Yet another polish I got marked down to half price at the beauty supply in my neighbourhood. I just applied this yesterday so cannot comment as to wear (yet...but I will update) but this is another absolutely STUNNING polish from OPI. A true slightly warmer toned candy apple red with the most eye catching, pretty glitter/shimmer. This is truly a "4 seasons" polish....it would look great at any time of year. It would be stunning over the Holiday season but it is no less appropriate in the warmer weather we're now experiencing where I live.

My understanding is that this is one of the shades OPI is keeping from their Russian collection and I am really relieved about that because this is a unique shade and one that suits me and appeals to me so much that I will always want to wear this!

I bought this impulsively at CVS a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! It's a blue-toned satiny, glowy, and perfect red. I get tip wear fairly quickly with it, but it's worth it for the gorgeous color! It instantly lifts my mood and lasts a few days

I am addicted to this one. This is my go-to red, the one where I need to feel confident and in charge. The saturation of the colour is amazing, and there's a faint, lovely shimmer to it that just makes the nails pop. It's a perfect red, not too cherry, not too wine, just perfect. I do my nails myself (being a broke grad student), and at a conference down South where all the ladies had professional manicures, people kept asking me where I'd had my nails done. So this is a keeper. It goes on well, dries pretty fast, and with a good topcoat, resists chips well. This one is worth it, every last cent. And with the name, it makes me feel like a Soviet spy, a definite bonus.

This was the first nailpolish I ever bought - ever. and boy was I surprised when I found out other colours/brands didn't hold a candle to it's ease of application and durability! This is still (after 5 years) my favourite polish overall. Nothing has ever compared.. and it has lasted me forever!! I'm just about ready to buy a new one, and I hope I can find it. PLEASE don't discontinue this colour!!!

My HG Red polish. It is apparently sought after becouse often all bottles are bought out and when there are new ones, they vanish fast, though you can find one hidden in other red shade row. It is red, sheer golden shimmery, vampy, but not dark, kind of arterial (clean) blood tone. It lasts on my nails several days, but there is nothing that would last on mine, because my nails are super soft. Only thing I wish it was more pigmented, richer. It requires approx. 2 coats and is easy to remove.

LOOOOVE this color. A true red, but not a super dark vampy one. Geat coverage in 2 coats. Make sure to wrap the tips though since the white nail will stick out, if you forget you will likely end up with 3 coats. But its really not necessary for color depth.
The only complaint I have, is very small. It seemed to dry quickly on the neck and rim of the bottle when I would wipe the brush. So it might need thinner soon if its used a lot. But new it great.

A shimmery true red that is a little brighter & "redder" than OPI's I'm Not Really a Waitress. Love both of them. An Affair in Red Square is in my regular rotation of nail polishes. And thanks to the name, I can imagine myself a glamorous Russian supermodel when I wear it ... ; )

I LOVE THIS RED. It's my most fancy and perfect red. It just glows. It's warmer while still being a true red in comparison to i'm not really a waitress by opi. It only needed 2 coats but didn't last very long on my nails, and I always use OPI base and top coat!
If I had not used base and top coat, I think it would last longer. My theory is that the color payoff is so rich in the first and second coat, because it isn't runny like for eg. the essie polishes I have. Therefore, the thicker the polish the less it lasts. I have this problem with all of my OPI's but none of my essies!!

I truly recommend it, it's in keeping with other OPI's so if you are a fan of OPI, this specific shade is SPECTACULAR!

Can I start off by saying YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally my go-to red!!! This gorgeous red shimmer shade from OPI's Russian Collection is absolutely amazing! This is what I was expecting OPI's "I'm Not Really A Waitress" & although I do love that shade & I'm wearing it now; it pales in comparison to An Affair in Red Square! I give 5 lippies for the creative name of this lacquer because I'm willing to admit that a kooky or intriguing name definitely gets me! OPI's amazing creative marketing & advertising team's creative minds comes up with fabulous names that really do get me to purchase at their classic & upcoming lacquers. AFIRS has a wonderful name, but doesn't need any name as this red is a real stand out! It's a red that's perfect all year, but really something for the holidays! I love how it has a metallic look to it & the shimmer is absolutely amazing! The blue undertones really brighten up my pale skintone, especially in the drab winter in new england! This red is a stand out without being over the top & bordering on loud & gaudy! Never! It reminds me of what Hollywood starlets would've worn from past days & present as this sophisticated, classy & elegant nail lacquer transcends time. A true classic & EXACTLY what I've been looking for in reds for a very long time! A true red shimmer with such character & such an alluring & intoxicating shade. I love red cremes, but when I saw this shade, I was hooed! I have noticed that this has been the shade that I reach most often for in my expansive collection. If you love INRAW & would love to try her elegant, more sexy, sultry & sophisticated cousin that has more depth & character in my opinion; this is the one! I can't stop staring at the bottle as I type this! This lacquer stays on a long time without chipping, if it's ever chipped! I've stuck with OPI over the years not only because of their fabulous collections, shades & high quality formulas, but because OPI never disappoints! I never mind paying the extra money if it's a quality item & OPI has passed with flying colors over the years & only gets better! The fact that I know my nails are going to last from the moment I apply to the moment I take the lacquer off myself & that can be up to 2 weeks sometimes in barefeet on the beaches in the summer & never a chip! Never! Amazing & worth every penny! Afterall, life is short & I want to spend my time doing other things!!! OPI allows my nails to look fabulous & flawless without a tremendous amount of upkeep; although it looks that way! Thanks OPI! Another winner & one I'll buy again! I would bypass INRAW & go straight to this beauty!!! The caviar of red shimmers!!! :)
