I love this foundation. I have super pale skin and find it really hard to find the right colour match. But 0.5 is perfect for me. It covers really nicely. I will Neva buy a different one. Love it
It's Urban Decay and everybody's raving about it.Worth a try, so I thought.
Texture : liquid, creamy enough to spread, but not oily at all once it's absorbed into the skin.
Smell : IDK, i noticed something chemicall-y underneath.
Color matching : I'm NC 25, and I got UD Naked Skin in #4.0. Perfect match for me, UD Naked Skin just blends right into my skin.
Coverage : medium, buildable.
Finish : semi-dewy [?] not matte but not dewy either, it falls in between.

- does NOT cover blemishes, red spots or skin discoloration at all.even with 2 coats.and i hate the feeling of putting 2 layers of foundation on my face.
- claimed to be 'your skin, but better' foundation; sorry, i don't see that using this foundation.
- rather pricey don't you think?

the bottle is utterly nice to look at.
and no, I'm not seeing anything as Urban Decay claimed about this product.
they should've put it this way: 'this is a foundation with medium coverage'.
despite all of my whining, this pretty decent foundation; but i also get the same result with WnW tinted moisturizer for 3 bucks only.
why would i flush another 40 bucks down to the drain if i could get the same result with cheaper stuff anyway?
***UPDATE***
I gave this foundation a second chance.
At the first time I wore it, I was going to an outdoor photography job, so I was in a bit of hurry on 'let's put some makeup before get ourselves rolling on the dirt'.And my take on the product is what I wrote above.
2nd Chance : on a formal evening occasion, indoor.
Used primer, applied it with E.L.F flat top powder brush, but I didn't set it with any powder.
Claims :
Coverage without compromise. Our weightless formula blurs imperfections for a flawless finish that feels invisible, but looks professionally retouched.
Result: still can't get that 'full coverage' without feeling 'hey people, look at this layer of makeup!'.
weightless: yes.
But one odd thing: i feel dull, like my skin is absorbing all the light and moisture. I literally look at the mirror and seeing an old rag on my face.
Worst part: it transferred everywhere. On my husband's suit, on my dress when I took the dress off.
I thought it only happened for once when I was literally jumping and rolling on the dirt during the day job, outdoor, in the tropic's sun and humidity. I could forgive that it actually transferred to my camera's monitor and left oily-nasty blotches all over. But during an indoor - formal occasion? when i actually act like a well-mannered lady? That's just...*shaking head*.
Okay I have combination skin; that my T-zone needs blotting every 3 hours or so,and for the record, this transfer issue doesn't happen with my Skin79 or Hanskin BB cream,E.L.F flawless finish, nor my Revlon Colorstay. Yes, those last two perhaps THE most hated foundation, but those two work for me,beautifully.
No satin skin happy ending for me with this foundation.

This is the most expensive foundation I have ever owned, but I think it is worth every penny!! I will keep repurchasing as long as they keep making it. This goes on like a dream. Blends easily, sets on it's own, feels light and looks light and natural. You do not need a powder for this foundation. I have a very oily tzone and I do not use powder with this when I first put it on. It looks amazing and is not quite matte, but it isn't dewy.It just looks like skin. I use one pump and that is perfect for a layer of light/medium coverage which is all I need, but it is buildable. 2 pumps gives a full coverage but keeps the natural finish. It is a bit more matte with 2 layers but it is not heavy at all.
I was using Mary Kay matte foundation before this and liked it, but after a couple of hours the oils on my forehead were eating my makeup like acid. With this one, I don't get oily nearly as fast, it takes about 5 hours for the oil to show up as apposed to about 2 hours with my MK. When my face does get oily, I can feel it, but you can't really tell by looking at my face. It holds the shine down. That is the point when I will add a little powder and I am good as new. I put this on at 6:40a yesterday morning and at 4:45p when I got home from work my makeup still looked nice. Not brand new and as fresh anymore, but still good. This is my first HG foundation ever! I have never had a foundation that I loved so much I stopped having any interest in trying anything else, or even used for more than a couple of days straight, but this is it. I heart Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation.

When I first apply this, it looks amazing. I love how it looks--smooth, pretty, even, natural but radiant. It's almost perfect. It also blends well. But it doesn't take long after I apply it for my face to look like an oily mess. And it seems to fade away. Too bad, because if it would hold up okay on me, it would be darn near perfect. As it is, it's too expensive for it not to look good a couple of hours after application.

