I ran out of my MAC Studio Fix and needed a liquid foundation in a hurry (MAC was closed. I went to Target). I'm an NC20-25. I have yellow undertones. I brought my MAC foundation with me to make sure the color comparisons were a match. I found a perfect color match in Vanilla. Once I put it on I didn't like it. It was too orange, not enough coverage (I like medium coverage), and wasn't buildable.
Here are some things you need to know:
It is more comparable to a tinted moisturizer.
The foundations have yellow/orange undertones.
The foundation oxidizes so you might want to buy a shade lighter.
It is better suited for women with NW35 skin tones and daker.
It is NOT suited for women with pink undertones, or a light skin tone.
It is not a buildable foundation.
*Update* It made my skin break out! I now have a couple of cystic pimples. I do not get acne, and haven't since high school (9 years ago). The only change in my skin routine was this foundation.

This foundation is really great it does provide a lightweight natural coverage, but unfortunately I started to feel like this was causing me breakouts. I have recently also had a microdermabrasion which makes your skin some prone to breakouts...but I mainly figure this was the reason just because I started in places I never did before. it really is a great foundation my mom has used it before she like it I guess it can work out for you if you have normal skin.

The first time I tried this foundation I was thrilled. It felt and looked almost identical to Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, which I find too drying for my aging skin (over 45) and a bit too matte, but which I love to wear because hey, it's Chanel. But this is infinitely more affordable, and longer-wearing.
The second time I tried it was this morning, and when I looked in the mirror an hour later, my face was bright orange. Seriously orange. I knew when I bought the foundation that it was a bit dark for me, but this was ridiculous. Then again, I had also applied a lot more than I did the first time - so I quickly washed it all off and re-applied, using a very, very small amount - and voila! it was perfect again.
It seems that this is the key to using this product: it can't be applied heavily, and it is not meant to be a medium-full coverage foundation like Revlon Color-Stay, which has been my HG for years, but which i have often found to be too heavy. I need more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, but I don't like the look of wearing foundation, at least for day. At the same time, I have never understood why anyone would wear a foundation that didn't last all day and was not transfer-proof like ColorStay, which is why I've stood by it practically since it came on the market.
But Stay-Perfect may change that, at least for day wear. Worn lightly, it covers well well, hiding discolorations beautifully but without settling in fine lines or pores, or looking or feeling thick; it lasts all day; and it leaves a not-too-matte, satin finish. Again, the trick is to apply a small amount, and I'm finding that fingers do the best job (as with Vitalumiere Aqua). Ideally, it would be a bit more dewy, but I'm pleased.

I have to say "Wow" I love this foundation and this is coming from someone who never wears liquid foundation.
I decided to go to target and browse around and to my surprise I found boots hypo-allergenic makeup brand.. My skin is very sensitive, dry, red, oh! and to top it off I have freckles. Well anywhoo I thought I'd give this brand a try, I picked up 10 New-Ivory and tried it today... I think I found my brand! I whent back and picked up 200.00 dollars worth of makeup.. Finally!!!! I can wear makeup... The foundation is soooo lightweight and leaves my skin super soft... Best brand for problematic skin types.

This is a transfer resistant foundation. Transfer resistant cosmetics (base, liner, shadow, blush and especially lipstick) have become quite popular as they wear forever and stay put ( none on clothes, cell phones etc.) Oilky skin particularly love transfer resistant base as it will never slide off their skin by mid day, which is what they're used to: touch ups all day long. I've always found transfer resistant foundation to accent the skin texture they are atop. Dry/flakey skin looks moreso. Dry/lined skin looks moreso. Acne pitted w/scars do not seem to be refined as all these skin types do with a non transfer resistant/regular foundation. This is the first I've tried that does not continue the negatives I've mentioned. This is a great improvement on transfer resistant base. The color range is rather limited (not good as this foundation covers well so you can't get by with a slightly off color as you might with a sheerer base.) If you do find your color match you're in luck as this is a teriffic foundation. Stays on all day and night. It preety much looks just applied when you go to remove it. No milky/hydrating cleansers for this bases removal. You need a good, lathering, sulfate containing cleanser. For Trasnsfer Resistant this foundation is the goods!! Highly Recommended!! Boots Rule!! Howecer, I stll think non-transfer resistant (regular foundation) still will always make the skin look more real/perfect. Regular foundations can have skin treatment values to them. Transfer Resistant do not. It's as if these type of ingredients interfere w/the transfer resistant formula. Nonetheless, these TR bases and other products do have their place and are used (to a very nice degree) when needed.

As a very oily skinned gal, I have a lot of trouble finding a good foundation. And having very yellow undertones made it even harder. Since I am of South Asian decent, most foundations are either too pink or beige-y for my skin tone.
I have tried everything from Chanel to BM, but found this to be my HG! I am currently using Almond and am a NC 35-40. I was using Tan, but found it a bit too dark after it mixed with my oily skin and oxidized. However, it would be perfect for me in the summertime.
I still have to blot my skin regardless (since I am extremely oily no matter what), but the foundation stays on and doesn't rub off which is a big plus for me. I use Maybelline's Dream Matte powder over it and it works great together.

