Basically two things stood out to me in this product. Main Pro: It worked very nicely. Main Con: It hurt.
I did a patch test on arm before and all I felt was a bit of tingling. But when I applied it to my face it began to sting. At first I was like "Eh. It stings a little." But after a while, I was like "Stupid timer. Go off already." It stung really badly for me. But I still kept it on. I was desperate for this to work and disguised my dark mustache. I was always teased about being a girl and having more hair than a boy, so yes I was pretty desperate. I thought it was going to irritate me after I took it off due to the stinging, but once the timer went off for 8 minutes, I washed it with cold water right away and felt immediately better. Overall, it worked it really well, my lady mustache was completely disguised and almost invisible. The hair was also really soft after.
PROS:
Worked really well. Everything I hoped for.
CONS:
It stung. pretty badly.
Nice almond smell, but when applying, very strong chemical smell that made my eyes water and gave me a headache.
Again it stung.
It may seem like there were more cons, but it worked. And that's what i wanted. It could just be that I'm sensitive to this. It just hurts on my face though. Despite the pain, I do recommend this to anyone to is looking for an alternate way of removing hair.
HG product!
I have dark arm hair and pale skin - not the look I'm going for. I even tried shaving my arms once which just left them scratchy and stubbly until the hair finally grew back out. Stubbly arms are even grosser than hairy arms!
So I tried this stuff on a whim when I couldn't find the Jolene's bleach that I used to use. This stuff works like a charm.
First, I use a cotton ball to apply the pre-conditioner that comes in the box. Then I mix up 10 mls of activator with 20 mls of the creme bleach stuff (for a total of 30 mls). At first it is very liquidy, but then as you apply it, it turns into this cool foamy texture. I leave it on for 12-15 minutes and WOW, my gross dark hair magically turns into adorable little white blonde hairs! It makes my skin look tanner too, because there isn't such a contrast between the hair and skin.
PROS: cheap, easy, totally lightens dark hair
CONS: after the first few minutes on, this stuff starts to itch. Seriously it does not feel good. But beauty is pain. I do think it stings less than Jolene's though, and it works better too IMO.
I have been using this since 9th grade, and I anticipate that I will never be without it! Why torture yourself with waxing or threading the upper lip? That hair for most of us is soft, thin, short, and not noticeable except for the color so just bleach it! This kit works perfectly, is extremely easy to use, affordable, lasts me a good year, doesn't fall off the face easily like other brands I've tried, is virtually painless (it just may start to tingle near the end), and overall it just does what it claims to do. It may lighten the actual skin (not just the hair) a teeny bit, but it goes away after a day or two and will only be noticeable to you anyway. Highly recommended, a staple for me.
It works! Love it! REmember to patch test!
Review before and after results here http://prettyhair22.blogspot.co.uk/
I started using Sally Hansen hair removing and bleaching products around the age of 16. I noticed about a year ago that the area of my upper lip that I used to bleach is now discolored. It is way whiter than the rest of my skin and very embarrassing. My makeup won't even stay on it! I pay extra attention when applying makeup there but nothing helps, the makeup just disappears from that area through out the day. I want to warn you guys to be careful using these products and pay close attention to your skin color! I'm not sure if it was the cream remover or bleach that caused this. I stick to just waxing! It is faster and last way longer. Good luck !

Alright so I'm 14, I hit puberty at 5th grade, and started shaving since then .... I was super insecure and all my friends were hairless, so stupid me shaved everything not knowing it made the hair thicker and grow faster, i didnt have anyone to talk to so i kept doing it.... . (/,\).... eventuallyl I waxed/threaded my face, but i noticed I would get acne right after, so i turned to Nair, which was way worse! Then my sisters friend told me about Sally Hansens Hair Bleach Cream, and she looks amazing, it looks like she has no hair at all, and her skin looks soft and not dry. She said no bumps or acne appeared when she tried it. I've researched the cream everywhere and I'm convinced the results will be greater than my expectations! Wish me luck, going to the store today!!
This cream worked exactly as expected, and was super easy!
I went with this brand because I knew the name, and since I had never used any kind of bleach before I didn't want to get too adventurous. The instructions are vague on amounts, but I read a few other reviews on here, so I mixed about 1 part activator : 2 parts bleach and let it sit for 8 minutes. I had no redness, the cream came off easily, but I did follow up with some aloe just to be safe.
My hair was just dark enough to be noticeable, and now it's invisible!
This is great!!!! For one it actually works and you no longer have to deal with plucking or waxing. I don't care if there is hair on my lip as long as it isn't black!! This stuff fixes that problem
Yay I wish I knew about this before! I've been plucking my mustache since high school!! This is a great and fast alternative!! I wouldn't say I have thick upper lip hair but it can be noticeable for guys when they kiss me. It's something I've been pretty self conscience about since I was 13! I'm 22 now and have just thought about bleaching.
Pros:
A lot of product for the price
Not runny formula
Can scrape off product after 5 minutes then wash face
Makes facial hair basically invisible
Cons:
Burning sensation after 5 mins ( instructions suggest 8 mins)
