This product lasts very long. It does have reddish undertones but I feel that it makes my eyebrows look special. Dark eyebrows are very in right now and this makes my eyebrows look very dark and filled in. This could be because I'm so pale though.
I bought this back in November as a bit of an impulse buy and I wish I could get my money back. The red undertones don't make this look natural on me at all, and the microscopic brushes are worthless. I can't believe this product doesn't come with a tiny brow brush. It also has terrible staying power. This is a major waste of money.
Quite a good little brow kit, includes a wax and a powder which you're meant to apply separately, although I find that a bit too time consuming so I just put wax on my brush, then powder and apply it in one.
It's a bit tricky at first but when you get the hang of it it's much better than pencils cos you don't need to sharpen it every 5 minutes and it's self setting so it stays put longer.
The only thing is it could do with having 2 colour powders because sometimes they can look a bit too block, so I end up using it for the bottom line and tail end then shading the top with eyeshadow.
It's about £23 which is pricey compared to pencils etc but it does last a lot longer, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a strong, defined brow.
*TIP don't use the brushes that come with it- they're too small and fiddley, invest in a decent angled brush, I use MAC 208 angled brow brush
Since Benefit Aestheticians sculpt eyebrows very well, I figured this product would really help achieve that polished poster girl look. I've used it on and off for about 3 years now. It's good, but not the best.
Compared to dual pencil liners this is far superior: the combination of wax + powder allows for more precision and improved color density. It is convenient that the box contains brushes, tweezers, and a mirror. It's also decently portable.
Then I tried Anastasia of Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomenade. Only then did I realize the flaws of Brow-Zing. Anastasia offers a far better variety of shades, is less expensive, and is better formulated. It's a great liquid blend, with a thick enough texture that keeps it from running. I find myself having to apply several coats of wax, and touch up the powder intermittently during the day when I use Brow-Zing. With Anastasia you need just a few swipes in the AM and your set. Also, Brow-Zing's medium powder is very red. The brushes dirty easily, and if you have thick hair the formula gets stuck so you have to stop mid way, reapply, and then continue.
I've always been a fan of dark, filled in eyebrows - to the point where I was spending £15 a week having my eyebrows tinted in the salon. It was when I was moaning about my dark eyebrow addiction to a girlfriend that she recommended this product to me. Dubious about spending £25 on something I was unfamiliar with, I decided to do so and I am so, so pleased that I did as I would genuinely never use another product on my eyebrows again! A little goes a very long way which makes it affordable, especially opposed to forever paying for them to be tinted! The colour suits me perfectly and the wax is a very thick, heavy quality which ensures your eyebrows last all day. You can use the wax alone for a very natural look if you prefer, but I choose to wax and later using the shadow multiple times to get the desired effect. I genuinely wear this product every single day and wouldn't be interested in purchasing an alternative. The packaging is neat and I love the tweezers that come with it, although the brushes are quite rubbish for every day use - mine fell apart in the end but then, I really have used this product every day! The wax runs out before the shadow does, but it's fantastic value for money and if anyone is struggling with the wax, my advice would be to begin with less and layer it up rather than pasting the wax on as it may make the shadow appear patchy. However, there is a blending brush included in the kit so this can be easily rectified using that! Brilliant product, very pleased!
please don't give into the hype. what a waste of money. the powder isn't pigmented enough. the wax does not go on smoothly, but just brushes my brows into a clumped oily mess. it's terrible...honestly a brown matte eyeshadow will do much much much better, as you can buy any shade that will match your skin tone and hair colour perfectly - benefit only has three colours?!
the powder is too light and the wax doesn't stick to where my hair doesn't grow (but needs to be filled in...that's the main reason I buy a brow product duh!!)
I am an eyebrow fanatic, and spend ages on my brows everyday. its the only makeup I HAVE to wear, and this product does NOT cut it. even the formula feels cheap.
This is one of those make up products that just kind of works its way into your life. At first I turned my nose up at the thought of spending so much money on something you can achieve with brown eyeliner and a smidge of vaseline- but now I can safely say it has been a daily essential for me for over three years! I'm still on my first palette, I lost the little tweezers a while ago (boo) and I still have a lot left. The wax is great, very natural looking, and not greasy (unlike the vaseline). No dark clumps and it keeps the hairs in place all day. The powder is a little dark for my skin but I like using it when I want thick, vampy eyebrows. The packaging is very neat and the brushes have lasted a long time. It is the one item in my make up bag my friends always ask to borrow!
This is my staple brow product. I'm lucky not to have overplucked my brows in my teenage years. Now that I'm in my 30's I still have rather full brows.
I use the wax daily for a more natural look.
I do have a little sparce hair on one of my brow, and on special occasions I use both the wax and powder to give myself a little more oomph to the brows.
I don't use the enclosed tweezers, but I do use the brushes when I travel (to save on what I need to pack)
I have dark ash blonde hair, and with medium works great on my brows.
This product is a staple in my make up bag! My eyebrows are my faces main feature, so I spend a lot of time on them, and it always leaves mine looking great!
I find this product is great when my eyebrows are tame and have been threaded and shaped, however sometimes if I let them get a bit out of control it can be harder to apply! Nevertheless it's a simple product, that can really change the way your eyebrows look! It also lasts all day and doesn't smudge, which I find some other eyebrow products do. The packaging is great, very small and can fit easily in my ever growing make up bag. I've had 2 of these palettes in 3 years and I use it daily, so it really does go a long way, making the price incredibly reasonable.
My only problem with this product, which I've seen on quite a few other reviews, is the red undertones in the powder, which occasionally makes my eyebrows look reddish under strong light.
Other than that this product is incredible and will always have a place in my make up bag.
Lately, I decided to buy the Benefit Brow Zings in Medium for $32. The wax is really good, but the powder has red undertones that make my eyebrows look more reddish rather than medium brown; giving an off look to my brows. I ended up using the wax and another brown powder. I expected a lot more, especially since there is the E.L.F Brow Kit for $3. If looking for the more natural looking brows with a clean finish, I recommend Anastasia brow products and Elf brow kit for the inexpensive option.
