this is a light tan/champagne shade which i thought was blah in the pot but when i wear it on my lids it really brightens up my eyes and my whole face. i can wear just this shadow with mascara and it gives a sort of innocent, ethereal look. sort of nice... in any case, i see myself buying more when i run out.
Grain is a gorgeous shade that I was lucky enough to receive in a swap. On my NC 15 complexion (dark brown eyes) grain is a perfect lid and highlighter color. It is a light champagne color with just a hint of peach. Gorgeous! :-)
This colour is great for a base. very neutral and a little peachy on me. All time classic.
This color looks similar to the peachy color of Orb on my eyes, but with a bit of shimmer to it. This is a great color from the satin collection. It really brightens up my eyes.
i like this color a lot as a base. for me it works with almost any color, and it gives my eyelid just a hint of color.
Grain is a great shade to use as a base to open up your eyes. It also looks cute as a highlighter over a nude base. I've only tried it with Cork so far in the crease but I think I'll look up the other colors as well based on your reviews. The one thing I LOVE about MAC eye shadows is how I NEVER have to retouch during the day because they stay put. (-:
I can't believe this shadow hasn't been a bigger hit! It's one of my favorites. It makes a great wash/lid color, especially paired with Arena or Soba in the crease. I like Grain because it has a slight natural peachy cast, so it brightens up the eye area instead of looking too pale and washed out. I will definitely repurchase this one! *Update 12/17* This is now one of my official staple shades! I've been wearing it every day for a long time now, usually with just a bit of brown eyeliner and highlight under my brow. I love it!
I bought this shadow for my "natural" look. It was 12.50USD. It's a really nice beigey/champagney color in the satin collection, meaning it has a slight bit of shine to it. Def. a nice natural color.
