Right now I am studying abroad in China, and as many of you know, beauty products around the globe are not always created equally- so I figured this is a nice chance to try some Asian skincare items for myself. I like Asian products because they are mostly created for oily-combo skin like my own. This means that their formulas are acne-clearing, or oil-controlling, and the moisturisers are lightweight and silky on the skin. Good pluses. My first purchase was Pond's Oil Control Algae Salt Cleansing Mud. It comes in an 85 g (most beauty products are packaged on the small side - I think to keep prices low), spring green squeeze tube with a fliptop cap, a plus for using in the shower. The cleanser itself is a metallic green colour and has a very sweet seaweedlike smell, but not too strong. It has nice foaming action on the skin, and leaves a 'no residue' kind of feeling. Very fresh and clean, but not overstripped. Also one of the few cleansers I saw that was not whitening- trust me I'm white enough lol. Good cleanser for the money (24 RMB which is roughly around 3.30 US) but I won't buy again only beause I want to sample different things. If any of you ladies in Asia are reading this, I highly recommend for oily skin.
