This is my current mascara. I am A COMPLETE MASCARA JUNKIE. I have long, but BLONDE, sparse lashes. So I'm never looking for length, just volume and darkness. This is hard to do without clumping, so I'm constantly looking for the newest mascara. This one does a damn good job for the moderate price. I got the sample with the Tarte curler I bought (it was cute) and I liked the mascara so I bought the fullsize. The packaging is weird but the mascara is semi-dry, and that is what I like. It gives a lot of volume and blackness and best of all, HARDLY CLUMPS. I bought a comb at the same time as this, and it is somewhere in the bottom of my makeup bag. I haven't needed it, and that speaks volumes for me since my lashes love to clump. If I can save $12 and a trip to Neiman Marcus and head to Ulta instead, I'll try Tarte over my Chanel Inimitable Intense again.
I'm in love with this mascara! I picked it up when I was on holiday in the US not knowing much or having tried any Tarte products. I was very impressed when I first tried it - volume, definiton and separation! Finally, an all-in-one mascara! Easy to apply and no smudges or flaking. The only think I can fault is that the formula does dry out a little and a little bit of clumping does occur but nothing too bad. Will be buying this again and again!
I bought this mascara because a friend on the makeup business recommended it. I didn't like it at all. The more coats I applied, the clumpier it got (and no I didn't let it dry in between coats). I also curl my lashes before applying mascara and after applying this mascara, all of the curl came out of my lashes. It also made my lashes stick together as opposed to separating them. Wouldn't recommend. The packing is nice but I didn't really like that it had seams on the side instead of a smooth regular tube so it wasn't as easy to hold. Not a big deal if the mascara would've worked well, though.
This is my absolute favorite mascara. I stumbled upon it in a Tarte sampler and was extremely impressed. As soon as the sample ran out I went to Ulta to buy the real deal, almost didn't when I saw the price, then figured it was worth it. So glad I did! I have really long lashes and this product does an amazing job of accentuating the length while adding volume. There is no clumping, no flaking, it doesn't smear or smudge. When my last tube ran out, Ulta happened to be out of stock. I purchased a Lancome mascara instead (even more expensive than Tarte) and it made me realize how great the Tarte product is. Because the Lancome was so pricey I felt the need to use it all, but once it was gone I was back to Lights, Camera, Lashes. It really is fantastic.
I got this from Sephora as part of Tarte's "The Standouts" set. It is true what others have written, that is is hard to hold a curl with this mascara but I find that with a lash primer, it can. I love this mascara for work because it gives a very natural look and it does not transfer to the area under my eyes (no thanks to oily lids). That in itself is a big plus for me because I've ended up looking like a racoon with many other mascaras! I find that it does lengthen and volumize my lashes but not in a very obvious manner. If you want a false lash effect, this mscara is not for you.
I received the sample size from Sephora and it didn't do very much for my lashes. The look is very natural with minimal definition and a little length. Nothing special. Perhaps the full size is a lot better, but I'm not going to fork over the $19 USD to find out.
I received a sample of this mascara from Sephora, and I have to say, I'm really glad I didn't buy it. I have naturally very long lashes that are almost white blonde, so what I need from mascara is something that will make my lashes black and just a teensy bit fuller. That's it. I'm not lookin' for a miracle. This mascara did neither of those things. It did practically nothing. All I could think after I applied it was "boring". It also flakes really badly. I was picking black flakes off my face the next morning, even after removing my eye makeup with oil and a cleanser. Never had that happen before.
I've been using Full 'n Soft for several years, and I still think it is a good mascara. However, I feel like my lashes have been more dry and brittle, and Full 'n Soft is not giving me the length I've had with other mascaras. I like Lights, Camera, Lashes so far. Its still a new tube, so it is a bit liquidy and clumpy (which I find normally happens with new mascara). I like the length it gives me and the fullness is about the same as with Full 'n Soft. I wouldn't call my HG mascara, but I like it.
After using phycisians formula organic wear for 2 years I tried this mascara and love it. The Tarte mascara makes my lashes so lush with out flaking or uncurling like the organic wear did. This mascara really is worth the price especially if you want the look of falsies without having to wear them. Also this mascara has not irritated my eyes or skin like some do. I highly recommend this if you can afford it.
Update: This has made my lashes grow longer and they do not fall out when removing mascara. Wish the price would come down. Love it.
I got this sample with the reward points I received in Sephora. It's not bad at all, but nothing worth going crazy over. Does exactly what Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash does. I'll have to research prices see which one is cheaper. But for now, I'll keep the sample as an extra for any days I run out of mascara or leave it at a friend's house.
