Very impressed with this foundation. I have oily skin, especially in the summer, and normally I don't even bother wearing foundation because in half an hour I've sweated it all off. This stuff stayed put all day. I'm an NC42, and Golden Tan was a perfect match. I didn't use any primer or moisturizer under this, and it performed perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was how fast it set. You have to work fast to blend it because it doesn't budge once it's on. Later as I was outside, blotting perspiration off my forehead, it was amazing to see NO makeup on the tissue. I got this at CVS for $11.99, and I'm so happy I don't have to return it, like I do with most foundations I try. I will stock up when it goes on sale.

I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!!! I don't usually do reviews, but have been searching for a foundation for my oily oily skin forever, and this is it!! It isn't cakey like most longwear matte makeups. Very buildable..I put it on with a sigma flat brush & it blends great! Great foundation to try if you are oily! Btw, if you go to the covergirl website & upload a pic, it will let you try on different shades to see which fits. I did this before buying & bought the perfect shade! (I am in a soft honey & have blonde hair & medium skintones)

I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION!! It lasts forever! Great for school! I put my makeup on at 5am and i get home around 2:30ish. And its perfect! I use it with my beauty blender but i find even with my fingers it works pretty well! The only con is that it can oxidize SLIGHTLY. I dont find it a major problem with me? Just use a lighter powder you'll be fine & no need for a primer because it already has one!!!

I had high hopes for this foundation and sadly was disappointed. I tried wearing it multiple times but its just not for me.I feel like it just lays on my skin and doesn't blend on me at all. I feel like there is just film on my skin. May work for some others but just not for me.

This is my first impression after using this once. I'll update when I've worn it for a few days, especially in case it makes me break out and stuff.

First impression--I really like it! Here's why:
I stood in my drugstore (well, grocery store that I happened to be in and thought to pick this up) deliberating about my shade choice for literally twenty minutes because they only had one sample available (buff beige I believe) which was way too dark. However, ivory is always too pink for me. Also, I tried looking up swatches online but got slightly confused because the shade numbers were different...not sure why they'd assign Canada different shade numbers. Long story short, I eventually picked up the 910 shade (classic ivory I believe, number 810 in the US) and went with it. For reference, I'm Buff in Revlon Colourstay. I got it outside and tried it and was relatively pleased with the shade match on my arm (I know, I know--but I know what my good shades look like on my arm and it's easier to see quickly than my face when there aren't any mirrors around). It was a bit orange, but I figured I'd go with it as I have a way of making it lighter via a sunscreen with a whitecast and a concealer that is a great colour for me.
I got it home, blotted, and since I wasn't wearing anything other than primer I decided to just go for it with a stippling brush, and honestly, I love the finish. It is matte without being too flat. The colour is still a little more orange than I'd like, but it's not too bad, certainly not noticeable. I haven't noticed a smell, and I love the packaging--the blue pump makes it easy to identify on store shelves and the pump is great. I can do a half pump, which is great because I don't like other people telling me how much or little product to use :P
We'll see about how the lasting power is. As for breakouts, I'm not anticipating any because I'll be using a primer, and I find that as long as you wait a few minutes after putting on moisturizer to put on primer, and then a few more before putting on foundation, letting the products set helps to avert breakouts.
I'm taking off half a lippie for the lack of fair and light-skinned colour selection (as I always find with drugstore foundations, dang it!) as I fear that mid winter this won't work for me, and another half for coverage--definitely not as good as a concealer. My hyper-pigmentation still shows through like no one's business, though it shows through the colourstay as well. It's annoying, but I can deal with it.
Anyhow, so far, great product. We'll see how it goes over the next few days!

Like countless others, I had high hopes for this foundation. My skin is a complete enigma, (breakout-prone, aging, somewhat dehydrated at times, but also oily. As one can imagine, finding the right foundation can be daunting to say the least).
I quite simply had absolutely no luck with this one. From colour selection (I purchased two and blended them together, (the second and third lightest...I would have chosen the lightest but it seemed far too pink in the bottle).
Regardless of ratio, no matter how I blended the two shades (or if I decided to wear one shade at a time) the end result was oxidation within a couple of hours. The finish was extremely matte on my skin, emphasizing any stray dry spot.
The only positive I could offer for this one is coverage.
However, considering all of the other cons, I just couldn't make it work for me. Both shades were returned for a full refund.

I had high hopes for this foundation, yet sadly, it was a pretty big let down. I was hoping it would be sort of an in-between of Revlon Colorstay (a little heavy) and Colorstay Whipped (hate the packaging) but I couldn't have been more wrong. I started changing my skincare routine around the time I bought this foundation from acne-medicated products to almost 100% natural products which almost completely normalized my combination skin- as in I'm not really ever too oily or too dry in any given specific area of my face, yet this foundation mattified it WAY too much and gave it a suffocated feeling. In my opinion, this is only meant to be used for those with oily/combination skin. I gave it a fair shot and luckily it didn't break me out, but every time I had put it on I just wanted to scrape it off my face within an hour.

1 point for having a pump, another point for finding a perfect match for my skintone (the lightest one).

Well, just went I thought I would never wear foundation again and eschew my beloved Skin 79 bb cream, along comes this foundation that actually lives up to the claims (and its name!) This is a smooth, creamy liquid that applies very easily, blends seamlessly, and seems to melt right into skin while leaving a semi-matte, even finish. I have found that it wear exceptionally well, and with a bit of blotting and powder, I look just as fresh at the end of the day as when I initially applied! I also really love the pump, it keeps things sanitary. I hate those classic cover girl foundations that come in the bottles! Whoever would have thought I would fall in love with anything by cover girl? They have really stepped up their game with this one! Best of all, this will last a really long time, as you only need one pump to cover your whole face! HG for me!

This is my favorite full coverage foundation. Does not feel heavy. I like how easy it is to blend in. I still use primer and concealer though. Covers my acne scars and redness.

My skin was doing well until I bought this. Now I have painful swollen blocked pores on either side of my face. Thanks a lot cover girl.
