I bought this at the CCO about six months ago, and it's just lovely. I still have my old Pot Rouge in Blushed Rose, and it's still soft and usable (and barely dented because there is SO much product) but I've dropped it a few times and the top has chipped so much that it might be at the end of its lifespan.
Anyway - Pale Pink is clearly a new and sheerer formulation, but it's much easier to apply and wear. I don't bother using it on my lips because it's too pale to do much good there.
Pale Pink gives me a lovely "doll face" look, especially if I limit application to the apples of my cheeks. It sounds like it would look weird, but I've seen myself in store windows/mirrors in the winter with this application and it looks great on me.
I like cream blushes in general, but especially for winter because my skin is dry. In fact, I often use lipstick for the purpose! I don't think this blush lasts forever (maybe 6 hours) but it's compact enough to travel with you.
This was my first cream-based rouge. Prior to this, I'd only worn dusty pink powder based blush, so understandably, I was quite anxious about using a brighter shade of pink. However, once applied, it has the prettiest pink hue, adding a girlish vibrancy to your face. I rarely use the stuff on my lips, but when I do, it's only when I'm wearing little to no visible make-up.
Got this at an outlet, great bargain!
As a lip stain, the color is amazing, natural & cool-toned light pink, doesn't dry out lips.
As a blush, it's less pink but healthy and long-lasting.
I think they have a new version with mirror, but lot less volume.
A staple for me. continued >>
Beautiful, fresh, natural-looking blush. I have naturally cool-toned (pink undertone) skin, and this pale pink (which is actually a bright pink) blush really compliments my natural coloring, and adds a bit of freshness, and makes me look a bit healthier (haha!), especially when I am wearing foundation that cancels out my natural rosiness. Love this blush, and the cream formula makes the finish look more natural than powder. Will always repurchase this blush.
I really like this product. This is my second lip and cheek product and it really great. before this I tried make up for ever aqua cream for lip and cheek and it's kinda dry. But this product is awesome. It doesn't dry your lips and the texture is really creamy but doesn't leave your face oily. The color also really beautiful and natural that you can build up the color. I try the new packaging that comes with the mirror, so you don't need another mirror to wear this. And I bought this online when there is a promo from bobbi brown online, so I got this when it was discounted for 20%.
The new packagin comes with a hinged lid and a mirror, which is nice. The color is beautiful and a nice color even for more yellowish colored skins like mine. Application is best with a brush and a light hand, you don't need a lot of product and even though the color looks very intense in the pot, it's actually quite natural looking . It doesn't look too good applied with my fingers and the staying power is pretty bad actually. Also it's difficult to apply it on your lips unles your lips are very moisturized. It's a nice product but I tend to not use it often, because the staying power is not very good.
I really do love the BB Pot Rouges. Since I suffer quite badly from dry cheeks I really wanted a creamy product that would add a subtle sheen to my skin rather than leaving a powdery residue. I was initially a bit sceptical about the Pale Pink colour - I'm an NC20-25 half-Asian lass, and bright cool pink was the opposite of what I would normally choose. However, when the MU applied this, it absolutely brightened up my complexion and make me look fresh and radiant. It is a rich, creamy texture that is very easily to blend without scraping off the rest of your foundation. I personally apply using a brush (I get too much streaking and blotching with fingers with all of my products - plus I like to avoid getting any oils from my hands on my face as I am very break-out prone), but I guess most people would just dab on and blend with their hands to get a good result. I would say that this is very highly-pigmented, so a gentle hand is needed (particularly with such a bold colour) - but since a little goes a very long way, this should last for ages. I personally do not use this on my lips; it just does not last at all on me and I get horrible tidemarks.
Many people wont like the glass jar; personally I don't have an issue with this for blushes, and I think its pretty cute. A good product that has found its way into my daily kit - can't wait to try some of the other shades!
Nice cool and true pink colour. Looks good on my light skintone and cool complexion. I bought it for € 25,- at Douglas in Aachen. This pot rouge is very pigmented, so it should last very long. I wish it had a little bit more staying power though. If used on the lips be sure to wear some lipbalm underneath.
I love this product. I'm a blush junkie, so I've tried a lot out there, both high and low end. If you are looking for a flushed, just-came-in-from-a-snowy-walk kind of look, try this. Since it's a cream, what I do is apply my foundation, and then apply the blush with my fingers, and then a translucent power over top, sometimes adding MAC's 'Dame' to set the blush, but it really doesn't need to be set. I just feel like putting on power after I apply the blush makes it look even more natural, like I'm "naturally flushed." I actually haven't tried it on my lips, although I saw a video where Bobbi Brown put it on a model's lips and it looked very gorgeous, almost stain-like. Ladies...pick this one up!
I love the packaging, although I love most bobbi brown packaging so that's not really reserved for this product. I am a sucker for good packaging and i think it is important. The product itself is good. I sometimes find it a little hard to spread, kind of powdery and thick but not in a major way. The pigmentation is great and the staying power is also good. what more could a girl ask for? ;). The only problem I have is with the colour itself and possibly the price depending on where you live. I originally wanted the calypso coral as it was AMAZING when I swatched it but they were all out at the Singapore airport, so I got this one instead. It is definitely a pale earthy pink and in no way bright. I really wanted a vibrant baby pink but this is not it. I guess that can be expected from bb they tend to lean more on the natural and can't really be held as a flaw but it wouldn't hurt if this popped a bit more. One flaw I do have is that it is really expensive here in Australia, but then again what isn't ? hehe I get most of my stuff either online or when travelling in order to keep costs down. So if you live in Australia I suggest shopping around online, otherwise if you are a lucky American just buy it; it is a good product and you probably wont regret it.