When MAC discontiuned Mineralize Satinfinish, I was looking for something similar to replace it. Reading the discription that Urban Decay provides which is -"This formula helps skin achieve a natural, illuminated and bright finish— like the beautiful skin you were born with. Naked Skin is formulated with light-diffusing spheres, transforming you to look professionally retouched. Buildable coverage allows women to customize their look." I thought this would be the perfect thing. Well...not so much. I will say the color selection on this formula is great. The 3.0 matched me perfectly and I'm normally a MAC NC25-30. They have a nice range of tones/undertones that I think most people could find a color to match them. To me, the coverage leaves something to be desired. While is does have the illuminated finish I like the formula seems thin and lacks even decent coverage with a few coats. It goes on lighter than most tinted moisturizers or BB creams. I have a few slight, very light, acne scars and this couldn't even cover them at all. I think if you have completely perfect, flawless skin you may like this...but any skin issues will not be covered with this formula. You will need a seperate concealer, which I don't always like to do. Also, Im dry and I feel like it went a lil patchy on me. It contains Sodium Hyaluronate, which is supposed to be moisturizing, but on me tends to have an opposite effect for some reason. Overall though I am giving this a 3 due to the fact that on a normal skin that doesn't need much coverage I think this could be beautiful. I don't regret trying this at all because it turned me onto the Good Karma Optical Blending foundation brush, which is probably the best brush I've ever purchased! Whats nice about this too is Sephora will give you a sample so you're not stuck buying something you hate...if you think you'll like it, give it a try...not much to lose.
After a few hours it looked both dry and shiny in patches. I normally don't have an issue with that!
It also contains more than one type of Dimethicone (wich is not good for your skin) and combined with the fact that this foundation really gets in your pores... well, not good! :(
I purchased this foundation about 4 months ago, and I have not fully fallen in love with this foundation, but it is a nice foundation. I really like the packaging because I like how sanitary the pump is but the lid comes off quite easily and I had an incident when it opened and pumped foundation onto the inside of my makeup bag. This foundation is very liquidy and it has a scent/ consistency similar to Mac Matchmaster foundation. I found selecting my shade very simple, I bought the foundation in Sephora, they had the clear matching tool which wasn't helpful, but the testers and numbering system made it easy to select a shade. The price at Sephora was $38 (USD) for 1 fl oz, a standard size for foundation, it is slightly cheaper than MUFE HD, this foundation is expensive but at the same time similar in price to many other high end foundations so the price was expected.
This foundation leaves my normal/ combination skin with an dewy sometime oily appearance immediately after application but I lightly set it with powder and that goes away. This foundation is very buildable, for everyday I use one pump on this foundation on a Sigma F82 and it blends easily to a light coverage that I can barely feel on my face, but for special occasions and when my skin breaks out I use 2 pumps for a heavier coverage and it still takes little effort to blend.
I'm not going to run out and repurchase this foundation the minute I use it up, but maybe someday I will buy it again, the packaging is ok, the scent it ok, I like the consistency, color match, blendability, everyday coverage but I hate the oily look it gives my face. Basically this foundation is great for dry skin with slight discoloration, oily skin people, unless you have a great setting powder, beware.
The is feels great on my skin but became oily almost immediately. I have to stay away from anything with lots of silicones so that might be the problem. For those without silicone issues the finish of this is beautiful.
Originally I liked this but I stopped using it because it just doesn't last on my skin. It also sinks into my pores and looks oily and disgusting. The consistency is just too thin and accentuates any imperfection on my skin. It wears off very quickly but sticks to ny dry patches or pores, so it looks patchy and uneven. It was also very expensive ($40+ CAD). I bought it near the end of the summer, but I couldn't return it because I didn't realize how much I disliked it until I moved back to school (a city with no Sephora). The bottle looks pretty so I just keep it on my counter with my other products but I never use it.

Colour: I have actually found a foundation that is pale enough for me (shade 1.0 but I would be quite happy with 0.5 too) without being too yellow or pink
Feel: Feels like my skin which is a huge plus for me but after a few hours wear it gets a bit itchy around my chin and tbh I can't wait to get it off :(
Coverage: The SA says the product is really buildable, she gave me 'medium' coverage which I would say is more like full for me. I would have liked much less on but that is just me.
Transfer: Terrible transfer, one phonecall a half hour after putting this on and my cell was covered and my cheek wasn't. Sadly thats enough to put me right off.
Finish: Ok, on me works well with my combi skin keeping my dry cheeks hydrated and my oilyT shine free.
Overall - A good foundation but not what I am looking for
