I'm not sure about this one. Was recommended to me at the shop, and it seemed like a good idea at the time (mostly because I really liked the packaging design...). Now a few months later I'm not too sure. It's a super basic, foaming cleanser - no more, no less. It doesn't feel very drying when you rinse it off, but I'm suspecting it's actually not doing much for my skin aside from that. May even be the reason why my skin has been acting up more than normally these past months. Nah, I prefer a creamy cleanser to this any day of the week. Also the pretty packaging broke for no apparent reason and made an absolute mess - the product is very thick and sticky, so sort of difficult to wipe off. So no thanks, Kiehl's - you lured me in with your typography, but I'm not having any more of it.
I been using this product for a week and already the spots on my chin have disappeared and the ones I had have decreased in size. It is a great facial cleanser and it leaves you skin feeling squeaky clean. I do find that it does leave your face a bit dry, but quickly apply moisturizer and there should be now problems. I have sensitive acne prone dry skin, I am alway wary of using a cleanser, but this one has changed my mind. It foams up well cleans well and smells okay. A little goes a long way. I don't use this to take my makeup off. I'll use bioderma makeup remover and then this cleanser.
This cleanser takes off my makeup like a charm. It's kind of a gel-like creamy, thick texture and doesn't foam up. But it is a little hard to rinse off. I feel like it is moisturizing and does the job, however, for the price -- I get the exact same results/feeling from the Trader Joe's Nourish Cleanser for $6.
NC25 Chinese, acne prone.
Always felt like it left a residue behind on my face (moisturizing barrier from the oils?), prefer clean rinsing away cleansers.
PROPYLPARABEN, METHYLPARABEN, ETHYLPARABEN AND BUTYLPARABEN all know carcinogens most other big companies has removed them from the cosmetic and skincare lines.
Couple of years ago I was using Benev Pearl Cleanser and I though no one can reach its quality. After using Kiehls, I think I was wrong. The consistency and feeling after washing is almost same. Very gently removes makeup, oil etc. from your face without any breaks on your face. I am using every day and night and I can tell that it helped my skin to become smoother. Shortly, it is definitely worth to buy this product!
-Even small amount is enough to wash all your face, you need to froth it up a bit.
-Tip of the bottle is small that you can control amount of product easily.
-Cleans everything very well without any breaks.
-It seems a bit expensive but it is a longlasting product.
This is my new HG cleanser.Fragrance free,no added unnecessary irritants, just a good all round cleanser. The behenyl alcohol in this is a cosmetic thickener and is is no way related to the nasty drying alcohols, some reviewers seem to be mislead there.I find the best way to use this is to wet face, apply a little to wet hands, lather it up a bit on hands then apply to face.If you apply to face straight from the tube it can feel thick and gluey and be hard to spread. That's the mistake I made at first. This is very concentrated ,a little is really all you need.It rinses easily too, even though it's thick. It's not cheap but it will last a while.Leaves skin feeling clean ,soft, and so signs of dryness or tightness.Excellent cleanser which I intend to repurchase again and again.I've tried different cleansers all my life(I'm56).But I will need to go some to beat this one. It's excellent.
I tried the sample satchel of this cleanser but after the first wash, it left the skin on my face feeling taut and dry. I lather the cleanser on my wet face before working the foam, and then washing it away with room temperature water. However, shortly after my face felt dry and the skin beside my nose felt tight (my skin there is more sensitive). It's probably due to the alcohol content in the cleanser. Won't recommend using this if you have sensitive skin.
This stuff is the BEST.
I love it and have been using it for about a year. My skin is great now and I owe it in part to this lovely stuff. Ive had really bad luck with cleansers, which have caused everything from dry patches to cystic acne! but that is besides the point and all forgotten now. My pores are no longer huge craters and I can't remember the last time I had a spot.
It is perhaps a little on the pricey side, but a little goes such a long way. I use a pea sized amount and a tube lasts about 6 months (and thats with my boyfriend using it too).
