I really can not seem to find the hype in the Cetaphil brand. The cleanser was a waste of time to me. This lotion honestly leaves me greasy & makes me 10x more oily than I normally am. If I use a small amount, I feel dry. Even using it on my hands or body I felt completely greasy. I hated this lotion.

I bought this in the travel size when I was on a winter vacation without moisturizer. I intended it for my legs and arms, but when I saw how nicely it absorbed and kept my skin soft without making it greasy, I used it on my cheeks and forehead. This is a beautiful moisturizer for me, much better than expensive Sephora ones I've tried. (Though not as good as Philosophy Miracle Worker, my HG.) The chief benefit is that it sinks in right away, and keeps my skin soft for hours without getting it shiny or eating my makeup off. As someone with combination skin, this is quite a blessing. That said, I only use it on the dry parts on my face.

And of course, its low price tag doesn't hurt.

GREAT FOR THE BODY, loved it! Moisturized my dry, scaly looking legs to a much smoother texture.

However, it's TOO HEAVY FOR MY FACE and IT BURNS WHEN APPLIED. It worked great for a couple of weeks on my dry winter patches, but after that I had tons of whiteheads. Oh no...

Will repurchase for the body only.

This is the best body moisturizer I have ever used. I have very dry skin, especially in the winter and this is the only lotion I have ever used that keeps my legs soft. I have bad allergies and cannot use most scented lotions at all so I love that this is scent free. I use it every night and the difference is incredible. I haven't used another moisturizer since.

I use this as the last step to remove makeup after applying extra virgin olive oil! It's very pleasant, gentle, leave my skin so smooth and clean!

however, I don't think it suits for oily skin of if you want a cleaner cleaser!

Wonderful stuff! I have used this this lotion for years and have never had a complaint about it. I was using bio-oil for a while after a case of chicken pox left me with scars, but even a pure oil product didn't make my skin as moisturized and smooth as cetaphil.

I even use it as a make up remover. Put a generous amount on a cotton pad and boom! No more make up! Granted, I don't wear heavy make up, but its always worked wonderfully for me.

I was searching for a very moisturizing lotion that does not irritate my acne prone skin and this works very well! Although it is a bit greasy on the skin, I would much prefer a dewey glow than a dry, flakey complexion. So in that area I do not really have any complaints. It is an awesome winter moisturizer, especially for the night time. I think this may be a bit too heavy for the summer so I will probably just use it as a nighttime moisturizer then and stick with an spf moisturizer for the day. My one complaint is that it does not have spf. However, I highly recommend this product to anyone whose skin is irritated very easily or has acne prone skin.

Edit: This worked for my very well when my skin was dry and irritated during the winter months, but I started developing cystic acne as soon as the weather started warming up. I stopped using this and my skin began to slowly clear. So use this with caution if you are acne prone!

Love this stuff.

My skin has been super dry and sensitive this winter and all of the other moisturizes i tried irritated my skin or didn't provide enough moisture. I literally tried every drugstore moisturizer and even a few higher end ones and nothing compared to this.

It feels great when it goes on my skin. I use it in the morning and at night. I have to be careful not to apply too much to my t zone though or else it gets a little oily.

It's the only moisturizing lotion I'll ever dare to use!

After trying out (for the first time) one certain lotion and having my face feeling like it was burning (bad mistake putting it all over), I decided to stick to Cetaphil.

This lotion is really gentle for sensitive skin and daily use. Even though it makes my oily skin look a bit oilier, it doesn't really matter when it's the only proven one for me.

What I don't like is that it's really greasy and takes a couple of minutes to absorb, while others take only a few seconds.

Overall, it's almost the best for sensitive skin, but not for oily skin.

I have relatively dry skin so there's usually never a pimple in sight, but almost instantly after using this product there was a MASSIVE breakout on my forehead. I went from having acne-free skin to having an over abundance of zits. However, I still liked this product because aside from making me break out, it still moisturized my face pretty well. So I guess I would still recommend this product, but would definitely avoid using it on your forehead if I were you!
