Very smooth and pigmented product! Value for money and the quality is superb. Very fine and a little goes a long way. This product is my HG even powders like MUFE, MAC are not as good as this......I LOVE IT!!!!

I have this in the pressed compact version because it's way easier to travel with and to take in your handbag. This powder is so beautiful. Not cakes, no white cast, it doesn't make all this little invisible hairs on your face stand out, it doesn't add a heavy layer to your face. It is magic, light weight, hides pores and diminishes shine. But it doesn't make your look unnaturally matte. Just lovely natural finish. Gosh I love this powder...go try it.

I really love this powder. I don't generally buy HE powders as I have found that the £1.99 one I get from Boots is almost identical to the Clinique loose powder so dropping the extra cash didn't seem worth it.
I decided to treat myself to this though, and I'm glad I did. It is the finest texture I have ever used, which is good for my oily nose and large pores. It is a good colour match - but then translucent powder normally is! I think the pot it comes in is lovely, although a bit cumbersome for travel. I prefer the puff that it comes with it to the brush the Clinique one comes with.
All in all, if I'm feeling flush I would buy this again. Otherwise, my £1.99 powder is perfectly adequate.

The greatest loose powder ever! I love it's consistency, application and finish - all of this make it the best loose powder out there for me! I have it in #20 Clair and it makes wonderful complexion. Highly recommended!

I use (20:claire) Good for setting foundation. A bit too transparent to use alone.

There are really just not enough great things to say about this loose powder. This is definitely HG status for me and a product I will NEVER live without.

Love this powder. Have used this for the past year, great for fixing foundation. Also use over moisturiser as a quick 'run out the door' look, which I find works very well. Skin looks flawless and even. Will repurchase when in years to come it will eventually run out!!

I have this one in Peche Clair, which is a very light apricot colour. When I bought this, me and the saleswoman were debating whether I should get the Clair or the Peche Clair. While my skin is really fair, I have problems with redness around my nose. Plus I have to be careful with not looking too deadly. For foundation, I'm using Vitalumière in Clair right now-while I like its dewy look, you definately need powder to set it. So we settled on the Peche Clair because it gave me a more "healthy" look.
It's perfect with my foundation (which can sometimes be a tad too dark/yellow, but makes my skintone look super healthy), really perfects it. This combo photographs very well. The Poudre universelle libre seems to have sort of an airbrushing effect, I do not know how to describe it properly. It diffuses light in the most flattering way. The scent is light, almost non-detectable.
BTW, I don't use the puff that comes with it. I use a powder brush. I brush it over my foundation, put on my blush and set my blush after that as well.

This is the best loose powder I've used, ever. It's finely milled and sets your makeup like nothing else. It also lasts for a very long time - so no worries on price - if you use this regularly you'll get your money's worth.
I use the translucent color - the others are too dark for my fair, cool-toned skin.
Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the lightest shade, "Translucent 1," is too dark for my very fair, cool toned skin. While at Macy's, I tried this on, and it looked great, so I bought it (I believe it's $52). Gives a BEAUTIFUL airbrushed finish, that looks great during the day. Doesn't offer too much coverage, but makes skin look very pretty. After I purchased it and started wearing it, I noticed that it was definitely darker than my skin color. Because there is a little bit of peach in this powder, it turned my skin a peachy/light tan. Very minimally, yet I noticed. Even darkened the spots where I put concealer. I wish it were more neutral toned, but it's not. I have a very hard time wearing most Chanel products, with the exception of the "Tweed" collection. Most colors run very warm, and I am very cool, so they don't work.

I bought this powder in 20 clair after I read in some blog that it's the key for Keira Knighley's flawless skin. I've always admired her beautiful skin, so I decided to skip the foundation, which is usually too yellow and heavy on my face. For reference, I'm nc 25/nw 20 and I've always had trouble in choosing the right colour for me, because I have a light olive tone on my face and a very fair tone on my neck.
Now I pair le blanc base and this powder and the result is amazing. For the first time in my life I've reached the "Snow white effect"! This powder is so soft and transparent and it's quite a luxury treat. I'd just recommend not to use it too much to avoid the ghost and cakey look. Use a brush to apply it and not the puff in the packaging.

I usually use Chanel's double perfection powder but I wanted to try something a little lighter not as heavy (although i love the double perfection powder for going out) I just have to say that this is becoming my everyday powder. It's perfect, not too thick, not to thin. No shininess and it doesn't leave a chalky finish like other mineral powders. I think the price is a steal, it's 52 dollars but you get so much more, 3x more than the double perfection powder. The container that it comes in is so large, it really doesnt end up being much more expensive, if at all more, than competing brands. I've found my new love.

This powder makes my skin look amazing, it's so soft and I can even put cream blush over it and doesn't make a mess. I love it's so big, most loose powders are so small and this lasts a long time..and the sponge is so tender... I love this.

My go-to since I started wearing make-up. Great for oily skins.

I bought this because I liked the pressed powder (good for travel) but thought the loose powder is more easy to use. It is the top quality powder and gives me a natural and transparent complexion, not like other powders that make me look like a ghost or a sick person. I have oily nose so sometimes I need retouching in the afternoon but in general its not necessary. Highly recommended.

I resurrected this powder from my "unactive" drawer when a review popped up and reminded me of this hidden gem I have. I moved it on only because I started to use Bobbi Brown skin foundation in warm sand and I went for her matching powder. Bad move. The BB powder isn't good at all and it deposits another layer of yellow tones on my neutral skin. The Chanel powder is Clair and it performs remarkably well and I wasn't necessarily thinking of powder in terms of performance, just finish. My makeup looks fresh all day and the colour is much more natural than with both BB products. If you are neutral, rather than look for a neutral foundation and drive yourself crazy, get a warm foundation and use a cooler powder over it. The effect is really terrific. When you anchor your makeup in an exact match foundation, you can do more with other makeup and not look over done. Fortunately this jar of Chanel is full so I will be in business for a long time. In any case, stay away from the BB powder.

Love it so far! So airy and light and smooth feeling on your face! Also smells nice and lasts forever. I might try Clinique's blended face powder after I'm out... heard alot of great reviews on it and it's sooo much cheaper! Hopefully it would work well with my other makeup.

I love this loose powder. Leaves skin looking completely matte, looks excellent in photos! It really sets make up perfectly. This is now one of my make up bag essentials, don't think I'd buy another loose powder again!
If you're worried about the price, don't. I bought my powder months ago and it doesn't even look like I've made a dent, will last ages!

This powder is wonderful! It is talc/nylon based but it is very finely milled and has some treatment ingredients (lysine, magnesium, boron) as well as mineral pigments. It is not totally matte and it gives the perfect satin/matte finish. It has a faint fresh scent to it. The powder does even out the skin tone and has minimal coverage. I wear this on my skin and nothing else on many days. The nylon really allows the powder to adhere to the skin and keeps you fresh for the whole day. It is pricey ($52 for 30g) but considering how long it lasts it's worth it; the jar is HUGE. Keeping that in mind my sales lady gave me 2 extra puffs to have on hand because I find that washing the puff really does not work. I plan to replace it every few months. If you wear powder every day and you want something more luxurious give this a try! Side note: The sifter can be lifted up and the jar can be refilled later on if you want to save your beautiful jar for some other powders in your collection.
