I have a few Becca shadows and although they are nice, the colors arent particularly unique and they are pricey at $20. So lo and behold the Sephora sale discontinues the line so I grab a bunch of these for $5. Great deal at $5. Sable is a demi matte shade. Its a rather boring warm medium brown with a reddish undertone to it. Really doesnt pop or do much for my brown eyes. Comes in a brown and silver compact with mirror. I prefer shades like brocade or Jacquard for a brown. Nothing special

I may be the first to review this color, but I doubt I will be the last after the Sephora sale. I purchased this for $5 but it normally retails for $20 (hence the "4 lippies" for price). According to Becca's webpage, "Sable" is one of the company's "demi matt" shades. Sable is a very pretty medium caramel shade that truly is demi-matte -- it doesn't have obvious shimmer or frost but has just enough luminosity to keep it from looking dull on the lids. This shade would look amazing with blue eyes and in fact flattered my green hazel eyes nicely as well. When I pick the eyeshadow up on my brush it is a little bit dusty, like some Stila eyeshadows can be, but the blendability and pigmentation are fantastic. The lasting power was very good as well; I wore it over MAC Bare Canvas paint and it lasted from 8 am to well past 8 pm with not even a hint of fading or creasing (despite the fact that I spent some time sweating outside today, which usually causes even the best eyeshadows to fade and/or crease at least a little). Although it is not a terribly unique shade, I would still repurchase at the $20 price tag due to the high quality and the fact that I have been getting more into natural eye looks lately. For my coloring (PPP, auburn hair, green hazel eyes and freckles), Sable makes a great no-brainer everyday look -- a wash of Sable on the lids, a sweep of browbone highlighter, and some mascara and my eye makeup is complete. I really like the matte-but-not-really finish of this eyeshadow and I really wish I had been able to buy some more shades before they sold out at Sephora. The only reason I tried this eyeshadow was the sale price and now I am kicking myself for not delving into Becca makeup sooner!
