The shadow is definately pricy at $20 for a small eyeshadow in a brown and silver compact with mirror. But the recent Sephora discontinuation of the line brought the price down to $5. Steal at $5. Velour is a true dark black. In the pan you see a slight shimmer but you dont see the shimmer on the lid. SUPER pigmented so use a very very light hand. I used this in the outer crease and to line with. Its nice but same as any other true black shade. I would get this for $5 but not for $20.
