this lotion is a must have for me. it is extremely moisturizing. after showering i rub this into my skin and it leaves my skin feeling great. i like the scent as well. i use an egyptian musk oil and it mixes with the true coconut scent. i also use this in my hair. every time i rub this into my hands i scrunch this into my hair to keep my curls moisturized. it is vey effective as a moisturizer. i have been using this lotion ever since an ex-boyfriend introduced me to this two years ago. i have turned a few friends onto it as well.

Of all products I've ever tried, this is probably my favorite. For over five years this was the ONLY moisturizer I ever put on my face. Recently, I've been experimenting with jojoba oil and hemp seed oil, but I keep coming back to this. It hydrates my skin, gives it a nice glow, smells lovely, and does not clog my pores (I've read that coconut oil can clog pores for some people, and this stuff has coconut oil in it, so it wouldn't hurt to be cautious if you ever find yourself trying this out). My mom has been using this stuff since she was little. She's 50 now, has been a heavy smoker most of her life, but her skin is to die for. She does nothing to it but wash and uses this as a moisturizer. I doubt that I'll ever be without this stuff. And yes, when I wash my face at the end of the day, some twelve hours after applying my Skin Trip, I can still smell the coconut.

It softens my skin and keeps it soft. Unfortunately it contains dimethicone. Although dimethicone is an effective skin barrier, my skin hates it. So does my scalp and hairline (hair products containing dimethicone) because I break out in little itchy bumps. I was hoping this lotion wouldn't, and fortunately it doesn't. It has a true coconut (no pineapple or flowers) scent with some sweetness. I love layering it with my Kiehl's Original Musk Oil for a sexy coco-musk. It loses a lippy for being a 'natural' that isn't.

I love love love this lotion. It has the most wonderful and natural coconut scent. I have tried many other products in coconut and most of them smelled like plastic or something totally artificial (too sweet for example).
Mountain Ocean gets this scent totally right. I have actually been using this stuff for years. I tend to wear it more in the winter when the scent of it will take me back to warm days walking on the beach in Hawaii.

My mom had been using this lotion for years before I was born, and introduced it to me when I was a preteen. I loved it - mainly for the smell. It must be said though, I have never met a coconut-scented product that I didn't like. But this is unlike other coconut scents I have smelled - it's milkier and not overly sweet, which I really love. This is a great moisturizer for summer, those who just need something light, and/or those who really don't like having to work a product into their skin for twenty minutes, because this sinks in quickly. It's perfect for when you're in a rush. As other reviewers have noted, the fragrance lasts all day, so that's great if you enjoy the scent. It does last a long time, but I don't find it to be cloying at all. For me, however, I often need a heavier moisturizer, especially during the winter months. Also, I have become a member of the ingredients police over the years, and this product is not as "all natural" as I once assumed it was. I prefer anything that sinks into my skin to be as natural as possible. But overall, I really enjoy this product, and would repurchase it again and again for the nostalgia factor alone.

Is it a nice moisturiser? Yes! Is it as natural as you might hope? No. But, its a nice body moisturiser and Ill easily use it up. Would I repurchase? Not in a hurry.
The smell is....so odd. I was expecting a natural coconut scent not this that smells like my legs have been fried in sesame oil!

Smells like vanilla plus coconut which somehow ends up like root beer! Not sticky or fake. Will try on entire bod.

Perfect. If you like sweet but soft coconut with a hint of vanilla, give this a try. My skin responds very well to lanolin, and this light feeling lotion absorbs quickly, moisturizes my skin beautifully and does not clog my pores (I can get acne ANYWHERE). The fragrance lasts all day, a plus or minus depending of how much you like it...

Good heavens, do I love this stuff. I first read about it on Intothegloss.com-it seems every beauty editor has it in her bathroom cabinet. The first time I used it, I wasn't impressed. I wanted a Coppertone-type smell, something that replicated that aggressively coconuty suntan lotion smell.
This is very subtle, almost unrecognizable as a coconut scent-I'm not sure WHAT it smells like. I didn't think I liked it, but I kept reaching for it, and before I knew it, the bottle was almost gone, and I never finish stuff.
It's not excessively moisturizing nor long lasting, but there's something about it-I'm totally obsessed with it! It's super cheap at luckyvitamin.com or vitacost.com-around 7 dollars for a decent sized bottle.

