i love some musc-based scents and planned on loving this. i don't hate it or love it, i'm just puzzled by it...honestly, i don't smell anything when i put this on. i don't smell it in the bottle, either. i'm going to wear it mixed w/other stuff, like RL blue, to see if staying power is increased. i wouldn't buy this again bcs. it might as well be baby oil in a roller bottle for my chemistry. two lippies for the price and great service from auric blends.

This is a staple for me. It is the best Egyptian Musk I think there is. I would put DSH as a close second, but I find hers to be lighter and pure skin scent (which is not a bad thing). The Egyptian Goddess has a woody tone to it that makes it so special. It does not overpower and it lasts and smells better over time. My best friend had this on one evening while we were in NYC for dinner and as the breeze blew, I smelled it on her. It was not strong, just a simple waft that was so nice. She said she gets so many compliments on it. At 7 bucks, how can you go wrong?

This is *exactly* the fragrance that we used to wear back in the day (70's, in high school) that used to be called "Egyptian Musk". Love it!

A simple, lovely musk. Clean and slightly flowery. Great on its own or layered with other fragrances. I first bought this at this funky thrift store/headshop place (the kind of place where they sold used Levis, incense and hookahs) back when I was in high school. I've since outgrown that store, but this scent has always stayed with me.

YUMMY! I love this scent! Not too strong of a musk but you know it is there. I like Auric Blends because you can control where it goes with the roll on applicator. Inexpensive too!

This is *fantastic*. I wasn't expecting much from this because I normally don't like musks, but the reviews here were too good not to at least try it. EG is basically just a very light, sweet musk. When I press my nose to my wrist I get whiffs of very sweet-smelling flowers, almost cotton-candyish in their sweetness. You really can't go wrong with this scent - it smells fabulous, it's only $8, it's a perfume oil so there's no harsh smelling alcohol, and it's light enough to wear during the summer.

I find this stuff AMAZING! It is a delicate and soft musk on me without any sharpness or synthetic notes. I could not smell this directly from the bottle or after I applied it...but after about 30min it was VERY pleasant. This will be great alone or layered. It's hard to go wrong with this at $7 for a 10ml roll on bottle?!?! Many oil samples cost at least that much! This is a must try!!!

First of all, the reason that I bought this was because I wanted an egyptian musk. Although I'd never actually smelled egyptian musk on its own I thought it might be what Narciso Rodriguez and Sarah Jessica Parker have in common. After researching the reviews on this site and some others I figuered this was the best one to try of the "cheaper" ones. I bought it on ebay for $10 including shipping, which is a pretty good price for perfume IMO (especially since my second choice was NR for her musc oil which has a MUCH larger price tag).

At first sniff I was very dissapointed. For some reason it really reminded me of stables until I realized why: something in it smells a lot like a product I used to clean saddles with. Although I'd always loved that product it wasn't exactly what I would like to smell like. I think this might be what some people refer to as an eraser-like smell. After wearing it for about two weeks I've noticed that this smell becomes worse if I rub the oil in, it isn't nearly as dominating if I just roll the oil on or pat it in. And

The reason I gave it four lippies are:

* The packaging is excellent. It's easy to bring along, it doesn't leak, it doesn't make the whole bag smell of perfume.

* It's a great scent for when you don't want to smell like perfume but still want to smell good. Skin scent is the best description I've heard for it.

* The lasting power is great, and not only that but it smells BETTER after twelve hours than it does at first. At least on me, at that point it smells a lot more like how I thought egyptian musk would smell.

* I love layering it with Marc Jacobs Essence. It really gives that perfume depth, and makes it less girly girly.

EDIT: I'm a bit ambivalent about this one. The low price and good packaging makes me feel like it deserves four lippies but my recent experience with the Narciso oil makes me want to give it only two. EG is not nearly as alluring to me, and I don't think I'll go back to it. I think maybe EG is a bit to animalic for me, or the "leather-cleanser"-smell isn't that and just something else that disturbs my sensitive nose. Perhaps it doesn't work as well with my body chemistry as NR (which is filthily expensive).

UPDATE: This smells so cheap compared to NR, I poured it into the toilet. continued >>

I just bought the Egyptian Goddess perfume oil for the first time. I got it because the reviews on this scent was highly recommendable. When I first put this oil on, I was very pleased. I could not stop sniffing my arms. The fragrance lasted a long time on the skin too. This is by far my number one fragrance. I am in love with this stuff!! It's so sexy. I also love to put a dab on before I go to bed. The scent helps me sleep like a baby. I know I will be purchasing this for as long as it is around.

A beautiful musk, which makes a fantastic base for Opium and other spicy orientals as it seems to enhance some of the notes.

I also like to decant it into a 30 ml roller-ball bottle, add 5 mls of Vanilla essential oil, a few drops of Sandalwood essential oil, and a drop of Amber oil.

Try it, you'll love it - and so will the man in your life|! ^_~
