YUCK YUCK YUCK! Will never purchase this again, or anything creamy from a cheaper brand. This stuff felt like it was eating away at my face and made me absolutely GREASY and OILY. Words can not describe how gross this made my face felt. Honestly spare yourself and fork out the money for a higher end creme product because this will just dissapoint. Save yourself the $12 and treat yourself to something worth it, not this!

Greasy and gross, despite the nice color match

Wanted to like this too, the color isn't bad for me. I'm very pale with a slight warm undertone, quite often the pale shades are too pinky for me. The color on this was fine. But it never EVER seemed to dry or set. It just stays greasy and slides around (and off on your fingers, clothes, hair, etc. Ew.) I tried setting it with many different kinds of powder, both low and high end and no dice. It's a shame because the color is nice, the price isn't bad and the compact is cute. But I had to return it- I can't wear it anywhere, it just slides off my face.

It's strange because I have dry to combination skin, and this is an oil-free formula.

As others have said, it looks NASTY in daylight too. Like ultra-greasy heavy stage makeup. I returned it.

I bought this over the weekend to try since Sephora is out of my HG foundation (Sephora brand, so I'm out of luck!). I bought the warm porcelain shade and it looked terrible, like white makeup. I took it back and got a shade darker (warm light ivory). The color matched better, but it wasn't a perfect match by any means.

I tried it yesterday for work and it had rubbed off my chin by lunch time. Strangely enough, I also had an allergic reaction to it - I was sneezing the whole time I had it on and had to rinse it off as soon as I got home, which made the sneezing stop.
It wasn't worth it to me. I'll be happily returning it to get my $12 back. I need my makeup to last and they don't have enough color availability for this product to call it "true match" anyway. The Cover Girl Aquasmooth compact foundation is far superior in quality and length of wear (although they don't have a color that matches me, either) plus it's cheaper!

I started using this foundation in colors W3 and W4 (still can't make up my mind which one is closer to my skin tone). One of the few foundations, high and low end, that comes very close to matching my skin. I really love the creme foundations...one just needs to know how to apply it. I use a damp sponge and dab it on, building extra coverage as needed. I have been using the Benefit Foundation Faker, which is great, but it gets used up very fast because it is sheer, and, at $28 a compact that will get used up in less than 2 months, that gets pricey. These L'Oreal compacts are heavier coverage, but I can sheer it out as needed. I'm going to keep the rating at 4 until I've used it longer (for bad reactions or oxidation possibilities). So far, so good, a great compact foundation.
Edit 6/1/10: I've switched over the the liquid version of this foundation (separate review will come), as the compact foundation seems to have a drier finish, and I wanted a dewy finish. Patches of dry skin started to show through as I went through a bad phase in my skin during the winter. Also, it seems I have to mix just a tiny bit of W4 to the W3 to get a near perfect match, so, using the liquid is easier. This is still a decent compact foundation, but, for ease of use, I will stick with the liquid. I will be taking away a single lippie because of it's difficulty in mixing.

Love the tru match products bc they virtually disappear into your skin. Perfect match, not too heavy and doesnt settle where it shouldn't:)

I am not one to go to grocery stores or walmart to get my foundation/powders, but I decided on a whim to try this (i usually wear Prescriptives flawless powder in YO/Gold 07- but $35 a pop was wearing on my wallet). I went to my local CVS and saw the commericals and the ads in the fashion mags about L'Oreal true mtch and how it mtches 97% of skin tones, so i figured, 'why not'. They had a card where you can see what your true match is by placing the card an inch from the inside of your wrist and the the color that 'disappears' into your skin is your perfect match. Mine happened to be N4 (buff beige). I purchased it - but thought to myself $13.99 + tax is a bit steep for makeup not in a department store so it better be good. I was eager to try it out, and although it's NOT prescriptives, it gives good coverage and the color is right on the money. I did notice you really have to layer on your moisturizer -especially if you have dry, winter skin like mine- so the little dry patches around my nose and chin is not noticable. I've been wearing this for about 3 weeks now and I can't complain. I have super uber sensitive, reactive skin and it doesn't seem to bother my skin at all. My only complaint is it IS very creamy and doesn't 'set' in your skin so i find it rubs off easily onto everything. I purchased the mineral powder today in buff beige and decided to try it on as a setting powder-- MUCH BETTER. I will be repurchasing this but I will always go back to my Prescriptives as my favorite dept store makeup.

When I first used it I thought I was in love. But my god I was horribly mistaken ! At first it makes your skin look flawless , satiny , poreless , and very clear ! but theen , after a little bit , it looks cakey , DIRTY and nasty . If your outside it just looks like a disaster , oh my god its just gross , its like worse than flourecent lighting ! Worst 12 bucks of my life . Im olive skin toned , and the one that was the closest to my skin tone went on right and then turned dark ! By the end of the day I looked like an oil slick ):
Just do yourself a favor and dont waste your $$ .

This is better then the liquid L'Oreal True math in a bottle! I wanted to find something that blended well and that was easy to apply in the morning before my gym workouts. I apply Nivea cream and then this plus a little concealer under the eye and head to the gym. It stay's on decently even though I profusely sweat during my 60-90min workouts. I love how this matches my slightly olive complextion and is very blendable.

man i was really hoping id like the true match line but i really didn't. First of all i thought this was a powder not a cream.and the cream feels way more greasy than the liquid one dose. and i try different shades in this too and there all pretty much white. laaaammmmee