Pleasantly surprised by this lotion. I bought it on a whim while shopping at Whole Foods.
In terms of moisturizing, it does a fantastic job, especially when applied to damp skin. I use it on my body as well as my face - no breakouts so far even though pure coconut oil (one of the main ingredients in this lotion) usually breaks me out like crazy. The consistency is thin but not watery, making application a breeze. Sinks in fast, leaves a slight film that is not greasy nor sticky.
The smell - yes, I do sense coconuts, but mostly sandalwood. Anyway, the smell is gorgeous. It does become boring after a while and it's rather hard to combine with any typical "summer" perfumes, but I don't use this lotion everyday so I don't consider it a problem.
The price is a little steep, considering you have to pull 10 bucks out of your pocket for 8 oz. of product that doesn't last very long, but the quality of this lotion is really very good, so IMO it's worth it.
It does contain a silicone, but I could care less, my hair hates silicones, my skin doesn't give a damn. I like this lotion and will repurchase.

I adore this lotion! It is a luxury purchase, but worth it. I use it on my arms, shoulders, and chest, and then use something less awesome for the rest of me. Like another reviewer, I treat this as fragrance, and ALWAYS use it if I'm going on a date. Great product!

Texture isn't thick, but this moisturizes like an oil, which is to say--GREAT! My skin is very thirsty (I actually scrub with an oil in lieu of soap, to give you an idea), and this stuff feels so awesome. Protective feeling on the skin plus serious moisture.
The smell? Barf. Hate it. Like a middleschool cheerleader. I'll get over it though, because my skin loves it so much.

This is one of the best body products ever, provided you like the smell of coconuts.
It's texture is whisper-light, truly fluid, because it doesn't contain the nasty, waxy emulsifiers and thickeners most lotions have. It's just pure moisture which lasts all day long and leaves the skin gorgeously lustrous but not at all greasy.
I am also a total fragrance maniac and love using CST as a fragrance layer. You can do it with almost anything that makes sense, but when you put it on under a veil of Virgin Island Water or Carnal Flower...WOW!
It really is a fantastic product- Works well, easy to find, and very affordable. Don't we wish there were more products that could say all that?!

This light lotion is a bit runny, but smells fantastic and absorbs nicely. The scent is a true coconut scent, not pina colada-y as other lotions labeled as "coconut" might smell like. It does feel a bit greasy when initially applied but once absorbed, there is no greasy residue. My skin feels really soft and supple after application. I would treat this as more of a luxury lotion in terms of the quantity you get for the price ($8 for 8 fl. oz.), but it's a high quality product and is definitely something I would buy again.

I was so excited to try this as all the HG reviews and one of my favorite reviewers raved about it as well. So as soon as I went to Whole Foods, I demand the Mountain Ocean lotion. Kinda has a ring to it lol
This is a great product. Really doesn't smell fake at all. While, I'm definitely a rose type of person in regards to scents, that made me realize that there are a lot of artificial type smelling things. But this is not at all.
Hey, I live in Hawaii, and my dad cracked a genuine coconut right in front of my face, so if anybody knows what real coconut smells like, it's me! lol
It's organic, it's decently priced, smells great, moisturizes swimmingly, and has a light, clean feel. what's not to love?
Definitely keeping this around, and buying more when it runs out.

This lotion is great! It is on the thin side, but works really well. The coconut scent is exactly what I've been looking for. It smells closer to real coconut, but a little vanilla. It really is very moisturizing and the scent lingers for hours after I've applied it. I'm moving, so I hope I can find this at a local store or else I'll have to order online. I highly recommend trying Skin Trip!

The lotion is runny but moisturizers well. I don't get the amazing coconut scent that most of the reviewers get. I get vegetable oil with a hint of natural coconut. It's just alright and it is pretty pricey.

I purchased this lotion after reading the good reviews and I am so happy I did! I have keratosis pilaris (chicken skin) on my arms and I had yet to find a lotion that would help my skin. Everything I tried was either to heavy and sticky or not moisturizing enough. This was an answer to my prayers! It hasn't cured the bumps on the back of my arms by any means but it smooths them and makes them less red/purple and noticeable. It is really runny, but a little goes a long way. It's not heavy, greasy, sticky, or tacky at all. It gives my arms and legs a nice sheen and is really moisturizing and I don't have to reapply! It is light but moisturizing and absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it baby soft. It also doesn't transfer onto your clothes, which is plus. The smells is the perfect blend of coconut smell IMO, not like suntan lotion, but not the fake sweet smell either and it's not overpowering, just leaves a nice lingering scent I can smell a little throughout the day. It is pricey but well worth it to me. I highly recommend!

I love coconut...the smell, the taste, and as a snow cone. So take this as a review from someone who probably was destined to love this. It gas lots of good things in it from a moisturizing standpoint, and smells like real coconut. I love it and use it often. It goes a long way, and sinks in well on my skin. I love it!!!
