I have been using Dormer products for years since my mother was given it by her dermatologist after having some precancerous skin lesions removed. I use the sunscreen with hyaluronic acid as well as the hyperemollient and the loose powder. My skin looks excellent and I am always mistaken for being much younger. Since I have moved to the States I have to order it but it arrives quickly and is definitely a holy grail product.

I have been using Dormer 211 Advanced Face & Hand Moisturizer for over a year now so I thought I'd add my review. I have dry, sensitive skin with mild rosacea. While I don't consider this to be HG material, for me it's a win since it is the first moisturizer I've found that doesn't either irritate my skin or cause breakouts. I don't feel that it has made my skin's redness any better, but I do feel it has slightly headed off new wrinkles and kept my skin from being to dry.
Since I live in the US, I ordered this online and bought quite a bit of it. Once I run out I might look for a HG moisturizer but until then, this is doing the job. continued >>

I was given this by my dermatologist for moisture while using accutane, I used the Dormer 211 Maximum Moisture lotion and the Dormer 211 Speciale, LOVED both lotions...Excellent moisture, not heavy at all. My face was hardly ever dry on accutane thanks to these products. Will continue to use after I am done accutane as well. The Dormer 211 Special is a great makeup primer as well. HIGHLY recommend these products for anyone with dry skin, usually have to get your pharmacist to order in, but not too pricey, around $12-15, one 110 ml bottle lasted me 4 months.

I like this lotion....for my body. I have KP and it seems to keep those crusty bumps at bay. I love that it's non greasy, unscented (i mean NO SMELL whatsoever) and a little spreads well. For my face, this is a no no. For me, Hyaluronic Acid just makes my skin *freak out*. I had a BAD experience with MaMa Lotion, and thought it was perhaps the Mandelic acid in aforementioned face product, but when I tried this Dormer 211, I saw the beginnings of a bad break out coming on. I really wish I could use this on my face, because of all the great things Hyaluronic Acid is doing for everyone else...but alas, not for my mug.

Great face care basic....I got hooked on Neutrogena Healthy Skin Cream with the retinol but couldn't stomach the 22$CAN expense after realizing that its effectiveness was pretty much gone after a few months. I switched to this one and couldn't be more pleased...truly my combo skin is happy, just the right amount of moisture and almost no flakies happening now...truly reliable stuff.

OK I hate to rain on the parade here but I have a few comments:
THE GOOD: Goes on without a shine, has no fragrance, didn't cause breakouts for me and has great high-end ingredients (hyaluronic acid, leicithin) in relatively large amounts.
THE BAD: This contains diisoproyl adipate which causes major burning for my sensitive skin and caused a rosacea flare-up -- this ingredient is present in Ceptahil SPF 15 and causes burning in that product (not the avobenzone which most people blame for the burning feeling) and also in Nature's Gate Mineral SPF 20 --- all three products produce a similar warm burning
So in summation, if you have dry to normal skin and are NOT rosacea-prone or sensitive, give this a try.

Hmm, what to say about my most favourite skin care item?
Ok, first off I'll say I use the Advanced Maximum Moisture formula (110 ml) but will be trying the one for face and hands in the next few days so I will update on that one as well.
Anyways this is a really thick, creamy moisturizer that is packaged in a nice slim upright tube. I bought mine for about $15 CND at London Drugs, but you can get it at almost all pharmacies/drugstores and there is deals on it sometimes too. I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin (if that makes sense) and so finding a moisturizer that doesn't make my skin go crazy has been really hard. I bought this on a whim because of the great reviews and it's been without a doubt the best thing I bought in a long time. Its been about 4 months now and my skin barely ever breaksout, it stays matte all day, and if I have any flaky dry area this totally erases them. No moisturizer would ever make my makeup look good on top of my dry areas but with this one you'd never knew my skin was dry. I have used this before when my skin was so irritated from another moisturizer I was testing out, and within a few days my skin is calm, clear and super soft.
I could go on forever but seriously I think the only way you can understand how much I love it is by trying it for yourself. With most of the reviews it seems that most people who do never end up using something different. :P
P.S.- If you are not in Canada, try checking out www.well.ca which has most of the products. They ship internationally as well as free shipping in Canada. Woo!
Update Feb 5/2010- I don't still use this product, but it was my favourite for quite a while and I still have to stand by my good review for it. I chronically change my products out of boredom and whatever else, so I won't penalize this product because it really was great!

I have been using this moisturizer for years. I have fairly dry skin and my dermatoligist recommended it about 6 or 7 years ago (and i've been hooked ever since). This product is used in pharmacies (at least it is in canada) to mix topical perscriptions. I apply it twice a day. I mix the one specified for "face and hands" with my foundation and I apply the "advanced maximum moisturizer" before bed. I do not mix the later with my foundation because a weird 'waxy' effect tends to occur. I've tried many other creams and lotions but none have compared to dormer in my opinion. :)

Great product. I have dry sensitive skin and this helped with the premature fine lines I was getting around my mouth.
Worth a try for sure!!!

