I expected so much ,having paid almost 200eur,but i was a bit disappointed,it didnt see any difference.It is a really rich moisturizer ,but for me my normal clinique 30eur eye cream works as well.Maybe if i used it for a longer period it would have worked,but i'd rather have botox the same cost!

Wow what a waste of money....and if you have any sensitivity/allergies it will make your eyes swell up...made from some rare African flower but it should be considered a pesty weed.....I can't believe Chanel is selling this as their premier line....YUCK....I bought it returned it which of course Neiman's acts like their are doing you a favor taking it back!! It was an impulse purchase and would normally purchase Chanel/new product lines at Nordstrom because of their awonderful customer service.

I received a deluxe sample of this and have been using this religiously am and pm for about 5 weeks now. Despite my friend's love for this eye cream, this doesn't do much for me. For sure, I'm going to try something else and will not repurchase, especially at this insane price.
Regarding the eye cream, this is on the emollient side and it does make my eye area looking velvety and smooth for a while. I'm some tiny fine lines under one of my eyes and I can tell they look less apparent with this eye cream before the cream is fully absorbed. Therefore I don't think it helps to reduce fine lines... To be honest, I'm doubtful if there is an eye cream that can really reduce fine lines, instead of filling them with silicones or other ingredients for an illusion.
As for dark circles, I cannot see any improvement and I somehow think that they look worse. I'm not sure if this is my health or this eye cream though for sure, it won't reduce mine.
This is decently moisturizing enough for my Sahara eye area. I need a second eye cream though I can get away with this alone if the humidity isn't too low. If you don't have very very dry eye area, this alone may be enough for you.
Another problem is that it doesn't help my concealer to sit under my eyes better, or probably worse. Fyi, I'm using Cle de Peau's concealer. Can you imagine my concealer looks better on unmoisturized skin than with this?
Honestly, I'm disappointed with this eye cream, esp it comes from one of my favourite brands. It's not even an average eye cream for me, sadly.

Fortunately for me, but unfortunately for my wallet, this product works wonders on my eye area. I've gone through many an eye cream and regular moisturizers around my eye area, but Chanel's sublimage eye cream has significantly reduced my fine lines and lightened my dark circles in the two months I've been using it this far. It's thick but you need very little, so I imagine the jar lasting a year or more even with twice daily usage. In my mind that eases the $200US price tag a bit, but if you don't want to commit to a full jar sample tubes are easy to get from Chanel counters (if the SAs are nice and generous) and/or eBay. Jars don't bother me so the packaging isn't an issue, and the vanilla scent is soft and not overpowering. Would be HG if it wasn't so out of my price comfort zone.

I just purchased my second jar of Sublimage Eye... I love it! Very rich and moisturizing. It is a bit expensive (I get it at The Bay for $190), but it lasts forever. I bought my last jar 8 months ago and still have enough left in it for another month or so... now that I think about it, I spend more on Starbucks coffee and it does absolutely nothing for my skin, lol. You don't need to use a lot because it is very thick and luxurious. I'm not sure I would spend the money if I were in my early 20's, but now that I'm 34 I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy something that works so well.

I've REALLY come to love how much this moisturizes my entire eye area and have actually bought some more sample tubes, BUT, I got them at a REALLY good price from someone who got them as a GWP and wasn't using them. I stand by what I said below. The ingredients do NOT qualify this product for a $200 price range. I just find it well moisturizing and non irritating around my sensitive eye area. A LOT of creams irritate around my eyes. But this really doesn't do anything for my dark circles And there aren't any ingredients in it that would. But I do like the cream. I just would never pay anywhere near full price for it.
7/29/11 EDIT: This IS REALLY moisturizing and gentle around my eye, the product is really growing on me....not $200 a 1/2 ounce bottle worth of growing but 4 lippie growing, so it gets 4 lippies.
I like Chanel Sublimage Eye Cream. But then again, I'd like any eye cream that has the first two listed ingredients: water and glycerin. Water is always a good base and glycerin always plumps up, minimizes lines and really alleviates dry areas while being non-irritating. Then again, it's also incredibly cheap and not worth putting out $200 for a 1/2 ounce bottle of it, even if it's by Chanel and they've added some exotic form of vanilla. Exotic or not, vanilla oil is just vanilla oil and, while an excellent moisturizer and anti-oxident in it's own right,again, not worth putting out $200 for a 1/2 ounce jar.
Now, I have for years used Avon's Moisture Therapy Hand Cream. It has an excellent glycerin base (as does Chanel's Sublimage Eye Cream) and little fragrance. You can actually dot this hand cream under your eyes and get releif from dryness and a plumping effect of the under-eye area and fine lines disappear. Why? It's glycerin based, it does that. For $3.99 a tube (a 3 ounce tube). So WHY pay $200 for a 1/2 jar (lovely jar though) of basically the same thing? Add a few drops of vanilla oil to Avon's Moisture Therapy hand Cream, you've got the same thing.
There are some products out there that actually hold moisture in a little better for much longer, but these contain hyaluronic acid. Chanel Sublimage does not, ROC does (plus ROC contains retinol), And ROC undereye treatments cost about $20 (or a little less at Walgreens)
So, while I intend to use up my sample of Chanel sublimage (and I do like it), I don't intend to buy it. And this comes from a woman who generally loves all things Chanel. Well, all fashions and fragrances anyway. I am not really sold on their skincare or makeup.
Now, an aside on the jar. It's adorable but not practical. It's clunky, o.k. for the one's boudior but impractical to carry around. And it is not very hygenic. I would prefer if it came in a tube, much more hygenic and practical for carrying around with one.
Overall, this is one Chanel product which I cannot recommend. Save your $$$ and get the ROC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Filler with Retinol and Hyaluronic Acid.

