Centalacream is an australian product that retails for between $12-20AU depending on whether it is on sale or not. Woolworths/Safeway have been selling it for more than 6 months at $12. This is marketed as a body cream for stretchmarks, however I have been using it as a evening face cream for 6 months and absolutely love it. Its active ingredients include centella asiatica, guarana, horse chestnut and ivy extract in a base which includes apricot oil, shea butter and urea. Not only that the active ingredients are listed high up (centella and guarana are 3 and 4 respectively) which means that there is enough of the active ingredient to actually make a difference. I am in my 40's with slightly oily skin and yet this sinks in immediately and never makes my skin feel greasy. In my opinion it is light enough to use around the eyes without making them puffy.
The active ingredients are specifically chosen for their ability to tone slack skin and strengthen collagen, making it perfect as a facial cream, as long as it suits you. The skin on my face is quite firm and thick, but the skin on my neck and chest area was becoming somewhat thin and crepey. I have found that it has made a great deal of difference to the texture and thickness of the skin on this area. At this price, for a 200 gram tub, buy it for your body and try it on your face. It might just be the best beauty bargain you buy all year.