I am 28 and have normal/sensitive/dry skin prone to redness.
After using cetaphil for a year to simplify my routine, I decided to try dormer 211 after browsing the shelves. I have been using it for 2 weeks now. It leaves my skin clear and matte, yet not dry, just normal and comfortable. It absorbs right in so there is no greasy feeling.
And it seems to calm the redness in my skin.
I need to use a little extra sometimes because of the cold weather.
So far a great product!

I bought this because it was on sale and I've been looking for a moisturizer with HA in it. It is a thicker cream that goes on smoothly without any greasiness. It dries quickly and leaves you looking matte. I love this during the cold winter months in Canada. What a bargan. Great as a primer for makeup. Just wish it had antioxidants in it!
UPDATE: This has apparently been discontinued :(

I started using this moisturizer because my bestfriend when she was on accutane this is what she used and her skin was never dry. I am on a 6 month course of accutane. I'm on my third month now and no dry or peeling skin. You know why??...because of dormer 211. I use the one for face. The official name is Face and Hand cream. I have found my HG face moisturizer. This glides on like a dream, moisturizes so well but without being heavy/greasy. Doesn't clog pores, doesn't irritate my sensitve skin, doesn't make me look oily. This is a fanstatic facial moisturizer and I'm so in love with it. Sometimes I can skip my primer before applying my foundation because this moisturizer is so good. I paid 12 bucks for the tube and I have an extra one because I like to stock up on this. I had a little trouble finding this because its ALWAYS sold out. So when I did I find it... I buy like 3. My dermatoglist said she highly recommends this product. She actually said she loves this product as well. I was a little nervous at first because it has mineral oil in but...mineral oil doesn't clog pores. It also claims this reverses the signs of aging!!
Here are the ingredients:

Since I started wearing moisturizer (at about 12 years old), I have been using Cetaphil. Not by choice, it was more of a default moisturizer. My family used it so it was always there, and I didn't really know or care about any others. It seemed to work fine. But as my skin got oilier (at about 16), Cetaphil just seemed to enhance the oiliness in all the wrong places. So, my search for a better moisturizer began: clean and clear, aveno, neutrogena, olay, dove, St. Ives and, well, pretty much all the moisturizers you can find in a Shoppers Drugmart. The failure of these ones ultimately led to the purchase of higher end, and much more expensive products: la roche posay, lancome, shiseido, clinique, Bobby Brown, DDF.... but those were all worse than cetaphil. Wayyyy worse. I think it was at that point that I just stopped wearing moisturizer altogether. Big mistake, trust me. If you have oily skin, not wearing moisturizer is one of the worst things you can do, right up there with rubbing bacon grease on your face. It may look good right after washing, everyone's does, but after about 20 minutes your skin will be craving the moisture that it's lacking, and spit out oil like no tomorrow.
Well, lucky for me I was introduced to the Dormer line by my dermatologist, and thank GOD for him because this stuff beats cetaphil by a mile and then some. This moisturizer, combined with Dormer's Mint Milk Cleanser (which, btw, has forever replaced my default cleanser: spectrogel) has been an absolute dream. My skin looks fantastic, better than it did when I was 13. Back then I would cake on foundation like you wouldn't believe, just trying to get my skin to look flawless, and get rid of oiliness. These days, I pretty much only wear concealer to achieve a flawless skin look. This moisturizer absorbs into the skin immediately, and creates the smootest skin ever. It doesn't even get oily throughout the day, even when I go to the gym. And from what I've seen it's good for any age. I'm 18 and I love it, my mom (42) uses it and loves it, my brother (21) loves it. Seriously, do yourself a favour and give this line a try!

This is a review for Dormer 211 cream. I purchased this in a stand up tube(110ml) and it states Advanced Maximum Moisturizer with Hyaluronic Acid Complex. I had originally gone seeking Aquaphor which at my Shoppers Drug Mart had to be specially ordered.(I am in Canada) I suppose I could have just gone to another Shoppers and grabbed a big tub but I really wanted a smaller amount to apply to few eczema patches on my face. Anyways, I have always noticed this product on the shelf(near the bottom with the Lac-Hydrin, Uremol etc). Dormer reminds me of Impruv cream which I have used and liked and ROC's Endriyal. I applied the light cream, slightly greasy but non-irritating. It is really helping with the patch(or two) that I currently have on my face. I also applied it on my legs which seem to always be dry unless I apply jojoba oil and Aveeno. Works well on them. I am early 30's, dry, acneic, somewhat sensitive skin. Dormer 211 claims to be fragrance free(cannot detect a scent whatsoever), hypo-allergenic(so far so good) and non-comedogenic(so far so good). There are some ingredients which may be troublesome but for me this has been great. Made by Dormer Laboratories and I am not sure if it is available to those not in Canada. I think this may suit those with psoriasis, dermatitits, eczema, super dry skin etc as it is very emollient/non-irritating.
