I really wanted to love this (good reviews! light and neutral enough for me! nice texture! luminous finish!) and I do, but I had to work at it.I bought it to use for setting. The first time I tried it I found that it migrated very quickly into my pores and undereye lines, and although from a distance it looked like my foundation was more even than usual for longer than usual, closeup it was a patchy pore-speckled mess. Then I tried the Wayne Goss method of powder under foundation. That went badly. We won't speak of it.I finally cracked it by the unconventional-for-me step of putting my moisturizer on OVER my sunscreen (My thinking was always that my sunscreen is thick and greasy so a. why would I need an additional moisturizer and b. wouldn't that just make a terrible slick mess? Wrong on both counts, apparently). Then Skin Food Peach Sake Serum as a primer, and my foundation. Finally, I applied the Sephora powder by gently patting (not brushing) it on with a fluffy powder brush, and using my damp Beauty Blender to roll-and-press it in. After contour and blush I use a fine spray of rosewater to set. Results, everything I hoped for: pores minimized, some added moderate coverage, glowy natural finish. For how long the compact will last at this rate, it's no steal but I think the price is okay. My only real criticism is the packaging, which is inconvenient because it has to be held/steadied with one hand due to a lid that doesn't open 180*.

I bought this about two years ago because I wanted to compare it to Mac MSF. It's not quite an exact dupe, but it comes pretty close. When placed over BB Cream, it gives my skin a flawless look (I don't need much coverage because my skin is pretty even and clear). It lasts all day but it smells a little gross.

I love the idea of MAC MSF and bought it many years ago. However, it broke me out. I've been hearing buzz lately that this is a dupe for it so I had to check it out. I was happy to find out this doesn't contain potential irritating ingredients like bismuth. The more I use it, the more I'm really starting to love it. This is marketed as a foundation however I think it's too sheer for a primary foundation. If you apply this with a cosmetic sponge, it will build to medium coverage though. I like using a big powder brush and using this as my setting powder. It does have that slight glowing blur finish that MAC MSF gives but I honestly wouldn't say it is an exact dupe though but they are very similar. Shades: All shades in the medium to tan category run very warm and almost orange. I wish there was a neutral shade in the mix. Shade #25 Beige was too light so I got #30 Sand. #30 Sand is a nice match but not perfect. #35 Bronze (the next darker shade after Sand) is straight up orange on me. For reference, I'm NC40 in MAC. Sephora has eight shades all together. Formula: This is a baked powder and very smooth to the touch. It comes in a traditional domed baked format. It is soft and finely milled so a lot of product kicks up when you swirl your brush in it. Smell: Yes, this must be mentioned. The best way to describe the scent is fish farts. If a fish could fart, this is exactly what it would smell like. Man, I don't know but I'm very put off by the scent of this. Thank Cod the scent doesn't linger or else I would have to treat this like trout and throw it out!Reactions: None so yes, I will be repurchasing this. Price: $22.

this is okay. i'm not sure why it's listed as a powder foundation, i feel like i have to put a good amount on to get medium coverage..i do like the finish of it though. it doesn't look over powdery/cakey.staying power is not that long though.

I use Sephora MicroSmooth Baked Foundation Face Powder with some under eye concealer as my everyday foundation routine. I don t wear heavy foundation, or even liquid foundation often because that make me breakout. I must have a sensitive skin. For a mineral powder, this product has quite a heavy coverage (perfect to even out skin tone and cover minimal spots). The staying power is not optimal, it fade during the day and I ve to reapply it at the end of the afternoon if I want to be made up for the evening. The texture is not as thin and mild as a loose powder so I don t use it to set my concealer (too heavy).Color range : I use 40 tan and I love to golden color. It s really natural on my skin, not as yellow/orange as the NC range in Mac or pink/red as the NW range. The colors are more natural and there is a little bit of shimmer in it (nothing strong, still natural). For reference, I m a nc 43,5 in Mac Studio fluid or 6 in Matchmaster & Face & Body or even Syracuse in Nars Sheer Glow (the most perfect shade for me). Ten 40 is maybe a tad bit darker than those shade, so it warms up the face a little bit. I ve also bought 35 Bronze for the winter but I ve not yet used it.Compared to MSF, I really like the finish of it for the first hours, but at the end of the end, I ll be oily on my T-zone. Also, the coverage is a bit sheerer than the Sephora. I used the it in Med Deep, which is a bit too pink for me. I think the Med Dark could me more neutral and natural on me. Also, this one is more expansive the Sephora (17 Euro vs 28 Euro in Europe). So my choice is made, Sephora is a perfect dupe of MSF, cheaper, color range is more natural and the staying power is better.

I like this powder as a setting powder much more than a standalone foundation. I owned one for months and just felt it was too sheer for any real coverage. However recently I used it as a setting powder instead and it works beautifully. The powder is really fine and slightly reflective so it works great esp under the eye. Would have wished it had a metal pan though, because now i want to put it in my makeup kit but without the pan i cant put it in a z palette and have to carry each individual shade.

Part of my new everyday routine! I decided to get this instead of the MAC MSF because I read that the bismuth in it breaks some people out.I use it to set my undereye concealer and as a foundation. I've yet to try it as a setting powder over top foundation because it works amazingly alone. Covers my redness completely; provides a sheer-medium coverage. (I use an ecotools kabuki brush.) Looks flawless, very natural (satin?) finish, which is what it claims. The powder itself is very soft and blends very easily. Try just applying on half your face first and see the difference haha!I wear a MUFE #117 (NC15/20) and I bought #15 nude.

This is my go-to powder! I used to use the MAC mineral powder but switched to this one and haven't turned back since. The powder feels light and gives good coverage - whether I just want a natural look or if I'm needing to cover-up some blemished, this powder does the trick. The price is affordable too, especially compared to the other powders at Sephora. The only "complaint" I really have is the fact that it doesn't come with a mirror... But I go through a few of these a year so maybe it would be a bit of a waste anyways.

I saw this a little while ago while browsing in Sephora and decided to give it a try, as I was running out of my other powder (I've used Sephora's Mattifying Powder Foundation FOR YEARS). I have to say that I love this powder. It feels lighter, and looks smoother on my skin than the mattifying powder foundation. I would sometimes feel like the mattifying powder made my skin look "dusty". I don't have that issue with this powder. It seems to give my skin a luminous look, blurs imperfections, and sets my foundation perfectly. I use it with Sephora's Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation. I would definitely repurchase. This powder retails for $22.

This powder is very soft and fine, but I do have to say I feel like it just sits on my skin. It looks great w/ a finishing spray though. The coverage it adds even after I've applied foundation is nice. Definitely one of my favorite powders thus far! Another thing is: it transfers onto clothing very easily, but other than that I like it.
