This completely smudged into a raccoon look in a couple of hours. It was also very dry, it would tug at my skin as i lined my eyes with it. It was also not very pigmented. I really thought this would be better considering the price. Urban decay, mac, and milani liquifeye work much better.

Not impressed! I bought the espresso shade a while ago at Duty Free and so pleased, thought I'd splurge on the black version next time I was at an airport (it's very pricey). Sad to say it's like a different product. The pigment is very dark with ebene, but it smudges and does not have the same lasting power. I had major raccoon eyes after a normal day! No thanks. I bought the Rimmel waterproof one as a dupe, it smudged on me too. So did Sephora's version. Is a black, retractable, stick eyeliner that doesn't smudge so hard to find?

I am head over heels in love with this eyeliner- its just phenomenal from the packaging to the product inside. The eyeliner comes in a very elegant tube- its a twist up eyeliner but there is a little sharpener at the bottom so you can make a really fine point if you want a thin line. This eyeliner is really black and it lasts ALL DAY on my waterline which is unheard of. I really don't mind spending the extra money on an eyeliner like this because it lasts so long and is so pigmented. I only need to go over my waterline once and a really strong black line will be left behind. If you have extra money to blow on an incredible eyeliner buy this one.

This is good on my eyelids as it doesn´t smudge if I first powder my eyelids. I was using a liquid eyeliner by lóreal but everytime I put it on my eyelids would suddenly swell so I suppose I was allergic to it plus the staying power of chanel is far better and I don´t need any touchups during the day. Comes in a nice retractable penicil with a built in sharpner and it cost me 19 euros 50 which wasn´t too bad for such a good liner. I´ve bought cheaper ones but its been false economy as they have not had the staying power and resistancy of Chanel.

I only bought this to stop the sales assistant hounding me about it haha and i don't really like it. It smudges in hot weather and it doesn't glide on smoothly either (or maybe i just got a crappy one...?). I do use it on my flights and in cooler weather just until it's finished. Will not buy again.

This smudges. So even if it's easy to apply/use/bring around, it fails the most important requirement for me. Really disappointing.

So far, what doesn't smudge on me is the Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner (but it dries up and you need to use a brush) and the Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner (but it requires steady hands because of the ultra-fine tip)

Love/Hate relationship with this one because of the waterproof part. Maybe because I got this in Europe it does not work well in Asian climates. Basically it's water, waterproof but not sweat (*ick*) proof so after not so long outside it starts to smudge and become a panda =_= Overall the pigmentation is great and I love this on my waterline but it takes a good eye makeup remover to get rid of it all. Another thing I love about this product is the sharpener is cleverly attached to it; if you pull out the bottom there's a mini sharpener! So as well as it being one of those twisty-turny eyeliners it comes with a sharpener too!

I usually use this for tight line on my upper eye & one thing for sure, it do run down to my lower eye line in 3hrs. I don't expect a waterproof eye liner to smudge or runs but this one sure do. No doubt its easy to apply, smooth & pigmented but it never stay where it suppose to. continued >>

Smooth, pigmented, a neutral black with subtle blue undertones that helps to brighten the whites of my eyes. Because of its strong pigmentation, it helps to create nicely defined eyes. I use this mainly on my upper eyelids. It retails for SGD$36.

When I use this on my eyelids, I must use Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer no matter what because this does smudge, maybe due to the fact that it is not as waxy as other similar liners like the Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner (but then again, if the Chanel one was as waxy, it would drag the skin and smooth application would be compromised). I have tried it on without primer before and it smudges after a couple of hours on my oily lids. With primer, it stays on the whole day. I never use it to tightline simply because it transfers onto my lower eye area and creates racoon eyes. I have tried using it lightly on my lower lash line and it smudges very easily.

Would I repurchase? Yes. Not because it is CHANEL, but because of the shade of the black and how easy it is to apply. I use primer no matter what, so it doesn't matter and it does not bother me that I can only use it on my eyelids. If I really do want to tightline, I would settle for the Revlon Colorstay one for that purpose.

I'm not very good with applying eyeliner but this eyeliner is easy to apply (glides on smoothly) and looks natural when I apply it close to the eye line. I usually use this by itself when I go for a more natural and simple look, but if I put on full makeup, I'd draw a thin line with this stylo eyeliner, followed by liquid eyeliner on top. The only downside is that it smudges slightly during the day, but I'd definitely recommend it to others, plus, it's not expensive (in Hong Kong, at least), in fact, I was surprised at how affordable Chanel products were!! Good deal =D