I love the staying power of revlon colorstay. I have super oily skin that acts like oil cleanser and colorstay had stayed the longest so far. The only problem is that I couldn't find a color that would work for me. I am NC 25 in the winter and NC 35 to 40 in the summer. I have very strong yellow undertone and colorstay is either too pink or too neutral. MAC studio fix is a perfect match, but I can't stand the texture and it transfers like crazy. I had tried Laura Mercier - broke out in cystic acne, EL double wear - not too bad, but felt tight on the face. I had tried Prescriptive - transferred and rubbed off.
I stumbled across reviews for this foundation and read one of the reviews that the shade "suede" is pure yellow. I went to 4 different Target to look for this shade. Only 1 Target had it, but it was a tester. I tried the tester and sure enough, it was Bart Simpson yellow. I wanted to buy it to mix it with my colorstay!! I checked on-line and saw that just about all the Target stopped carrying "suede". I ended up ordering from Boots USA.
I was ecstatic when I received the foundation. I tried it on my face and it was too dark and way too yellow. Lol! I had never seen a foundation too yellow for my skin. I mixed it with my colorstay foundation and I got the PERFECT SHADE!!! I was so thrilled.
This foundation is watery and easy to blend, whereas colorstay is thicker and harder to blend. Mixing the two not only gave me the perfect shade, it made foundation application much easier. It didn't transfer very easy either. By the way, I mixed it with colorstay combination/oily formula in Buff. This bottle will last for a long time. Hopefully by the time I use up the 2 foundations, there will be drug store foundations that matches my yellow skin and I won't have to mix my own. I found that department store foundations have better shades, but are not necessary better than the drug store foundations. As for now, I am happy to find a very yellow foundation to mix with my colorstay.

I bought this in shade 'blonde' absulotely PERFECT for my skin colour. I have never in my life found a foundation that matches my skin perfectly. I have medium / tan skin. Sometimes it can look a bit 'dull'. During the summer it works well with my skin, never flakes unless i havent worn enough moisturiser. During winter it might look a bit dull but maybe thats just my skin. It lasts about 6 hours and starts to fade after that. Gives a light buildable coverage which is great. Its very subtle if you get a shade that matches your skin. I am satisfied with it and it has lasted me AGES... over a year using it about 5 times a week.

I had high hopes for this foundation. I wanted to compare it to Revlon CS. Revlon is 5000x's better then this. I always use concealer over my foundation because everyone knows it covers better if applied over foundation. For me it does anyways. I put this Boots foundation on, waited a few then put my concealer on (EL DW) and while I was blending it, the foundation smeared away. I use a soft, fluffy brush with my concealer application, always. I couldn't believe it. It smells grotesque! I don't even want to know what ingredient it is that makes this smell so nasty but it's awful. However, my super oily skin has stayed remarkably matter and its been 8 hours now. The color match is fine. Packaging is great. Pump is awesome. I gave the product a 5 star for packaging.
I will never buy this again nor will I ever recommend this product to anyone....good luck girls. I hope it works better for you!!!

I had high hopes for this considering the reviews. Im not sure why, but no matter how I apply the product, I can not blend it well-- it looks cakey. It seems to just sit on top of my skin.

Surprised by the some of the negative reviews, but I noticed that most of the people not happy w/ this foundation are fair skin, complaining that the colors don't look good on. I was looking for a foundation that was long lasting, medium to light coverage (can use concealer for more coverage) and looked natural in any light. This worked great. I NEVER can find my shade at Target, CVS etc, was surprised to find a match for my skin. I have a golden undertone and usually feel so neglected when I shop at the drugstore but got lucky this time. Tried this in the ALMOND color but a tad light, (would work great on a light olive complexion) TAN was slightly to dark, maybe a little to orange) so I chose esspresso, sounds like its really dark but its not, more of a light golden tan. Makes my skin glow w/out being to greasy or to matte and cakey.Love that this does not rub off, but think they should add more colors as they are kind of limited. I have tried alot of the long last foundations on the market from AVON (to greasy and was not rub resistant) to more expensive brands like Lancome and EL ( both to matte and heavy and their lighter weight versions of these foundations way to sheer) This was perfect! Now I just have to find a good foundation brush to use with it, I have the traditional flat foundation brush but was not happy with the application, so I just with my hand. Any recs??

I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation, esp. after all the negative reviews. This particular foundation, the Stay Perfect Foundation, actually did just that for most of the day. I set it with a translucent powder and I didn't have a problem. It gives a medium-full coverage and doesn't make you look chalkly. NC50 ladies, don't sleep on this one. The color equivalent here is Cocoa.

