To be fair, I bought this in the wrong color so the review I'm doing is based on a color that is just a bit too dark for my complection. I love the consistancy of this product. It can be easily applied with fingers, brushes, or sponges. I opted for a sponge. I used this over a primer and love the way it went on. The coverage is medium, next time I'll either add a drop or two of concealer to this or use a lighter based primer. I would like to try this product in the right shade now to see how it looks. Overall I like this foundation and the price point is appropriate.
I think this is an okay foundation. It gives light- medium coverage, stays on around 4 hours( you have to touch up!), but I do get oily during the day through the foundation.
It's pretty cheap though, and it comes with a pump which is useful.
The foundation is a bit on the yellow/orange side, but I even it out with a skin matching powder.
EDIT- I wouldn't repurchase it because my HG foundation is the Revlon Colorstay. Doesn't mean that the maybelline isn't good, but that revlon is just better.
Previous I had tried this in the summer and returned it, feeling it to be too oily-feeling. Now in the midst of winter and after a bout of eczema, it suits me just fine. Very smooth, natural-looking light-to-medium coverage in a shade (Nude) complementary to my light yellow-toned Asian skin. Until it's summer again, my HG foundation!
when i wear this foundation, my skin looks absolutely flawless and beautiful, althoyugh my skin does break out but its great for very big events and will def makes you lokk 100 times better then you would without it. Makes everyone compliment your skin :) enjoy
I have olive skin and it is sensitive. Lately it has been very dry sometimes itchy. When I apply this foundation it looks amazing, but in few hours my sking is shiny and oily. It also makes me break out and my eyes sting.
I have combo skin so dry around nose and a little oily on T zone. I don't usually get pimples either.
It is definitely a light to medium coverage foundation and buildable. One layer and it evens out skin. Dabbing a little more on small acne scars will cover it.
The finish is natural and looks airbrushed in my opinion.
The lasting power is alright; since its winter it lasts about 6hrs when I'm at college but I bet it will start looking shiney/oily quicker when summer comes around. I don't use setting powder or primer so I'm sure this foundation will last longer than what I'm saying.
Does not oxidize into a different color on your face which is great!
foundation looks natural and airbrushed.
Covers imperfections fairly well.
Lasts about 6hrs in winter.
Does not oxidize.
Does not break me out.
This is a great foundation with a dewy, natural finish and I will keep repurchase them as needed!!
I love this foundation and I have bought 4 so far!
(And I will buy more when needed.)
I will admit I'm a little obsessed... And it is pretty expensive, but foundation is one of those things I'll spend extra money on.
I really like how much coverage the product gives, but over all this is a really bad product. The foundation makes my skin extremely oily and makes me break out really bad with tiny pimples all over my face. DEFINITELY would NOT recommend this foundation to anyone, unless you want a face full of grease and acne.
This foundation goes on smooth it's easy to blend has good coverage and makes skin look perfect BUT it's definitely better suited for people with normal to dry skin therefore not a good choice for oily skin girls like me lol *sigh* and my search for the perfect foundation continues...