I have rosacea hyper-sensitive skin and eyes. I didn't think I'd like the Chanel creams. They are a line which, to me focuses on more on elegance over gentleness. However, the Sublimage is one of the creamiest and gentlest eye creams I have found. It does not sting, and keeps the eye area nicely hydrated. Worth $200? I could actually justify that because it would easily last a year. However, I do not like the fact it comes in a jar,not a tube (bacteria issues), so I have been content to purchase sample tubes off Ebay. Much easier to work with, and within the realm of affordability, too.

They say this should last six months.. So if it does at $200 it really costs $33 a month... Which for a decent eye cream is a deal. I've been trying a lot of eye creams as I tend to get puffy eyes and also have dry skin.. Sublimage hydrates and I have noticed that my eyes aren't as puffy after a few weeks. I wouldn't say this eye cream turns back the hands of time.. But it's pretty great.

No matter how hard I try, I cannot find an eye cream as creamy and hydrating as this. Every eye cream I try irritates my eyes, this does not. I am sure this isn't worth $200 but I like it and I buy it once every twelve months so in the long haul the price isn't an issue. I like to think this is delaying the signs of age by simply providing hydration, it also contains a peptide or two so that can't hurt. Cannot comment on the anti-aging properties because that is not my focus. But if you want hydration and no irritation this should be a safe bet.

This eye treatment seems very average. I'm in my early 20s and use eye creams for prevention, but this didn't really hydrate or wow me in any other ways. Furthermore, though Chanel touts some "magical" vanilla extract, the ingredients are mostly preservatives, artificial fragrance, waxes, oils and other synthetics--nothing particularly effective nor worth the steep price tag. It didn't burn my skin or cause any other sort of damage, but I found absolutely no reason to buy this.

This undereye cream is just average. I got a sample of it when I purchased my Blanc Essential Night cream and I've been applying it religiously every night for the last 4-5 months, but my undereye dark circles don't seem to be going away at all. I wouldn't purchase this very highly expensive eye cream.

I have used this for two weeks and it's very hydrating for my eyes and my wrinkles seem to be subsiding.
I got this on the fab Coco Rouge New Lipstick launch makeover at Nordstroms that coincided with the fabulous spending spree 4 days prior to my birthday. It was a gift with purchase and 4 ml is sufficient for trial.
Please note I use Retinol on my eyes as well per my dermatologist advice. It dried out my eyes . . . as is known to happen before it gets better. I have used just about every eye cream and this is just about the best due to the wrinkles subsiding. It doesn't reduce puffiness. Erno Laszlo antioxidant reduces puffiness. Puffiness off and on leads to wrinkles. . . so it is a toss up whether or not I would buy it again, but so far, so love.

I got a deluxe sample of this as a GWP. There's no way I'd plunk down $200 for a jar of it. it's a nice eye cream and I'm using it and I like it. It's very emollient-- I find that if I use too much it kind of sits on top of my skin rather than soaking in. It's too rich for somebody with as oily skin as I have. But if you've got dry skin and want to spend way too much money on skin care you might be pleased with this.

Wow. How awful. I have so much milia under my eye thanks to this. It hydrates well. Didn't do a thing for dark circles, or my two fine lines. What an awful investment. Chanel skincare sucks. I have wasted so much money. Do not buy, unless you can tolerate heavy eye creams and want to spend $200 for mere hydration.

