying out different brands with horrible results. Most mascara were either clumpy, thick, not volumizing, spidery etc... I was browsing through makeup alley the other day and stumbled across an interesting review on the Clinique naturally glossy mascara. After reading over 500 reviews i decided this would be the last mascara i will buy for a long time. (i know, Iím a sucker!) I went to my local Clinique counter and bought a tube in jet black. GOD this is amazing! I have short, straight lashes and this mascara defined them very well! It slightly darkened them, separated them and i swear i even noticed that it lengthens them. I am very pleased with this mascara, and i will use it every day! I think my search for a decent mascara is officially over :D
