When my last eye cream ran out I just didn't get another one to replace it. When I got into my 30's I decided I need to start using an eye cream again so I went to the drugstore. Everything was so expensive and I honestly bought this because it was the cheapest thing on the shelf (I think it was under $20)! I wanted to give my eye area some extra moisture care not really thinking that it would help dark circles like it claims. I have been using this now for about 2-3 months now and I have noticed a huge difference in my dark circles. They aren't completely gone (I don't think any product out there will ever do that) but the bluish and purplish hues have diminished to the point where a good concealer will actually cover up the rest of the darkness. I don't have any eye lines to comment on how well it works for fine lines but I am hoping it will prevent them or slow down the process at least.
I only apply this at night before I go to bed. I keep it in my night table and put a few dots under each eye before I turn off my light to go to sleep. I don't love the pot format just because its a great place for bacteria and germs to hang out but its not a huge deal breaker for me. I really love this eye cream and I highly recommend it. I will definitely repurchase because it works and its the cheap one on the shelf so your wallet will like it too!
I've been using this eye cream for a week now. I purchased it because it was about half off at Ulta and it was cheaper than most creams I saw there. Basically I bought this to get rid of my dark circles and the annoying wrinkles under my eyes. After a week, I already see a big improvement in the appearance if my dark circles! I've been using this about twice a day (after I wash my face). I haven't really noticed a difference in the wrinkles though, but I realize that will take longer than a week. The packaging is nice and eloquent!
This does exactly what it says it will do. It depuffs and gets rid of dark circles. It really does all of that and beautifully. I recently started noticing some puffiness and dark circles in the morning when I wake up. I simply put this on and within minutes, my eye area looks refreshed, not puffy and no darkness. It has caffeine in it and that really eliminates the puffiness. I absolutely love this eye cream and the price is very affordable.

Just picked this up at the drugstore on a whim. The light, relatively oil free component appealed to me - and the price was right. Didn't expect miracles and after a couple of weeks of use, I "thought" I looked a bit more refreshed. (Ahh, thumbs up for the placebo effect!) HOWEVER, today (after ~3 weeks), I've noticed an odd (minor) eczema-type rash around both eyes. I can only attribute this to the new cream... which has now found a new home - my trash bin! I don't have overly-sensitive skin so I'm quite surprised at this reaction. I suppose sometimes you get what you pay for. L'Oreal makes some great products but this one sadly did not work for me.
I started using this two months ago because I was having some weird dryness and swelling in the eye area. I bought this because it was the simplest eye cream eye could find. I was not looking for a powerful wrinkle fighting cream. This does not irritate my eyes, goes on really nicely and does not feel greasy. It really cleared up the dryness and made my eyes look and feel much better. I tried some eye cream from Clinique but it seemed to irritate my eyes so I went back to this one.
I love this stuff. I am 51 years old and have been using it around my eye area for about 15 years now. I have no lines or crows feet at all. My skin is extremely sensitive and I love this because it is lightweight and doesn't cause me any irritations. I have used other moisterizers on the rest of my face that were heavy and greasy and am starting to see laugh lines, etc. So I have recently started Eye Defense over my face hoping to get the same results as I have gotten around my eyes. I will definitely continue using this.
I really love this eye cream. My eye area was so dehydrated that i was getting fine lines underneath them. This product gave the perfect hydration i needed without irritating my eyes AND it was really soothing. It felt so good going on. I'm a Mom of a toddler, so this was very appreciated. It feels so good to put this on in early mornings and so good at night too when my eyes are tired. It's like medicine for my eyes, LOL. But it really does help keep that eye area well-hydrated and lasts all day. It wells wear under my l'oreal powder concealer (as long as i let the cream absorb for a good 3-5 minutes before applying concealer, which is easy to do, just brush your teeth and floss.). I'm halfway through the pot right now and i plan on buying more when i run out. I noticed that my dehydration lines were so much less noticeable after about a week of 2x daily use. Now it's been a few months and i am not at all self-conscious about my dry eye-area (which i really used to be). Great, solid product for tired Moms and tired anybody!

For what it's worth, this is a solid eye cream. After weeks deprived of moisture, I popped into my local rite-aid and spent a really, really long time considering options before deciding on this.
.
The main reason this won: ingredients didn't seem to have silicone in it. My previous eye creams cost much more, but relied much on dimethicone. I want sustainable eye care. Silicone products cultivate a dependency on silicone, while low-key damaging your natural structures. Stay away from that shit.
.
Yes, it does have parabens. But it also comes in a small pot. Parabens prevent microbes and mold from multiplying, which is why its in everything.
.
I cut my losses and took the paraben because I will not find an all-natural, organic, silicone free, paraben free, beautifully packaged eye cream sturdy enough for winter under $15 at a drugstore. Cmon now.
.
My eyes drank in the moisture when I applied it. It is thin enough to spread a small amount luxuriously. I tap some product on the cap to minimize germs and it is enough.
.
It does depuff. Granted, I don't grapple huge issues with puffiness -- if it is that severe, it is not a job eye cream can fix. I have days where my puffiness is out of control but it is usually due to inflammatory foods & lack of expulsion (water, fiber, sweat). Puffiness can also decrease with neck stretches that flush out your inflamed pathways. As far as regular puffiness though, this cream really does its job. My eyes seem bigger, calmer.
.
I would also like to address those with redness/itchiness/millia: you must find natural alternatives that are coconut oil based. Try raw essentials coconut oil and mushroom extract eye cream. That has a different source and you should be working to Target the source, not the symptoms.
.
Overall, I recommend this eye cream for those who need something reliable, effective, and silicone-free for under $15 at a drugstore. It depuffs and morning application keeps me moisturized throughout a winter day. If you are seeking all natural organic everything with no parabens AND no silicone AND as few chemicals as possible with antimicrobial packaging, do not expect to find this at a drugstore, yall.
.
For what, it, is, eye defense is the bomb, and I'm glad I found it.

I'll probably buy more of this if I can't find reviews for something better in the same price range. This is a decent moisturizer, but it doesn't de-puff my eyes or do anything for dark circles, although in my experience nothing but makeup can do anything for dark circles. This is totally serviceable and it plumps up fine lines around my eyes.
This is the only eye cream that doesn't cause my eyes to redden, swell, or become dry and scaly. Unfortunately, I do not think this eye cream does anything for my under-eye circles, wrinkles, or fine lines. This product also has parabens in it!! The only reason I keep coming back to this is because every time I try to use something else, my eyes become red and swollen! Until I can find something that actually targets my issues AND doesn't have parabens then I will continue to use this :(
