Another excellent product that no one else has reviewed. I am really surprised!!!

If you like Sofina Lucent sunscreen, you may want to try their foundation. I waited for a few months to review due to breakout factor and can say that daily use of both Sofina ss and *liguid type*f oundation has caused no breakouts on my combo-tending toward oily but still dry face. The two work so well together. I have ordered the *milky type* but have yet to test.

My skin is hard to please, and I've been very impressed with Sofina products. I'd always avoided ss because of breakouts; foundations are tricky, too. l I use Fine-Fit Base Foundation UV Liquid Type UV, which is technically for dry skin, but has worked well on my combo skin with Retin-A. It is in a rectangular bottle and comes with an application pad in a separate case. However, I find the best application is with fingertips for the best coverage.

Like the Sofina Lucent ss, the bottle has a narrow tip to control how much is used, keeps the container clean, and also has the bead inside for mixing. The spf is 25.

The liquid applies beautifully-silky-sheer but enough coverage for imperfections/redness. I am updating to add that it makes pores look smaller, not larger as many foundations tend to do. Also, it can be reapplied sparingly on redness/discoloration while maintaining an exceptional finish. I do not use concealer with this foundation--it works wonderfully around the eyes, too. Moreover, the foundation passed my greatest test: humid East Coast summer weather. The formula is fairly sweatproof as I needed to blot with only an occasional powder touch-up.

The liquid can be reapplied without cakey buildup, which is great because I suffer from late summer allergies and have to constantly blow my nose!

The only problem with Sofina Fine Fit is the same with Sofina Lucent: it is virtually impossible to find in the US and so has to be ordered from overseas! If you are interested in trying a sample, I recommend bobodave.com for quality service.

I am blonde and fair--always in the Ivory neutral category. Color 113 was a perfect match for me. Highly recommend. I am a Japanese cosmetic convert.
Update: used all summer without breakouts. After test-driving another foundation, have returned to the Sofina-officially my HG. Worth the overseas ordering for me.

Update: after using MUFE Lift (and trying MUFE Face&Body), I am back to Sofina Fine Fit. Here is is-a year later! Everyone I've asked agrees that the Fine Fit foundation seems to smooth out the pores best. I am not white pale, but quite fair with some redness and the 113 is a perfect match and very neutral (other numbers have more yellow base). Purchased the "milky" type this time and am very happy as it does not emphasize any dry skin and stays matte-especially for summer. Hold up better in extreme perspiration, heat and humidity than any other foundation I've ever used. continued >>
