My mascara is very important to me - I would NEVER leave the house without it, because I have very fine, pale lashes. This is a great product. A lot of drugstore mascaras make my eyes itch, so finally I schlepped over to Sephora prepared to shell out some serious cash. This is more than I would typically spend on mascara, but still worth it - $21. I need waterproof because my lashes are oily and non-waterproof tends to give me raccoon eyes by the end of the day. This product is made with natural ingredients, is non-irritating and looks natural and non-clumpy on my lashes. Also, the packaging is super cute - mine doesn't look like the picture because its eggplant snakeskin, but it does have the cute little anchor on it. I turned my mother and my best friend on to this product as well and they both like it too. Only con is if you want dramatic lashes, this is not the product for you (unless you want to put on a ton of coats and use an eyelash curler). Much better for daily use.

After redeeming some points at Sephora I got this mascara as a sample. It sat in my mascara bag for few weeks before I tried it. However, I was amazed when I tried it. It is an excellent mascara for those looking for length. If you are looking for volume this is not the mascara for you.
I feel that this product is best for people with straight and short eye lashes because it provides length and definition. It is heat and water proof so it makes a great choice in humid environments of snow storms. Now, one thing, this product works best with a primer. I like to use it with Shiseido's mascara base.

I've owned this mascara for a few weeks now, so I think I've used it enough to get a good idea on how I like it. I bought the waterproof version. And BY GOD, they mean it. That mascara does not run, smudge (unless I accidentally smudge it on my lids when putting it on), or flake on me. The only downfall with the waterproof-ness is the difficultly taking it off. I usually wash my face at night to remove my makeup with a cleanser and the mascara is STILL on. I then move onto my eye makeup remover and I end up having to use Q-tips RIGHT ON the lashes just so the mascara will come off. I have kinda long eye lashes, but they tend to droop down a little so it's kinda irritating trying to take it off.
The curl factor with this mascara is amazing, just as long as you curl your lashes first OR if you're a lucky bastard and already have super curled lashes. *shakes fist* I tried putting a coat or two on my lashes without curling and where my lashes droop some, I wasn't happy with the outcome. But when curling first, it goes on like a dream.
I really like the way this mascara seems like it's going to be a really wet mascara, but when you put it on, it doesn't get all over the place and it really separates your lashes and lengthens them nicely. I overall give this mascara a "4" ONLY because of the price. I had a little bit of money to splurge on makeup and I even then I found $19 a bit pricey for a product that expires in 6 months. But alas, it is a great and I would recommend it for everyone.

This might become my new HG mascara if it wasn't for the ridiculous price. (1st HG love is my maybelline waterproof full n soft). I always purchase waterproof versions of mascaras because my lashes are long but straight and WP mascaras holds their curls. This mascara is amazing!!! Love the packaging, love the brush. It grabs onto your lashes and does everything: separates, volumizes and lengthens. I did not have a problem with flaking or smudging. Only thing is you need to wait between coats to reapply, or else it's going to be a clumpy mess. This mascara is easy to remove. I definitely would repurchase! :)

I'm really surprised that this mascara doesn't have a higher rating because it is by far the best mascara I have ever used and I have tried nearly all of them (drugstore and high end). I have thick but short lashes and this mascara does an amazing job of give me gorgeous pair of peepers! I always get compliments when I wear it. I never have black gunk on the skin under my eyes at the end of the day with this one. I love it!

I was so excited about purchasing this product but it proved to be a complete nightmare and total waste of money. I had previously tried the original, which wasn't bad, but definitely wasn't worth 20 bucks. Throughout the day I'd constantly have to touch up my half asian lashes with a curler but of course... after a few hours they would droop back down. In hopes to continue using a natural mascara, I turned to it's waterproof cousin, "lights, camera, splashes". I was under the assumption that waterproof mascaras held curl better, but boy was I wrong with this one. The formulation was much gloopier than the original and didn't give me the slightest bit of definition or length. It couldn't hold a curl for more than 30 minutes and during the day people kept telling me I had "stuff on my face" On top of being worse than the original, IT FLAKES LIKE CRAZY. If you have straight lashes that turn downward, I would skip this mascara. But I'm sure it would flake on all lash types. Sorry Tarte!

I got a sample of this in a set from Sephora, and I am not impressed. Dry, thick and hard to apply. It requires too many coats for me to see a difference in my lashes.

This product was ok. I bought it to add some volume to my lashes and to help them hold more of a curl. So far, nothing I have tried will keep my long stick straight lashes curled for more than an hour or two.

This kept clumping on me, i tried to wipe off the brush with a paper towel before applying and it still didn't help. Also, didn't hold a curl. It's a very wet formula, but if you get it on your skin, you could wipe it off.

Still not better than Max Factor 2000 Calorie.

This is buildable waterproof mascara, 2 coats goes a long way. Gives good volume, definition and adds length. I like that it holds my curls and doesn't clump. I have oily lids so I tend to use waterproof mascara to avoid having the product smudge off giving me raccoon-eyes. Haven't had a problem with this mascara smudging and it survived a workout. I wear contacts and this mascara doesn't flake off and gets into my eyes like others I've tried before. I have no problem taking it off with eye make-up remover and a cotton pad. However, it does take longer to dry so be patient and it's pricey. I will repurchase this mascara until sometime more amazing comes along, so right now it's on the top of my list.

PROS:
~Stays on forever...even after long hours of swimming in pool

CONS:
~Hard to remove. Still haven't found a make-up remover that fully does the trick.
~Dries way too long

I splurged on this mascara because I needed something that would keep my transparent lashes black during swimming. It takes a LONG time to dry out and somehow manages to get all over the face. After it's dried, however, it takes a LONG time to get off which can be a good or a bad thing. I like that it doesn't budge but at the end of the night, I want it off.

Would I buy it again? Probably not. But it does get the job done.
