i ripped my nail halfway down into the quick, and almost halfway across...i could not even cut it close to the rip so i purchased this after a fellow MUAer rec'd fixing rips with powder and glue....it works....i applied the glue first, then added a little powder and spread it with a toothpick over about 1/3 of the nail, let it dry and buffed it down...it dries a little rough but will be lumpy if you dont use a toothpick because the orange stick they provide is just not small or thin enough to spread the mixture around with...so far its been 3 days and still holding strong...i will keep this up until it grows out...very impressive repair kit
