I'm trying to branch out there and experiment with different cleansers out there and wanted to try something a little more natural. =] This is definitely and extremely gentle cleanser. I did not feel it did anything significant with my skin however so I'm not sure if I'll be repurchasing. It claims to even skin tone, but I didn't see any change, even after using this for a few months now. The pump function is very handy. It has a light oceany fragrance, I suppose from the marine complexes and sea lettuce. It does not help to remove makeup very well even considering I don't even wear that much but oh well. My skin feels really soft after using this which is nice. Nothing again this cleanser really, it's just not HG status for me, so I'll continue searching for what else is out there

PROS: Helps stimulate cell regeneration to help correct uneven tone. Light fragrance that reminds me of the beach (but not in a yucky sunblock smell way.) It sort of smells like the ocean in a good way. (Sorry I'm not good at describing scents. ;-) Natural ingredients.
CONS: This wouldn't be good for oily skin, but they have a cleansing gel for that.
ALTERNATES: When my skin is more sensitive, I use Olay Sensitive Skin Foaming Face Wash. For gentle but effective skin lightening, I love Dr. Lewinn by Kinerase Skin Tone Perfecting Syndrome.

I have been using this cleanser religiously for a couple years now and am happy with the results. It gets my skin nice and clean without stripping all moisture away (I have combination skin and in the winter, it tends to get very dry). I subtract one lippie because this cleanser is not good at removing eye makeup and so I still have to use a separate eye makeup remover.

I never would have considered buying this product until my esthetician told me that counterintuitively cleansers that stripped my skin of moisture would make my sebaceous glands produce even more moisture to compensate. So I use this product only in the evening to prepare my skin for retinol night cream. I follow with the Alba sea-kelp toner and I'm really happy with the results. Even though I have acne-prone skin this does not aggravate it and indeed cutting out products that strip my skin of its lipid barrier has given me less oily skin. Also, this is what i wash my face with at the gym so that I'm not washing my face with a harsher cleanser 4-5 times in one day. So I have repurchased this product and will continue to use it. The price is good for the quality of the products, and if you shop around you can find these at lower prices, surprisingly Whole Foods has these at a cheaper price than Duane Reade and Health Food Stores. Great product, love the pump, it travels well and has yet to make a mess in my gym bag like that toner has haha!

I was excited to try this product but after using it for a little while I couldn't wait for it to run out so I could buy something new (I try not to be wasteful and this is a $12 face cleanser). The thing that bugged me most about this cleanser is that it never seemed to get my makeup off. I don't wear a ton of makeup (mineral poweder, mascara, a little eyeliner and shadow) but this cleanser always left a bit of residue on my face and racoon eyes. I got so tired of this that I just splurged on Purity by Philosohy and I can't tell you what a difference there is between these two cleansers. Overall, I would skip this cleanser unless you don't wear makeup and have very, very dry skin.

When I bought this cleanser, I meant to buy more of the Sea Lettuce Cleansing Gel which I had used up. This is a perfectly decent cleanser, and I would recommend it for someone with dry skin, but for my normal/somewhat oily skin I prefer something a bit stronger. Also, because this does not foam at all, I use more product each time I wash my face. I've been using this twice a day for the past month and a half and have practically run out. The same sized bottle of the gel lasted me at least twice as long. Also, I prefer the scent of the gel, but this stuff smells fine.

Basic cleanser, but good for the price. I don't wear makeup so I'm not sure how well this picks off makeup, but it picks up most of the dirt on my face. But I did not give it 5 lippies because when I visited NYC in the summer, all the nasty stuff in the air got caught on my face and did not come off completely with this cleanser. Thankfully the toner (also from Alba) helped to clean the remaining dirt. But since I normally live in fog and clean air, this works okay.
What I like is that it wasn't drying on my skin so I didn't have to use moisturizer on certain days. It doesn't foam either, which makes it easier to rinse off too. If I'm on a budget, I'll come back to this (I buy it from an online discount site for cheaper), but I'm planning to change to a stronger cleanser.

I love this! I've been using it for a few weeks, and it wasn't a "wow, gee" experience the first time I used it, but now i'm totally sold. It takes some getting used to, since it doesn't foam or anything, but my skin looks beautiful. It's been so dry out this winter; this has totally fixed my dry skin. Also, no breakouts since I've started using it.

this was the best thing i have ever used on my face. it completely tamed all of my acne and was so natural and gentle. it was so creamy and smooth yet not too much for my oily skin. it's really hard to find in stores. when i bought it, ti was 1/2 off so i bought 2 bottles of it. i wish i had bought more. so worth the money.

I got this on sale at a discount store for $4.99 (orig $9.95) so I was really excited to try it. I love it! it doesn't dry my skin out at all but still gives it a nice fresh clean feeling. Smooth texture and a nice scent. I love all the natural ingredients that are in it, and the pump bottle is convenient. It's also 100% vegetarian and no animal testing! :)

I like this cleanser. The fragrance is negligable, it actually cleans my face and doesn't leave a greasy or noticable film, it's not too drying, and it's dirt cheap at VitaCost (sometimes offered with additional discounts if it's paired with another item from the same line).

When I see "cleansing milk" as a product name, I'm thinking mild. I was absolutely shocked when this burned on application! I have been using their gel cleanser which I like, but wanted something for the drier months. I tried it twice, and got the same reaction both times. I have combination skin, so it was really unusual for me to react in this way. Edit: I also wrote to Alba twice requesting some additional information and haven't heard back (in 3 weeks).

Interesting product, I tried it out for about 2 weeks. I really like oil based cleansers, and it says it's formulated for dry&sensitive types (me all over), but it caused mild irritation, and left me drier than I was expecting. I'm sure this will work for someone, and I'm glad to see that oil-based, non-foaming cleansers are becoming more mainstream and destigmatized (means more choices!) but this fell just slightly short. At least it wasn't terribly expensive. continued >>

I've been using this for about a month now, in conjunction with other more natural face care methods. Before making the switch my skintone was uneven, and my chin and forehead were always broken out.
Now I use this product, an ACV toner (ACV and green tea) and a honey/brown sugar scrub twice a week. My skin has greatly improved. It's not perfect, but it is smoother, more even and less broken out. I'm still getting rid of some face problems (I had a number of flesh colored bumps from other products that usually turn into zits before leaving my face...so I'm dealing with those) but nothing new has come up all month.
I will definately continue to follow the routine I have going now. My skin looks much better than it has in a long time. This seems to work for my sens. combo acne prone skin.
*EDIT* - Well I've knocked this down to two lippies. They changed the formula and all my skin problems came roaring back. Thanks for nothing Alba.

If you can stand the scent, this is a decent cleanser. I like the texture and it's not too drying, but I don't feel like it really did anything for my skin.
