I like this a lot and think it's saved my hair, but mainly I had to put my two cents in to say this...To those reviewers who don't follow the instructions and leave this on for a much longer period of time than listed on the container, I say, "Your review doesn't count!" Protein treatments should NOT be left on your hair longer than the manufacturer recommends. Not to mention, if you're not going to follow the instructions in general, then are upset with the results, I really don't want to hear your opinion. That is all. Off my soapbox now.

I bought this product after it was recommended to me by people on the boards, and I am soo glad I did! I wasn't expecting much because most hair products don't work well on me, but this was really amazing! I have thick hair with a slight wave, but mostly very frizzy. Nothing usually helps the frizz except flat ironing. So I was really surpised after using Emergencee...it got rid of 98% of my frizz! It also made my hair much softer and much shinier. I just applied the product as directed and then blow dryed my hair using a frizz serum (which on its own has never helped my frizz). I did not use a roundbrush or anything to style it. I did not flat iron this time, but when I do it will probably be a lot easier and quicker since this product made my hair so much more manageable and almost frizz-free. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with frizzy or damaged hair, or who just wants something to bring their hair back to life again and make it look pretty. I have never had a hair product work this well!

I bought this on the recommendations of the board, but after using it I saw no improvement on my hair. In fact, it felt more like straw. I then read Paula Begoun's review and saw that one of the ingredients actually strips the hair and does the exact opposite of what the product is marketed to do as a "strengthening polymeric reconstructor". I stopped using it and immediately saw an improvement in my hair. The other conditioners were compensating for the stripping of my hair as the directions call for washing and conditioning your hair after applying emergencee. I now use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery hair mask at one-third the price and have seen a huge improvement in my hair. My husband commented on how soft it was now. Yeah, now that I stopped using this stuff and got a real deep conditioner!

Thanks to everyone else’s reviews I decided to try this product, and it is fabulous. To start my hair was to the middle of my back, and I decided to add my curl back in with a perm (have naturally curly hair that I permed straight about a year ago). Big mistake, my normally very strong hair that can take abuse, finally fried. I tried everything, and seriously this is the only thing that helped. I still had to cut it all off but this continues to help the damage parts that are left. I love it.

Excellent product! I bought this after reading the high reviews on MUA. The first few times I used it, I have to admit I didn't notice much of a difference (maybe it was the shampoos I happened to be using at the time?) Anyway, I was determined to see what was so great about it. The other day, I tried it once again and it worked wonders! First of all, a little background info on my hair: very fine, dry, tons of split ends, damaged from bleaching, dyes and daily blow drying and flat ironing. It hasn't looked healthy in years!

I shampooed with my Biolage Color Care shampoo and rinsed. Then, I applied the Nexxus Emergencee to my head and left it in for a couple minutes. After rinsing it out, I shampooed again with my Biolage Hydrating shampoo and followed up with the Biolage Conditioning Balm. I found that using these Biolage products really helped a good deal. (If you've tried this product and don't see a difference in your hair, I recommend trying it again but using different shampoos/conditioners with it. I was using any shampoo/conditioner at first but the Biolage is the one that works best with the Emergencee - for me, anyway.) I dried my hair like usual and instantly noticed how stronger and silkier it felt. It was shinier too and there was a noticeable difference in the texture! Absolutely love it!!! Will continue to use it weekly until my hair looks healthy again. Next time, I'll try leaving the products in longer. All in all, an HG product for me! A bit pricey as far as drugstore hair products go but worth the extra dollars because it truly improves the condition of your hair.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this product! I've been using it for over a year along with a deep conditioner & its great! It repairs my hair & enhances it. Whenever I use it (once a month) my hair feels fantastic.
If you use any chemicals on your hair and/or use heat appliances, you must use emergencee & your hair will feel like brand new. Make sure to deep condition after as this puts moisture into your hair after the protein treatment repairs it.

I'm so glad I discovered this product on MUA. I've only used it twice so far, but even after the first treatment, I noticed a big difference - my dull, poufy, frizzy, dry, damaged, lifeless, over-processed hair that I flat-iron on a daily basis (I'm not exagerating) became less frizzy and poufy and much more shiny, soft, manageable, and healthy-looking. After the second treatment 2 weeks later, the results were even more amazing and closer to virgin hair than I've ever been since I started coloring and using all sorts of chemical straightening and heat appliances on my hair. When I touch my hair now, I can feel a healthy, smooth sheen rather than the coarse, straw-like feel I had before. I didn't purchase any new shampoos or conditioners and just used the ones I've been using. This is what I do:
(1) Clarify with my Suave Clarifying Shampoo.
(2) Apply Emergencee generously on my hair and make sure that I distribute the product evenly. Leave on for 5-10 minutes. (I don't apply any heat.)
(3) Rince thorughly.
(4) Shampoo with my Lanza Moisture Recovery Shampoo.
(5) Apply my Lanzy Moisture Recovery Treatment Balm for Coarse, Frizzy Hair. Leave on for the usual 5 minutes then rinse and style as usual.
From my experience, I do notice that the rinsing and shampoo step after the treatment is very important. Otherwise, hair will appear coated until the next shampoo. This product is amazing and has done wonders for my over-processed hair.

My hair is very long and extremely damaged from daily blow drying and flat ironing, high-lift blonde color, and heavy bleach highlighting. Emergencee has transformed my hair from dull, dry and straw-like to healthy, shiny and lusterous and most importantly has stopped breakage. I use it every 2 weeks. If your hair is less damaged, you could probably use it less often. I wish I had discovered this years ago. If you color, get heavy bleach highlights, blow dry and flat iron daily (or all of the above like I do) and your hair is showing the damage, you need this!

Did absolutely ZERO for my hair...wish I had returned it, but used the whole bottle wishing for a different outcome...totally agree, this is over hyped and over rated...
