Well, I'm blessed with skin that seldom has pimples. That is, until I used this. I had many little bumps appearing on my face. And obviously after one month of stubborn trying, I stopped. Within a week, my skin cleared up. No way. No more hada labo for me. I'm combi skin, mid 30s, humid climate.
This is part of my current HG face routine! I tried some samples of this and was so pleased with the results that I got the whole hada labo set. I like that this seems to make my pores smaller (or at least appear smaller) and it feels very hydrating on my face. I have no acne and seldom get break outs and this made my face seem "clearer" if that makes any sense. It also makes my face more supple.
The price is great for this product, since it does what it claims and is still affordable.
When I first started using it, it took FOREVER to set into my face. But after a few months, it sets into my face much faster now. The trick is to use less (obviously) - about 3 drops is enough - and pat it into your face and keep patting until its mostly absorbed. It also helps if you put this on as soon as you can after cleansing (so your pores are still open). Love it!! Don't think I will ever stop using this brand, will definitely repurchase.
Definitely not a product I'd ever buy again.
When I used the older version, my skin would break out in pimples after applying more than 1 drop of it. The same occurred for the newer version.
Anyways, it probably will work for you as long as you don't live in places/countries with high humidity. In such places, I heard the humidity traps the moisture on your skin and so, your face can't breathe. Not sure how true this is, though! It might've more to do with my skin being ultra oily.
I love this product! It work well with my skin. It gives me dewy finish, so i dont think it's suitable for people with oily skin. but If u have dry skin, i recommend u to try this product. Repurchase of course :)
I would give this product maybe a 3.5. I bought it expecting that it would magically help my dry skin and get rid of the redness. Unfortunately it didn't but it is still a decent moisturiser.
It's a watery clear liquid and the consistency of it is a bit strange since it feels a little slimy in my opinion but that doesn't bother me too much. What I also like about it is that it is fragrance, colorant and mineral oil free, which makes it perfectly suitable for sensitive skin. It moisturises my skin leaving it look like it's naturally hydrated but unfortunately that's just not enough for my skin during winter as it will get dry again quite quickly again in the cold. However my skin does feel softer after using it.
I guess I have to try out this product again when it's warmer and when my skin is less irritated by the cold and I will update my review.
I recommend this product for those you have already good skin or only have minor dryness issues.
Pro's - not oily, just the right amount of moisture where skin doesn't feel tight but still not an oil slick, inexpensive, didnt break me out, odorless
Cons - good but not great ie doesnt perform miracles on my skin, takes a long time to dry
I only use the lotion as the milk is too heavy for my oily skin.
First of all, I just want to say that this isn't a bad product. I just dont find it to be that amazing either. It does it's job as a basic lotion and preps the skin for serum, cream etc. and has moisturising properties. I won't be buying it again as you can get nicer lotions that are even more moisturising and appropriate for my dry skin and are more economical. I do like the packaging and how it dispenses liquid and I like the consistensy. It is easy to apply and spread too. Hyaluronic acid products do work best in humid environments and I do live in a dry environment.. So it may work better depending on your location. I recommend it if you are just stepping into the world of Japanese lotions or want something basic.
A very basic toner. Does nothing else but moisturize. I've been using it for 8 months now. It does its job at moisturizing. I use it with Hada Labo moisturizing milk in the day. Just 2 drops each and I'm good to go. I have combination skin (oily T, dry cheeks). I still do have shine on my T zone at the end of the day but my cheeks stay hydrated. Will get it again if I have no other toner in mind to try.
This is not working on my combination skin. It has thick consistency and leave my skin feeling sticky and breakout. I stopped using it and the breakout got better. Then I give it a second try and the breakout come back. So I use it to moisturize my ankle and elbow instead.
My skin has been dry around the mouth and chin due to Retinol use so I've been using this and the Moisturizer during the day, and every other night alternating the Retinol. It's been keeping my skin hydrated, plump and smooth. I don't mind the patting because it works for me.
My daughter has oily/acne-prone skin and she feels this made her break out. I did notice that this took a while to absorb on her, and I'm guessing it's clogging her pores because she doesn't need as much moisturization as I do.
