I must be one of the lucky ones because this smells gorgeous on me! After I spritzed some on at the department store I could not stop smelling my wrist the entire day, it was addictive. Since then I've received many compliments on it, my friends and family love smelling it, as well as total strangers. The other day I went into a store and the woman behind the counter exclaimed "Your perfume is awesome!". I've never had the same kinds of reactions with other perfumes I've worn. This is a scent I know I will always wear, its just so yummy, but complex and not sickeningly sweet. Love it!

I wasn't sure what to add to the reviews below, because it does appear that it smells different on different people. Perhaps in my case it's because I already eat so much chocolate that the scent clashes with my body chemistry? It was bad when I first applied it (and I used just one little spritz) and it got worse as the day progressed. (As if maybe I hadn't showered in several days and tried to cover up the smell with old produce found in the trash...?) I couldn't wait to get home after work and scrub myself in the shower.

This is one of those scents that I deeply admire but I can rarely wear in public. As fascinating as it is (almost dirty patchouli, decadent desserts), this one unfortunately wears me instead of me wearing it. From time to time, I'll give myself a small spritz when I'm at home with my husband (he actually really loves it), but it isn't really suited for my personality and body chemistry as I had hoped. Contrary to many, I don't smell it often in my city, but one day, I passed this extremely chic lady in her 60s (oversized Chanel glasses, impeccable black dress) and she was wearing this. It smelled absolutely perfect on her--mature, a little mysterious, and confident.

I think part of the fascination of this perfume is that the scent is so complex, one can get many different impressions from it. A heavy whiff of it can put you over the top if you get hit with all of it in it's full magnitude all at once. I find that not only does it smell different on different people but, depending where you put it on your body and at different times, you will get a different scent experience all together. The best way to experience this fragrance for me is when I just catch a stray nuance of it now and then floating in the air around me when I move. It leaves my nose constantly bewitched reaching out trying to identify and categorize the separate notes... I find putting it on the nape of my neck works the best for me to achieve this- one shot and no rubbing. Worth a last try if you happen to have a bottle that you have all but written off.

Has such a popular following that it made me run in the other direction for years. The snob in me hates wearing any fragrance that every second woman and girl has in her handbag. I like feeling a little unique. My friend pushed me to try some this on a recent shopping trip, I'm glad I avoided it for long. Very rich, sweet and far to girly, not for me.

got this as a gift. love the scent. packaging is a pain in the a, and its hard to travel with because of its awkward & bulky shape. plus, the actual perfume is super pricey so im glad i got it as a gift. the pro's are that the scent stays pretty much all day, which is a problem i have with perfumes not having a lot of staying power. i will use my bottle sparingly until it is finished, but probably wont be repurchasing with my own money because the pricetag is a deterrent. but its a high quality product. continued >>

The perfume Goddesses know I wanted to love this product. My girlfriend has been wearing it for years and I am blown away each time by how magnificent it smells on her. Well be careful what you wish for is all I can say. As a result of all my compliments the poor darling bought me my very own bottle of Angel for my birthday. At first I was delighted, hurray now I get to smell like Erika.... And then I sprayed some on my wrist....Surely, I thought this is just the initial scent, it will die down and change into that fabulous blend of coffee, mint, lavender and caramel that I've come to associate with my best friend walking into a room. But no....it just got worse. I smelled like a musky man that tried to cover it up with baby powder. I don't think a cologne has EVER smelled worse on me. All I can say is test this product and then test it again before purchasing it. This cologne is definitely NOT FOR EVERYONE.

My aunt was given this perfume by her partner and I think it suits her, but it's really not something I would wear myself. On her, I could detect some chocolatey, smokey and sweet notes. A dash of spice as well. A very warm, rich, wintery type of scent. Quite heavy too. The bottle is stunning though! Not something I would wear though.

I'cant remember how many bottles I've purchased of Angel. It's my favorite scent for almost 10 years.
It was unfamiliar to me, but my husband (at the time he was my boyfriend) bought this as a gift for me. I had to get used to this unusual scent. It didn't stink, but it was unlike the floral scents I was used wearing. I used it anyway, because it was a gift and I was crazy in love with my boyfriend, so nothing he could do was wrong!
After a coulple of weeks wearing it I fell in love with it. People on the street asked me what I was wearing, my perfume was amazing! :)
I was (and still am) convinced, this is my signature scent. My skin agrees with it 100%. And very important: it stays all day long and you don't need much of it. I love it!

My favorite perfume of ALL TIME. I first got this on my sweet 16 trip to spain 8 years ago and I still have the original bottle! I get it refilled every year at Bloomingdales :) The scent is a bit strong, but I love it. My husband loves it as well :D