I don't know how well this product works as an anti-wrinkle eye cream since I'm not dealing with those issues yet but I loved Sublimage Eye as an under-eye moisturizer. I have read reviews where people stated it helped reduce dark circles and puffiness, but I felt like this product made my eyes even puffier, especially in the morning. I actually debated purchasing it again just to use in the PM even though it's way out of my price range and I wasn't satisfied with its overall performance but, as you can see, I decided not to.
My advice to prospective buyers is this: If you're older than thirty and have the money to spend, give it a shot. A little of this product goes a long way (my deluxe .13oz sample lasted several months) and it is really reallly really hydrating as an under-eye cream.
But, if you're like me and you're not worried about wrinkles yet and you can't afford to throw $175 at something you're not absolutely in love with, there are probably better eye creams out there for you (and if you find one, let me know, I have been searching for years!).

It did nothing for the new fine lines that are forming around my eyes. The packaging is pretty but it seems that most of the $200 went into that and not the product itself. It seems to moisturize and that's about it. No magical reversing fine lines at all which is what it should do and more for the hefty pricetag. Moving on to La Mer next. Skip this one if you're looking to minimize fine lines.

Wow. I was so excited to purchase this. I had a lot of money at the time and it was the prefect oppurtunity to splurge. I am only 18, and do not have fine lines or anything, I do have some dark circles, but nothing horrible. Everyone has a little dark under there eyes. So I was contemplating buying this or the Sublimage Cream, and I convinced myself that the cream was not suitable for my age or my skin condition, since I have no problem with age right now. I went to Saks and asked the woman for Sublimage eye. I was SOOOOOOO escited to open the box. I know I am a dork. The packaging is to die for. A beautiful glossy gold box, then there is another box, that holds the cream. It looked like it should be in a museum, I did not want ti touch it, but I did, right there in the parking lot, I opened the cap, unraveled, the silver seal and examined the cream, i smelt it, however, there is NO smell. Which IS good, but I was hoping for a lovely vanilla scent. The star ingrediant the Vanilla Planifolia oil is actually pretty high on the list. I dont know if its as magical as they say it is but, who knows. It comes with a beautiful spatula, that i did use the first couple applications, but it just became too hard to use because of the tiny amount needed for application, so i just use my ring finger to get the cream out. I warm the small amount of cream in between both ring fingers and then I apply it to my eye, starting under the eye then working in a circular motion all around the eye. Not heavy, greasy or cakey. Just a light and great texture. I use it day and night. My eyes are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO soft, its ridiculous. I cannot stop touching. I have been watching these TWO incredibly faint lines right up where my eyeball is to see if it will make them disappear. It hasnt yet, but I actually think these lines are supposed to be on my eyes. It reduced puffiness as well. It brightens eyes instantly, one would think there are light reflectors, but there are none that I can see. Incredible. It is very expensive, 200 dollars for half an ounce, but it seems there is so much cream that I will never finish it. If you go to the counter and purchase something, you could ask for a sample and that little sample jar should last you about four months. I bought this on wim, had never tried it, but I am glad I did buy this. I thnk this will be a fantastic preventative measure against crows feet. Keeps eyes so hydrated. I have been consistant with usage, sometimes I slack with eye creams. Im sure I could find something just as nice for a cheaper price, but i dont want to haha, i love this stuff. TRY IT.

I was so lucky to swap for the full size $200 jar of this incredible eye cream....for that matter the entire sublimage line is wonderful for women of a certain age. I have been using this faithfully for one month 2x a day and have to say it is by far the best eye cream I have tried. I have super sensitive eye lids to breakout and have had nothing so far. A tiny amount of this eye cream lightly spread last most of the day. At 52 I have a few eye under eye problems: lines and dark circles and I have noticed a difference especially with lines.The vanilla scent is subtle - the hint of vanilla does not irritate eyes at all and is not overly sweet....more a pure vanilla. This jar will last a year as all you need is a tiny amount.

I don't own the full size of this product but many many samples.The reason that I don't own the full size is because I don't believe in eye creams and plus this product is super expencive.So this is the eye cream from the sublimage line and comes in a super luxurious jar that I m not so happy with that for 2 reason:1) it's ridiculously big and heavy for an eye cream and 2) I m not sure if the packaging can hold fresh and most important ACTIVE the ingredients.And this is one more reason that I don't own the full size because the samples come in small tubes and the tube I think is slightly better from an open jar.This has creamy texture and quite thick but for my dry eye area is ok.The main reason that I like this product is because it's quite thick and moisturizes well and my eye area needs that,other than that hasn't done a thing for my eye area my few fine lines are still there and everything is the same with or without this product.The scent is very discreet also.Goes on allmoste like a butter and really pumpers the eye area
