I'm really surprised to see the Prada name on this - Prada, originator of sophisticated fragrances. This is more like an Escada which, to me at least, is offensive in it's in-your-face cloying jamyness and brash flower odors (not even fragrance). The bottle is pretty, at any rate.
Well, that's a simple scent: caramel followed by benzoin, followed by musk. A cozy skin scent but doesn't excite me in any way. I have to stick my nose to my wrist to smell a hint of sweet musk after an hour. It's not worth having the (beautiful) bottle for me...
Edit: After a few more applications I can detect a distinctive undertone of smoke, that's weird but interesting too. Still, not a signature perfume, more the kind of scent I'd like to linger around while reading a book.
LOVE this fragrance! This fragrance is a 'grown-up gourmand', sweet without being cavity-inducing and cloying. I don't understand how it could be compared to Pink Sugar. To me, Pink Sugar is more like a cupcake factory-gone-haywire while Candy is more like Ladurée in Paris. The benzoin keeps it from turning into a typical foody-type oriental, and gives it more depth and earthiness. The lasting power is impressive... I don't know how people did not have it otherwise. It's a fragrance that's warmer and supposed to sit close to the skin. I could still catch whiffs of it on me at the end of the day. The packaging somewhat gripes me, however. The top looks like it insists on being pulled off! Nonetheless, it looks luxurious sitting on my table.

I love this scent- it is a sweet yet sophisticated scent with caramel and vanilla notes, as far as I can detect. Maybe some amber... It's a gorgeous scent, powdery on the dry down, but MY GOD where is the staying power?? I hate that! You pay $100 for a perfume, you expect it to still smell after an hour!!! GRRRR. Super cute bottle design, however!

Smelled good in the magazine, but when I tried a sample, this scent gave me a headache. The vanilla scent is way too strong. This is not a light, fresh scent. It's more dark for everyday use. I actually feel old putting this on. I will not purchase this at all.
It lives up to its name, but in a bland kind of way. Sweet and not unpleasant, but I have no desire to smell like it. Longevity for me was decent, a few hours. DH couldn't stand it!

I got a large decant of this for testing. I didn't expect to like it as I don't like overly sweet sugery frags, I was pleasantly surprised by this. It is not SUPER sweet, it's gently sweet with a nice musky warm base. I actually like this a lot and may end up buying a bigger size when the decant runs out. Staying power is OK, not the best, not the worse, the sweetness fades the most and leaves vanilla and musk with a hint of gourmand. Sprayed on clothes lasts much longer than skin, which is par for the course w/ most perfumes. I tried flowerbomb expecting it to smell something like this, but Candy is much better.

first of all i absolutely love the packaging, it's a real collectors item perfume. unfortunately i can't stand the smell, it gives me headaches, it does not stay on too long, but the smell is very mellow heavy warm sweet smell that i can't stand, i like more light clear scents. i will not return the bottle since i really love how it looks, but will not wear it in the near future.
The scent of this perfume is lovely, light and fresh. I was excited to receive it as a Christmas gift but discovered that it is light, yes, so light that the scent evaporates within minutes. In order to capture the scent I tried spraying over a body oil and when that didn't work, I increased the amount of product on my body, spraying all over. No improvement. The scent is gone by the time I walk out the door. I will return this very expensive item.
