I LOVE this little tool! My skin: Very fair, sensitive, acne-prone, oily and very allergy-prone. I use this every night and actually look forward to it. It feels amazing and never causes my very sensitive skin any discomfort or irritation. I use it with my Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (liquid) and the combo is absolutely perfect. The Cetaphil provides just enough cushion, but allows the bristles to deep clean. I also LOVE that it's battery-powered. No charging and no worrying about the charger component getting wet.
Now, I'm going to compare this little gadget to the Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion brush and the Clarisonic Mia brush. I've had both and would like to share my thoughts on the differences. The first I purchased was the Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion. It comes with a charger base and extra brush heads, plus their customer service was excellent. The brush itself was fantastic and gentle, but the unit broke VERY easily. I called the company and they replaced it at no cost, but that one broke shortly after receiving it as well. The problem was, if the bottom of the unit (that sits on the charger) gets wet AT ALL, the whole unit malfunctions and just stops...permanently. VERY inconvenient. It was around the same cost as the Olay, but I wouldn't repurchase it unless they came out with a battery-powered model or upgraded their charging system.
After my disappointment with the Pretika, I purchased a Clarisonic Mia. It is very similar to the Pretika, but much more expensive. The charging system is similar, but the Clarisonic won't break if exposed to water. It also holds a charge for a long time. The problem with this one is that it is SO strong and aggressive on your skin. As stated before, my skin is sensitive and this thing just tore me up! I purchased the gentlest (Delicate) brush head when I purchased the unit, but returned both after only a month. With each use, my skin became more and more irritated and raw.
So, all in all, I highly recommend the Olay Professional Pro-X Advanced Cleansing tool over the other two I've tried. At only around $30, it's a steal and is very effective at deep cleansing and making your skin feel wonderful and clean. My skin has even cleared up completely since beginning to use this 3 weeks ago. Great deal and convenient to use!

I used it for about a month and developed broken capillaries all over especially on my cheeks. I had used the supplied cleanser and Neutrogena makeup removing cleanser with it. I have really fair skin but it is not sensitive, it is used to getting a lot of treatments because I used to have acne, when I wash my face normally I really scrub it.
Be careful, my broken caps have faded in some places slightly, but they are permanent without laser treatment. If you look up broken caps on the net you will see this has happened to a lot of people with the Olay and the Clarisonics. There is no way to know if this will happen to you and if it does it is too late.

I was keen on getting a cleansing brush from all the raves. It was too expensive to get a clarisonic incase it didn't work on me. So I gave Olay a try and turns out really good.
I've use this every night with my Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser for the last 5 months. I've found the pores around my nose area are less clogged. I had no pimples/ acne ever since I've used the brush. Previously, I get occasionally spots. So this really cleans out my skin. My skin texture is alot smoother and brighter.
People are around me are complementing how good my skin and asking me the secret behind it. Highly recommend to everyone including those with sensitive skin like myself.

I overdid it on my first use. I used a very foaming, vitamin C-based cleanser, and operated it for probably way too long, while trying out the two speeds. Result: I had to spend the next morning wearing petroleum jelly all over my face coz my skin was so dry, it hurt.
During that one use, I thought it actually pulled at my skin, especially near the eyes. Again, maybe it was my fault for applying too much pressure.
I immediately gave it to my mum. I warned her to be careful with it. I think she likes it.
Like other reviewers, I had the hardest time trying to open the battery compartment. It took the man in the house (helped by his manly pride)...
so i just got this for my birthday. and when i first used it i was so anxious to try i like it alot my skin feels really sof and looks better im very happy with thos product and i wuld repurchase again.
Like most people, I wanted a Clarisonic but didn't like the price tag. After hearing from alot of people that this was a dupe for a fraction of the price I ran out and got it. I have acne prone/sensitive skin and use it once a day. I have been using this brush for over 1 year now, and my skintone is definately more radiant and even because of this brush. I have alot of clogged pores on my nose & chin, this has helped with them as well. My skin overall is alot smoother, and brighter. I think everyone should run out and get this brush, its God sent :) continued >>

I bought this (like most people) because I'm interested in a Clarisonic but wanted to try a similar product first. I am torn here. This product surely removes makeup very well (can see all the color being washed off the brush) and leaves my skin feeling really soft and clean. I don't use this constantly but I'll use it for a week here and there. It seems like the weeks I do use it I have more bumps on my face than the times I don't use it. Maybe I am using it too long/vigorously? I kind of think the brush is too soft (I do not have very sensitive skin) so perhaps I am scrubbing too much.
To me, this is and OKAY product. I like that it removes makeup so thoroughly and I love the texture of my skin after use. I do not like that it seems to be causing more clogged pores over time. I still wonder how it stands up against the Clarisonic but I don't think I will be finding out.

I will never be without this! I don't feel like all of my makeup is completely off unless I use this facial brush. It exfoliates really well, and overall my complexion looks so much more smooth and soft. I think I paid $30 for this, which is completely worth it - especially compared to other facial brushes like the clarisonic. I've tried the Pretika facial brush and I liked the concept of it oscillating as opposed to just spinning like the Olay Pro x... But the brush head on the Pretika was really big and it didn't feel like it ever got my skin all the way "clean" & it just quit working after like 2 months. Ive had my Olay pro x brush for about a year so far and ive had no problems :) Pretty much, this brush is amazing! continued >>

This is great, I use this nightly to really clean my face. When I first got this I used it twice a day and that was a little too much for my skin. Now that I use it just at night( which is when my face is the dirtiest) my skin is clear and smooth and I feel like it gives my complexion more clarity and brightness. I use this with regular Noxzema in the blue tub and my skin has never been better, I'm oily and acne prone for reference.
At night I use a makeup remover wipe and then I use this, so I'm not just spreading my makeup and oil from the day all over my face. Then when I use toner the cotton ball is almost always clean. I think this helps your moisturizers, serums, and face masks perform better too.
A little feedback on my skin:
I suffered from "Adult" acne starting at around age 22 (I am 28 now!) I tried SOOO many different products since then and I was finally able to get it under control. Since I used so many different creams, scrubs, pills, etc. I'm not too sure as to what got my acne under control, but I want to say it was thanks to the birth control pills. However, I have been off birth control pills since like 3 years ago, and my acne didn't flare up again. One thing I did change and still do till today is how clean and germ free I keep my face (from not touching my face with dirty hands, keeping my cell phone clean, and even sleeping on a clean pillowcase). I think that's helped A LOT too. I get the occasional pimple but no big deal.
Product review:
After battling with my acne, I was left with a whole bunch of scars. I am medium/olive skin color and any scar on my skin looks 10x worse and takes FOREVER to start fading! For the past about 3 years I was searching for the one product that would get rid of my scars. I am happy to say that this product did the job and I just discovered it about 8 months ago. However, I use this product together with the Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub and it worked wonders that I even got my mother and brother hooked on it. I hardly have any signs of dark spots/scars now. I clean my face every morning and every night using the scrub with this brush. It sometimes drys my skin a bit but it's all comes under control with my moisturizer. There has been days when I feel my skin a bit more dry than normal, and I fix that by using the brush only in the morning and not at night (but I still use the scrub using my hands). Also, if I wear makeup, I remove it with a makeup remover towelette before using the scrub and brush. I also use Vitamin E oil over night EVERY night to help keep the dryness out.
I'm not a person to write reviews, cause I'm kind lazy when it comes to that lol...but I really hope this helps people out there that have the same problems I have!
