I wanted this to work so badly, but it absolutely did nothing for me. I have extremely oily skin, and it ATE this powder. Within an hour or two, as well. I jumped through a couple of hoops to get a hold of this stuff, so I hoped it would be worth it, but I've gotten better results with plain old rice powder or something like Dream Matte. The container is also terrible, and I get powder everywhere when I'm using this. This is just a big no for me.

For anyone whose skin also eats through this stuff, try aloe vera gel as a primer, and setting foundation with rice powder + UD All Nighter. This combo has given me the best results so far, after 5ish years of trying every damn mattifier on the market, from Milk of Magnesia to Chanel.

I like Kryolan as a brand as find some of there products excellent quality and value, however I can't say this product worked for me, I get a very oily t-zone and this powder had no real benefits or staying power over other brands that I have used. Currently my favourite is the amazingly cheap Natural Collection Loose Powder in Neutral Translucent from Boots, looks scarily orange in the pot but goes on fine and controls my oil the best I have found so far.

My skin used to be very dry, but I started a new medication that started to make it more on the combination side, and my nose area started to get quite oily. This has become my setting powder of choice. I could see why it may give others a greyish or white cast if applied too liberally, but because my skin is ghostly white already, it doesn't make too much of a difference to me. I find this powder controls oil much better than any other powder I have tried, and I would definitely repurchase!

Where has this been all my life? especially in my teens- this would have been so lovely to have. Oily ladies, this product is a miracle. Your makeup will look freshly applied all day, and who doesn't want that? I have been devoted to MAC Blot Powder for about a year, however- I would hit pan within a month with daily usage. I was tired of always repurchasing it- and decided to try this out. Firstly, you get so much product! I only paid $16.00 online for this (from CRC cosmetics with my MUA discount) and I cannot be happier. After priming, I apply this before my face makeup. After foundation and concealer I apply this with a cotton puff, concentrating on my T-zone. I do find this leaves a very slight white cast- but afterwards I follow through with MAC Studio Fix Powder, or Physicians Formula Talc-Free powder (since they have pigmentation) I then spritz with Fix + and apply a bit more on my T-zone again (I wouldn't rec. this unless you get very oily) .....then I'm set :) I get 8-9 hrs of wear with this, and that's when my skin starts to look 'dewy' not oily and shiny. At the dewy stage, I'm usually back at home for the day- but when I wanted to see what would happen- at 11 hrs of wear, I only needed a light touch up (but again, it looked more dewy) .....I am beyond thrilled with this product, and I would highly suggest to anyone who has to deal with oil, or if you simply want that freshly applied look all day. I still have my Blot Powder, but only keep it in my purse as my compact :P and if I might have to touch up on a summery day. The only downside to the product is the packaging, its not convenient to take with you- but you honestly don't need to. An amazing gem <3

*Update*

I just wanted to add that this stuff is still working for me, and is truly life changing- might sound a bit cheesy since its makeup, but it truly did. I love how this product will make my foundation last ALL DAY. I can apply my makeup at 9am, and by 6pm I am not the least bit oily. I never have to touch up anymore, which saves me money. I used to have to buy a MAC Blot powder 1X a month, and it still wasn't anywhere near as amazing as this :) I truly wish I had this all these years- the amount of $$ I spent on primers, and 'long lasting' foundations- it must be hundreds. I can use any primer now, and not get oily at all. Ladies, you must try this if you battle with oily skin- it will not let you down! continued >>

this product would last a life time! it does really help with the shine. I believe no product can stop the shine completely but this one really extend the time that i stay matte for longer hours. it feels like starch, but very light weight and doesnt leave your skin white.

Where would I be without it! Definitely HG stuff right here. The sheer amount you get in a jar is just crazy for the price ($25 from eBay). Very simple, it does what it says it does and keeps on keeping on with the oil absorption for most of the day. Best applied with the velvet puff it comes with, pressing it into your t-zone, applying with a brush will only give a light oil control effect for the rest of the ace if needed.

If you have oily skin you NEED to buy this. Nothing does it better than this product!