Revlon Colorstay is absolutely atrocious. Yes, they have nice colors, and their foundation stays on all day, and probably a week if you'd let it, and application is alright...BUT it makes my skin look incredibly dull and even though I've been on Accutane twice, this is the only thing that I've ever put on my face that will make acne reappear again, and I haven't had a blemish in YEARS. I think people are addicted to Revlon Colorstay because it's very good at covering up the horrible skin it gives them.
Anyway, this review is about Boots No7 Stay Perfect Foundation. This foundation applies like it's a $50 foundation. Simply gorgeous. I have combination skin and my skin feels perfectly hydrated and comfortable after I put this on, and blends into a silky smooth dream. My only gripe is that Cream 05 is the lightest shade I've encountered and it is not light enough...I just blend really well along my jaw line. I'm an NW20, probably an NW15 in MAC, and I used to wear Revlon Colorstay in 110 Ivory and 150 Buff. The Boots foundation also runs warm, and as some others reviewers mentioned, kind of yellow. In natural lighting I have fish belly blue/white skin but this foundation somehow doesn't look as hideous as it could, with it's slightly yellow tone and all. The formula is the best I've ever tried and so far I've tried MAC Pro Longwear foundation, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra, Shiseido Sun Protection Liquid Foundation SPF 42 PA +++, L'Oreal Paris True Match, and of course Revlon Colorstay in Oily/Combination. While their colors probably match my skin better, all of these foundations never really felt comfortable and never really had the oil prevention that they've promised, well except for Revlon, but I'd rather have oily skin than gray skin with painful cysts all over my face! So, if you have combination skin but hate the dryness associated with mattifying foundations, then you should try Stay Perfect Foundation because it's only like $13.99, and I say "only" because it looks and feels like it should be so much more.
This foundation isn't like the thick paint that Revlon Colorstay is made of, but this foundation will not ruin your skin, so if you keep using it, along with treating your skin, you will probably not need to rely on such heavy foundation to cover up flaws. And isn't that nice?!

Um this broke me out. I don't know what it is, it really doesn't cover well at all either, I mean it evens out your skin a little but since it broke me out I didn't see it covering the redness or pimples it caused :( I like the lifting and firming version better because it really covers but that one emphasizes your dry spots! I hate you Boots!! Haha

okay so i tryed this foudation out of sheer curiosity. I always walk by the little isle where there products are at & wonder if they're any good. So i got it in the shade vanilla. It gives me good coverage, & it give me a sort of matte finish. It says it's suppose to be moisturizing but as a reviewer below said it does tend to highlight dry patches on my faces. & i dont have dry skin. I dont know i dont totally hate this foudation but i wouldnt repurchase just because i could probably find something that works better. Oh & before i end this review one super great thing is that it comes with a pump :D continued >>

God awful. Hideous color selection. Look fake, cakey and turned orange on me. Had to toss it in the trash since Target refuses to take back makeup. Target must enjoy losing customer's because this is the most absurd policy, especially since they are reimbursed from the manufacturer. As much as I can’t stand Wal Mart I will continue to buy makeup there because they take returns.

I'm surprised by the negative reviews for this product, I've switched to this after years of staying loyal to Almay's TLC foundation and I'm very happy. The New Ivory shade is perfect for my yellow undertones, and it has pretty good staying power, it dries very matte very quickly. I would say this is medium coverage, not full. I tried the lifting and firming version as well, but it's too emollient for my combo skin. Even though this dries matte, I still set it with powder. I use some tinted mineral powder if I want a little more coverage or a translucent mineral veil when I don't. I feel setting is key with most liquid foundations.

Horrible product! Bought this as I really struggle to find a foundation with yellow/warm enough undertones, and swatched on the back of my hand this looked promising.
I had a £5 voucher for this so didn't pay full price, and thank god. Got this home, applied, and was initially really pleased, however within an hour this had oxidised on my skin like nothing I've tried before and was bright orange. After 2 hours it had created, and was clinging to dry patches of skin, and had all but disappeared from the skin it hadn't dried out.
It's actually difficult to describe how horrible this made my skin look, and it was made even more shocking in contrast to how nice it looked initially applied.
To summarise, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. It doesn't stay on normal skin, let alone oily, and goes dry and bright orange on dry patches! One lipstick for the fact it was a nice colour initially...

I only bought this today, so the review may change.
.
This is an interesting foundation... We've all seen oompah-loompah-orange, but I think this is actually what the Simpson's family use. I have this in "New Ivory". I knew the colour was yellow, but this is truly the most yellow foundation I've ever seen (compared to my NC20 skin).
.
On the other hand, after I was done scaring myself in the mirror, I put some of my Visible Lift Firming foundation on top of this, and the colour was perfect! I think this can be a saver for those people who can't find a foundation that is yellow enough, that can just mix a bit of this in. This is actually yellow/olive, and doesn't oxidise to orange. It's also pretty light on the skin.
.
I don't really like that one can't wear this alone, and therefore it a 3 for that. And because of that I don't think I would repurchase this again.

This has to be one of the worst foundations available, even if you only compare it to drugstore. Considering it's price for about $14.00, doesn't adhere to skin, doesn't cover well, looks cakey, I am glad they decided to discontinue the Lifting and firming because that was another horrible foundation, and they dare compare that to chanel, what a laugh.
Boots need a serious overhaul of the makeup line available in the us, because it doesn't compare well, even to cheaper brands.
