My skin (combination all seasons but winter) had started to flake - even my t-zone - and I tried EVERYTHING I owned but nothing worked. Finally spent this huge amount of $$ for this, but within a day my skin was much improved. Yes, I'll buy this again. Also bought the ultimate night moisturizer. They feel a little heavy going on, but melt into my skin and provide me with exactly the moisture I was missing. :)

My Doctor gave me three tube samples of this to try because my skin has become sensitive and reactive this winter. So far I like it. It's very thick and can be hard to spread around. But I found that if I spread it on right after my toner and before my skin has dried it goes on much smoother. It makes my skin Extremely soft and after using for about 3 days, I noticed that my skintone was more even and looked much more hydrated. I like the original Kinerase lotion better for day use, especially in the summer but this is working out very well for the harsh winter. It seems to put a nice barrier on my skin to guard against the biting wind. I do believe there are silicones in this which seem to sooth and smooth my skin making my makeup go on much better. I have not been using it long enough to see any anti-aging benefits yet, but I know that the kinerase lotion was awesome when I used it a few years ago (It's just so damn expensive!). I'm now at the point where I think that the Kinerase line might be the right way for me to go in order to protect my sensitive and delicate skin.

This is probably the most expensive face cream I've bought for a long time and I have to say I am quite disappointed. My skin is dry and mature and this cream doesn't deliver enough moisture. I find I need to use quite a lot, when it spreads it seems to dry out very quickly and after a few hours my skin is feeling tight.

Got this as a sample. It's an okay moisturizer, nothing particularly good or bad. It's not too greasy or thick or thin or irritating. It's just okay, nothing special for the price.

I am on the 2nd large tube (2.8 oz) of the kinerase ultimate day moisturizer and am still loving it. It has made my skin look so smooth; it definitely has improved my skin tone. Although it is a rich cream I still use it daily in the morning. I do use a sunscreen (shiseido ultimate lotion spf 55) that has a mattifying effect. Together, they two cream makes my face look radiant. My skin is combination, sensitive and also acne prone, and the kinerase has not caused break-out.

I received this as a sample from Sephora- thankfully I didn't purchase this for it's retail price! I've always had my eye on Kinerase products, but never wanted to fork out the money. I tried this moisturizer today and the first thing I noticed was the texture. It felt a little silicone-ey, but I liked how it felt between my fingers. BUT it's another story when I actually put it on- the minute I applied this to my face I wanted to take it off! It was so hard to spread, so I had to apply a lot of product. It felt very heavy on my skin and it was sticky for a long time. It took somewhere between 15-30 minutes for this moisturizer to dry, or at least for the stickiness to wear off. I'm touching my face now and it does feel soft and moisturized, which is a +. But I just can't see myself using this during the daytime, since It's listed as a daytime moisturizer. However, as a night cream this would be fine. I really wish I could give this a 3.5. As a day moisturizer = 1 star. A night cream = 5 stars. It *does* leave you with soft, moisturized, flake-less skin. But it *also* has a thick, sticky texture and takes a long time to fully sink in. And as a day moisturizer with a hefty price tag, I would at least expect some SPF.

I never thought I'd be writing a Kinerase review, because I never saw myself shelling out the *outrageous* amount of money they charge for their products. But alas, that's before I received a deluxe sample of this from Sephora and became hopelessly hooked on this product. I have a terrible time finding skincare products. My once oily, super-sensitive and acne-prone skin is now combination (oily t-zone, normal to slightly dry everywhere else), but still prone to occasional breakouts and even more sensitive than before. I have used DHC products for years and still love them, but during the winter, I find that my skin now gets very irritated, red and flaky. Everything I tried either didn't moisturize enough where I needed it, or broke my face out into angry, itchy welts or acne. When I received the deluxe sample, I was at my wits-end with my winter skin. I'd already mentally decided that this moisturizer was probably too rich and would break me out, but my skin was so red and itchy that I was willing to do anything to soothe the dryness. What surprised me first was that while yes, the moisturizer was definitely heavier and thicker than what I was used to using, after 2 hours, my skin felt hydrated, and I wasn't having an allergic reaction to the product. After a few days of use, I hadn't broken out in a rash, didn't have any acne, and felt that my skin was smoother and softer than it had been in months. When my sample went dry after 10 days, I bit the bullet and bought the tube. Do I think $125 is outrageous for a moisturizer? You bet I do. But I can't find anything that works for my crazy skin during the cold and dry season like this product does. I use about a pea-sized squirt of this in the morning under my makeup and sunscreen. It doesn't make my skin oily, even though it's a bit heavy; instead, it hydrates and balances my skin nicely, and I'm using a lot less foundation these days because my skin is smooth and less red. I still get the occasional hormonal acne breakout, but this product doesn't exacerbate the problem, and actually helps to counter the drying effects of my BHA acne spot treatment. I subtracted 1 lippie because this product doesn't contain any sunscreen at all; I would love it if Kinerase would release a version that contained sunscreen, as that would save me an extra step in the morning (and for $125, they sure as heck could afford to). I will probably switch back to my DHC moisturizer once the weather turns warmer, as this product will probably be too heavy, but for treating my cranky winter skin, this product is currently my favorite.

At first, I really liked this product because I thought my skin looked brighter and more even in texture. However, after using this consistently for 2 months, my skin began to look dull and too dry. This didn't deliver as expected.

Being a huge fan of the original Kinerase Cream, I had to try this newest version. The only small prob I had with the original was that it sometimes wasn't moisturizing enough. This version is much more potent according to the label and it does add much more moisture than the original. I wore this under my makeup today and it did not make my skin oily nor too moist and my makeup slid on beautifully. I honestly don't see the difference between this and the night version, but wow how it makes your skin look and feel. Great stuff!

Update**I am afraid that this was too much of a good thing. Within a few weeks after using this every day, my skin began to feel dry and get super pink. There wasn't any irritation per se, but my skin looked dull and dry. Too bad, the original worked so well.

My current everyday moisturizer. Does feel like a mask initially but absorbed a minute later leaving a soft matt finish. Moisturizing well without causing irritations. No breakouts either! Best moisturizer I've found so far (tried tons before). Update: somehow my face became sensitive to this after a month, lots of redness and peeling.
