I can not say how much I hate this foundation. It's beyond awful for my skin. It has way too much shimmer and it is noticeable (some of my friends from school asked me why I had so shimmer on my face when I wore this to school).
Now, it says that this is supposed to make your face look good when you take a picture with flash. For me, when I had this foundation on and took a flash photo, the shimmers just showed up like crazy (think Edward Cullen when he's in the sunlight).
Do not buy this product. Save your money. It's not worth it.
I tried this on a whim, because I was looking for a balancing foundation. One that would keep the oil to a minimum on my t-zone, and yet not dry out my cheeks and around my eyes. PLUS it had to not settle in my fine lines, or change color by the end of the day. I had heard good things about the PhotoReady foundation, so I gave it a shot. I actually really like it! It does seem to balance my skin. I like that it looks very natural in both indoor and outdoor light. And I love that it doesn't settle in my fine lines. This a great product. I will definitely repurchase.
ONE recommendation I would make to everyone interested in trying this though ... The PhotoReady foundation colors run light. Buy one shade darker than you typically buy. I am very light, and I always buy either the lightest color or the second lightest color in any foundation line. I bought the second lightest color (002 Vanilla) in PhotoReady and it was much too light, so I went back and bought the next shade darker (003 Shell) which is the third lightest shade, and that matches nicely. For reference, I wear CoverGirl "Classic Ivory" and Bare Minerals 1.5 "Fairly Light".

Prior to this, i bought Revlon Colorstay in True Beige and I think it's too dark for my medium skin with yellow undertones. Heard many times that the best color for asian skin is Colorstay in Warm Golden, but it is not available in my country, Indonesia. I tried to buy this Revlon Photoready in Golden Beige and in love with the color. It blends perfectly in my tones. However, after 8 hours, my skin gets breaking out and I got some new acnes. Oh my! I think I will only use this for an evening party which only requires my attendance for 2-3 hours, because my skin will look cakey and oily after that. I will not repurchase at all. This product is okay but not for my super oily and acne-prone skin.

This foundation isn't half bad. I've been a mineral foundation gal for years and I recently decided to bite the bullet and try liquid foundation again, for the first time in over six years. The coverage is build able medium, it does give you that dewy glow kind of finish and it lasts pretty well when topped off with a good setting powder. It will break you out though if you don't use a deep scrub daily. It won't break you out like Mac studio fix powder or anything, but you will see a small blemish or bump if you leave it on for more than 12 hours. I don't have sensitive acne prone skin... I have pretty clear combo oily/dry, so when I get a pimple it's usually if I changed a product. Overall though , for a small blemish here and there I'd say this is definitely worth a try. I apply this over a moisturizer with a stippling brush and put a lil concealer under my eyes and top with some powder... And voila. The shade natural beige is perfect for my nw25 color.
Pros: Pearlescent pigments, Airbrush look
Cons: Pale
In my opinion, Revlon's PhotoReady is the answer to Make-Up Forever's product.
I use PhotoReady to blend with Revlon's ColorStay, due to the fact that ColorStay is:
1. Too matte alone for my liking
2. Too warm in the yellow-golden undertone - the pearlescent pigment and pale color in PhotoReady blend with ColorStay to make a good product PERFECT.
The pearlescent pigment in PhotoReady contributes a dewy youthful glow to the skin, similar to the glow of youth very young girls skin has. Awesome. However, this gossamer glow is also it's downfall. Used alone, PhotoReady is also VERY PALE. It is not conductive at all to a realistic, natural color, unless you are naturally pale, and devoid of golden tones in your natural skin and related undertone. The product serves it's best purpose as a lightning agent for a foundation that may be a tad too deep.
BOTTOM LINE: PhotoReady and ColorStay are a winning combo - perfection.

I am a bit of a foundation snob, I have only ever used Bare Minerals and Purr Minerals. But one day i saw this foundation and thought why not? I got it and I LOVE IT!!! I forget that I am even wearing this foundation, it is so lightweight and there is no oil or odd smell. One thing I will say about it is I after I apply it, I set it with a translucent powder. One thing I wish this foundation would fix is there is a bit of a sheen to the formula, and while I like it a bit because it does give you a dewy glow it is a bit much for me so with the powder I can take some of that sheen out and also set the foundation for a more lasting wear. I will most definately be keeping this foundation for my collection from here on. And I have recommended it to all my friends. I have gotten more compliments with this foundation then I have gotten with my $25-30 foundations!
Don't like it at all. It makes my skin look dry and cakey and I have oily skin. They also haven't got much shades aswel. Wouldn't buy if u have oily and combination skin.

Great value!
I think at the moment this might be the only drug store foundation I would like to purchase again. I have just finished a bottle of it since last Xmas and absolutely loved it. I've recently just purchased a NARS sheer glow foundation for exactly twice the price but it's not that much better than the Photoready and I think I might get another bottle of Photoready with a darker shade just to mix it up a bit for summer!
Ok, now speaking of the foundation itself! Firstly, the texture of the foundation itself is not very thick considering it's got medium to full coverage....vey buildable and goes on the skin nicely...doesn't feel cakey or anything like that...i found more people prefer the colorstay but i honestly don't get it...i guess it's just because i prefer a dewy finish? There are some sparkles in the foundation which many people complained about but again i don't have a problem with that...it's not really noticable once it goes on your skin and it actually leaves a sexy glow to the skin which i really like.
It comes with a pump which makes it a lot easier to use. Usually i use one pump and that covers my entire face, that just goes to show you how blendable it is.
Some people have problems with the SPF as it might make your face look whiter in a flash but for a daily use, i don't see that a problem either.
Again, i love this foundation and would definitely purchase it again!
Packaging: I LOVE the pump! So much easier to dispense what you need and how much. Especially since you dont need a lot to get a nice coverage.
Pricing: I purchased mine at CVS since you can use manufacturers coupons, extra care bucks, cvs coupons, etc, so i rarely pay full price. But even at my local CVS full price means dropping around $10.
Texture/smell: Very smooth to the touch. Not too heavy or thick but not runny. Does not have any kind of strong smell, which i love, because I do have allergies and asthma, and some makeup products do irritate me.
Performance: This is absolutely one of my favourite drugstore foundations, and I swear I have tried every one on the market. My skin is excessively oily, and at my job, I am often on my feet or on the go, working up a sweat. This stuff stays on during a grueling 10-14 hour day. I do find that I have to touch up here and there from some oilyness but not nearly as much as I do with other foundations. I have some acne scars and rosacea, and I find with a sponge, stipple brush, or foundation brush, i get an amazing coverage with very little product. I was also able to find a colour that was great for my skin tone--they had a nice array of colours...around 12 or so.
Overall: I love this product. I have repurchased and I will continue to do so. Its a great price, a great product. It give off a nice finish, not too matte that it looks cakey, and not overly dewy.

After watching my favorite beauty guru rave about I had to try it. I got an amazing deal on this and couldn't pass it up. I have dry, sensitive skin and this works really well for me. I am in the shade 006 Natural Beige and it matches me almost perfectly! I love that it is so easily blend-able and it feels so lightweight. The coverage is definitely medium but build able although I only use one layer with some translucent setting powder on top. I also love that if I accidentally touch my face throughout the day it won't rub all over my hand resulting in it getting on my notebooks and textbooks : (( (which used to happen with my old foundation-neutrogena healthy skin liquid makeup) The sparkles that everyone mentions are hardly noticeable at all to me unless you're like right on top of the mirror but a little powder on top helps fix that. I love the pump because it is so much more hygienic and sanitary and it pumps out very nicely (not too much). Overall, I would highly recommend this product and will definitely repurchase in the future!
