to be honest this is the only gel eyeliner I have ever used.. and since I have no problem with it what so ever.. am going to continue using it.. very black..smoothly apply.. long lasting.. and I have had it for a year now and it's still amazing!
So far (which is at least 4 months since I don't remember exactly when I bought this last year), I quite like this. After using all of my first Mac Fluidline, delved into the drugstore gel liners which left me feeling unsatisfied, I went back to Sephora to try this. Got the black shade. I use it mainly for winged eyeliner. It's very creamy and thus far hasn't dried out on me yet. Indeed a saturated black shade upon application. Doesn't tug on my lids. It does dry a bitttt too fast for my liking when I make mistakes. It can and does fade a bit on long days, which is why it gets 4 stars. Still like it, most likely will repurchase.
i bought this product because stila's smudge pot was out of stock at sephora and a beauty consultant talked me into this. this does not compare to the stila smudge pot - not even close. it dried out pretty quick and it doesn't it dries too quickly on the lid - not giving you enough time to blend into a shadow for a quick smokey effect.
i'm going back to my stila smudge pot for sure.
I was originally using the Mac one however got this one at Duty Free... it's honestly the best eyeliner i've used! The Mac gel eyeliner dried up within 3 months!! the bobbi brown one is still going after 18 months and I use it everyday
dude...this smudges really badly on my monolids. It didn't smudge that much at first, but for some reason, now that I've had it for a while..it gives me SERIOUS raccoon eyes. NOT. OKAY. Especially for a tiny pot. Packaging is alright, but prefer other liners for sure!! This really turned me off from gel eyeliners, which I've been using for like 5 years now..
I prefer MAC fluidlines to this product. This was the first potted gel liner I tried, and even before I tried the fluidlines I was unimpressed with this. This smudges to my brow bone within hours of application, and also seeps down into my tear duct and just looks pretty gross. It ocassionally flakes as well, though I do not think that is its main issue. The staying power just does not rival that of my liquid liners, but the fluidlines do, they are cheaper and creamier -- All in all, a much better product than this, in my opinion.
This was my everyday eyeliner until I discovered MAC Fluidline. This definitely has longer staying power than Fluidline but it's also drier and takes more practice to get a straight line. The texture is not as creamy as Fluidline. It's very hard to get off..I've had to use eye makeup removers specifically to remove this eyeliner whereas with Fluidline I can just use a regular cleanser to get it off. I wouldn't recommend this to gel eyeliner beginners.
-creamy, lovely texture
-easy to apply with liner brush
-long wear doesn't crease ( I have oil/combination skin and I didn't need to use primer )
-LAST FOR EVER, it's been two years and I'm still using it
-DRIES OUT pretty fast for me, like 1month but there's a solution
-this was pretty pricey for me around $40-ish :L worth the price since it last me for a long time, I still have heaps left
Just add little drop of baby oil (any oil is fine but baby oil is more gentle and suitable for skin) and bam! the oil does the magic then just the liner it perfect to use :)
Hope this helps, enjoy
I have very small eyelids that occasionally get bigger when I'm extremely tired. This product works very well! It's easy to shape without smudging, but these days...I've been finding that my eyeliner has been feathering out by the end of the day so that it looks like i have raccoon eyes. I hope I'm just wearing it wrong, because I really do like the product..
Sadly, I have to disagree with most people on this product. I have monolids (no crease in my eyelids) and I am always on the look out for some monolid friendly products. This product was always recommended online and by friends but after trying this for months, I have to say I hate it. It smudges, flakes, and just does not cooperate with me at all. I have used it with primer, set it with shadow, let it dry for a long time without blinking, etc. and I am sad to say that it really doesn't work for me. I always end up with flakes on my cheeks or unattractive smudges at the corners of my eyes. I'm glad this product works for so many people, but I would caution fellow monolidders against this product. I got this for about $22 at Nordstrom's or Macy's.