I have been a lurking MUAer for a year and this is my first review. Nothing else inspired me to write. I have ridiculously oily skin... nothing u probably have encoutered. For example I wash my face and within 2 hours I will have to blot.... with 2 oil blotting sheets. And they are both usually soaked. Products tried so far : Peter thomas roth anti shine gel (brilliant finish does not last beyond 2-3 hours), Clinique oil control pore minimizer (minimizes pores but lasting power is probably 3 hours), mac matte(did nothing for me), mac prep and prime (maybe 2 hours of oil control tops) milk of magnesia( a good 5 hours - not outdoors though), mario badescu healing powder (3 hours). I have used pretty much used all products in conjunction with each other to increase lasting power, usually an extra hour.
Now for the good stuff - this is brilliant. stops shine for 5 hours easily. To get the best of it though, no shine all day this is my HG routine. A little painful, but worth it. Cleanse, tone and moisturize. Milk of magnesia on the face with a cotton pad with a really light hand. Going heavy causes white streaks and rubbing it off, causes the product to rub off as well. Dusting of mario badescu healing powder and top it off with Kryolan anti shine, with a nice heavy hand. Its unbelievable. I was able to get away with 6+ hours, spent outside in scorching tropical summer with this routine. I skipped foundation that day. But you could add foundation on top and layer with krolan once more.
Warning: Please use this ONLY if u have skin like mine, else just one of these products should work for u.

Wow. This is the only product I have ever used that has noticeably reduced and even eliminated (!) my greasies. No other anti-shine gel, primer, treatment, powder, etc., has ever been able to touch the oil factory within my pores.
Here's my skin low-down: acne-prone, on Differin/Retin-A for years, also use benzoyl peroxide face wash (harsh, but doctor ordered, and my face freaks if I go gentler for any amount of time). I also suffer from face sweat. serious, hyperhydrosis -need to carry a hanky in the summer- territory. My face starts dripping before the rest of my body even notices the temperature. Lastly, my greasiness level is pretty high, I'm normally shiny about an hour after I wash my face and no makeup, it takes maybe two hours when I use mineral makeup, sooner if it's hot out.
The amazing thing with this powder is I'll still sweat in the heat, but after dabbing with my hanky, the powder is still working and there's no lingering shine! Normally the sweat would evaporate but leave a sticky oily film behind. With this, I just have a "healthy glow" at most. I am so used to being a greasy sweaty mess in the summer that I've found I get angry/cranky in hot weather because I know I look like a mess. But, I was walking around NYC the other day with my boyfriend on a 98+ degree day, feeling super gross and self-conscious, but my boyfriend was like, hun, you look great (even kind of surprised himself).
About the product and usage: I got this from ebay, very affordable and the jar is huge. I would not be surprised if this lasted 5+ years at my rate. I just sprinkle a bit of it into the lid and use a fluffy brush to swipe it onto my forehead, nose and chin over my MMU. It can look a bit white and powdery at first but that goes away once it starts sopping up oil.
Now some disclaimers: I do think this can clog pores. Because of this, I really only use it on my T-zone, where I have the largest pores and the grease level is the highest. Also, any tiny zits I get on my forehead are short-lived and generally not problematic. I leave my cheeks alone because they are less oily, acne here would be a bigger problem, and I don't need a totally matte face... a little sheen on my cheekbones is fine. All in all, I am willing to get a few forehead bumps (under my bangs) just to use this product. BUT this is not for the faint of heart, be careful where you put it if you do have acne or less than moderately oily skin. I really think this is best for people who have excessive amounts of shine and have tried other products with no luck.
This really is a life saver for me, I am still amazed at how well it works, considering how similar it looks to other finishing powders- but the comparison stops there. There is no other product I can think of that makes such a noticeable, immediate difference in the appearance of my skin.

I've been using this powder to set my foundation for several months now. It's completely translucent, which I love because it doesn't alter the color of my foundation. I definitely think it keeps my combo skin's shine at bay, yet it doesn't make my skin look so matte that it looks flat. If you're looking for a very matte look this might not be for you or you may want to try it in combination with a matte, oil-control foundation (think Revlon's Color Stay foundation). The powder isn't as finely milled as some other finishing powders out there (MUFE HD powder, for example) but it doesn't look dry/cakey when applied so I think that it is pretty decent.

You get a lot of product for the money. The sifter in the jar releases way to much product so you may want to only remove 1/2 of the plastic film when you first open it to keep the product contained. Being that the jar is pretty large, I purchased a small sifter jar from Sephora to fill and bring with whenever I travel.

Well, unfortunately my experience with this powder is not so...positive. After spending days on the internet to find the perfect powder for my oily forehead, I decided to go for Kryolan Anti-Shine. It has the best reviews for combination skin. For a short while (too short - not even a month I believe)...it really worked. It kept my forehead matte till the afternonn. Now, at about 12 o'clock and even earlier, all the oil comes through my skin and, as another girl said, I think it is even oilier than before. So, I think it's a matter of luck, and....matching your skin. All in all I am very disappointed, because I had such high expectations. In my country the amount of money I paid for it is quite big.
