I like that this is a very basic and cheap drugstore cream that actually moisturizes. I also am a fan of the fact that I don't have to read 50 ingredients on the back in order to know what I'm putting on my face. As far as defying aging, Im not sure if it does anything as Im not at that age just yet. But for not, I love this cream. I do think that it would be more hygenic to come in a pump, but oh well!

I use this when my Olay Original Active Hydrating moisturizer needs some help to boost my dry skin. I will usually use this on areas that are extra dry because of acne I'm trying to dry out with benzyl peroxide and put the Original on non-problem areas.
This is a nice basic night cream that does a great job of putting moisture back into sad, stressed, dried skin. I don't use it every night and never during the day, as I want less moisture under my makeup.
If you like the Original formula or are looking for a basic night cream I'd give this little gem a try.
Some people have complained about the scent, but I find that overtime I learned to love the scent. I like the smell of rose fragrance, so I never hated the original smell. I do weirdly love to smell these moisturizers. I guess I'm slightly neurotic in that way. So if you aren't sensitive to fragrance or turned away by the jar give this one a try.
Good job Olay! You make me want to try more of your products! :)

I've never written a review about any product before, although I LOVE to read them everytime I try something new! I can happily say after searching and searching, and spending a lot of money on skin care products I have found my match! I love this night cream, i'm 24 and use it every night before bed, my skin looks flawless in the morning! Almost like I had a facial in my sleep! I have very oily skin, and it doesn't help with that, but my skin looks great, and I am so happy with the results! Olay for life!

Love this! I love the smell, it's kind of baby powderish. Moisturizes very well and lasts all night. I love the thick consistency and would recommend this to anyone. Really surprised at how well it moisturizes for the price as well :) Never going back to my old night creams!!

I found this cream to be hydrating and didn't cause breakouts. It does exactly what it advertises and it's my daily night cream.

My HG of night cream. Considerably inexpensive compared to other brands that do not work half as well. The consistency is thick but does not leave the skin oily at all. Melts right into the skin and does exactly what it says.

i love this. i wake up with a nice, soft, and moisturized face. i usually hate jar moisturizers, i prefer a pump, but i'll go through it for this amazing product. it looks and feels heavy, but its fast-absorbing and doesnt feel heavy at all. the powder fragrance is not too strong and doesnt bother me, it does go away once applied. it lasts all night, much better than a basic moisturizer. love it!

This moisturizer was very hydrating, yet it sometimes made my skin burn and I'm not convinced it wasn't causing my breakouts. Will not repurchase.

I have Asian combination skin and am in my mid 20s.
I don't know why people are disgusted by the smell of this product, it smells like a hint of baby powder. Why is that so gross?
The product is very thick and my skin feels like it is drinking moisturizer everytime I apply the product. I don't think it is excessively oily nor does it make my skin break out. I wake up in the morning with smooth porcelain skin. Best of all, it costs $6 at Target. Compared to the cost of most night creams, this one is at least worth a try.

I very rarely react badly to products and have used Olay Total Effects happily for ages, but tried this and it made my skin look red and rashy, then in the morning I had a couple of new spots - yuk !
Tried it twice in case it was a coincidence, but same thing happened the second time, so it's in the bin.
I imagine it's due to the "firming" ingredients, but do watch out with this one.

It's a so-so night cream. Didn't really 'wow' me. It's a very thick cream, so I only lightly pat my fingers in the product and apply to my face in sections. You can easily overdo it with this cream and end up looking very shiny (which doesn't really matter at night).
It's also very fragranced & perfumey. You get used to it after a few times, but for those who are sensitive to smells, this one might be a bit too much for you.
I haven't really noticed much firming, but I didn't purchase the product for that specifically.
It's a good low-end moisturizer if you're looking for a basic night cream. continued >>

i have really dry skin and have been worried about premature aging because of the sun and just because i have dry skin in general. this is the BEST product ever for me. i have only used it for about 3 weeks but i have such smooth skin! i dont even feel the need to use a primer anymore because of how flawless my skin feels and looks with this. literally my favourite product. dont use this if you have oily skin. but for dry skin it is a miracle cream!

I kinda like it. It moisturizes okay but not very well. I don't like how it looks right after I put it on, it looks kinda dry in a way. But in the morning my face looks good. Not so sure about the firming. Haven't seen any difference and been using over a month. I just use it because it's cheap in price and I don't like going to sleep with a dry face. Also the smell I don't like. Smells like baby powder.

I used this ages ago when I was really big into anti-aging products (had this huge, came from nowhere, fear of looking like my mother- think of a younger version of the Crypt Keeper). So I tried this. It broke me out like crazy and I hated it. I ended up tossing this. I don't know if they re-formulated this within the several yrs since I used it but I'm not trying it again.

I have been using this product for awhile and I really like it. I have dry, sensitive skin with mild rosacea and my derm put me on Ziana to help with the redness in my face. Well the Ziana has made my face more sensitive and dry so this Night of Olay cream works really great for me. I was using the the active hydrating cream in the morning and this at night but now I'm trying the Olay Complete for sensitive skin with SPF 15 because I need some protection during the day. I definately would recommend this to anybody with the same kind of skin as me.

This is thick but not very moisturizing.. also smells disgusting. Used this at night + the active hydrating cream in the morning and they made me break out. Packaging sucks; its in a cute little jar butp it'd be better in a pump bottle so you don't have to dip your fingers in it.

This is perfect for my combo 32 year old skin. I use retin a micro, so I need something that is not super lightweight, but will not leave me an oily mess when I wake up in the morning. No frills, No irritation, no breakouts. The product being inexpensive is a nice bonus. Definitely repurchasing.

I bought this cream maybe 1 or 2 years ago and still haven't finished it yet. When I first used it, I was put off by the bad smell and how it made my face oily at night. Recently, I went back to it (because I ran out of other night moisturizers) and it has worked great since. No break outs, no oily face..I don't exactly know what's "different". I am glad that I kept it though and didn't throw it away. Other than keeping my face moisturized, I don't really see any "firming" effect.
I can't say I'd buy this again because I want to try other firming creams that maybe works better than this one. But for now I'm sticking to this one since my face is okay with it.

I've only been using this cream for two nights, but I'm already kind of in love with it. My thing with night time moisturizing always went that I'd slather some on (usually Cetaphil or Curel) and my skin would immediately look glossy and shiny and I'd have to go to bed right after to avoid ridicule from my family. WELL, with this stuff? It's got a matte finish! I don't know how they do that! But this stuff makes my skin look like normal people skin (not to mention immediately calms redness) for HOURS! I didn't even know that was possible, and frankly, I can get past the strong scent because of that fact alone. Even though it's a night cream, I used it again today in the morning to put under my makeup. And honestly, now I don't think I'll even need a primer anymore. Heck yesss!! Way to go Olay! :)
