A fresh bouquet of roses, lilacs and violets. The staying power unfortunately doesn't last very long. It's a light scent that smells great it's just a shame that it doesn't last on the skin.

I bought this fragrance based on the rave reviews. When a frag get 93% positive ratings? Very rarely!
I have also to say that I got this at a good price so I was very tempted.... but I bought unsniffed as I was craving for a new fresh airy Spring scent. Add that I love Paris....so I got it.
OK it's a nice fresh spring water. Smells clean and nice.
Starts off citrusy and green. Only after a few minutes you get a hint of a subtle, powdery rose. But very subtle. Nothing like the bold roses & violets of the original Paris.
Some lilac bushes peek in, too. A very faint lily of the valley.
On me it disappears after 10 minutes. I mean 10 minutes. I am disappoined. it's nice, easy to waer but way too fleeitng!
By the way, stunning decorated bottle...!

I had the original Paris back in the 80s when it first came out and absolutely adored that big rose fragrance that was so distinctive. You could always pick someone who was wearing Paris as it's quite unmistakable......anyway, what I like about Jardins Romantiques is that it is a true variation on Paris, unlike some other fragrances that bring out summer versions etc etc that smell nothing like the original. Jardins Romantiques is a lighter version of Paris. Roses galore and a really green grassy note that smells just like a rose garden in spring amongst freshly mown grass. Again, the fragrance is still distinctive and unmistakeable and the bottle is absolutely gorgeous - same Paris bottle but with scenes of Paris (the city) in pale pink and pale green. Just beautiful :-)

This is my first comment ever. I bought the parfume based on your reviews, dear ladies, and I must say WOW! Simply beautiful. Thank you MUA!

Enough people have described the scent, so I'll focus on the performance. I can't believe that this is an EDT and not an EDP because the sillage is incredible! Just one spritz on skin passes through fabric and clings to everything I wear that day. The 4.2 oz. bottle is going to last me for a decade of Springs at this rate. Worth every penny.

I was just on a business trip for a week and took only one fragrance--YSL's Paris Jardins Romantiques. LOVE this as I love all the Paris spring edition flankers. It is like a beautiful bouquet of flowers with roses being the most dominant scent, but I also get violet, lilac and grass. Only problem is this has NO lasting power at all. I had to spray on constantly throughout the day. Other than the lasting power issue, this is a pretty and light floral fragrance that makes me think of sunny spring days. It makes me happy!

Beautiful fragrance but no staying power. I love the sweet floral garden notes and the mowed grass freshness but once you spray this on you, it only lasts an hour or two. I would love to give this 5 lippies but staying power is a strong factor with me when purchasing a perfume. I don't want anything that's too cloying but something that lasts throughout the day. This sort of disappears after awhile. I still love it but probably won't repurchase since I bought the 4.2 oz. bottle.

I absolutely adore this fragrance!
The scent is a combination of: mandarin, rose, lilac, violet, cut grass and a hint of sandalwood musk as a base note (which you won't notice until after a few hours of wearing the fragrance). It really does evoke images of sitting in a balmy garden in the middle of Paris :) It's not overly sweet, nor is it over-powering. It's an effervescent floral fragrance, however you will still be able to catch tantalising whiffs of violet and musk at the end of the day.
The bottle is pretty, delicate and feminine with little roses and trees, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tour printed in pastel pink and green on the sides. The box is almost more gorgeous than the bottle, and I wish I'd kept it!

This is a lovely light scent for the summer. It is perfect. I love the bottle and the smell, it smells like a nice beautiful garden in Paris! A little grass with roses and it is just lovely with a nice dress in the summer for a romantic dinner!
Easy on the nose! Love this!

SO GLAD I ENDULGED!! Some years ago my husband bought me a bottle of Paris when it first came out, on a vacation we took in Bermuda. So when I smell Paris, Bermuda, sun, balmy breezes and fresh spring air is what I think of. I read the reviews on Paris Jardin Romantiques and when I read that it was BETTER than Paris and in keeping with the same general scent, I had to have it. Well I purchased it on line for a song ($4.2 fl oz for $33.99!) and she is a beauty! Firstly it starts off just like Paris with tons of roses. But the dry down definitely has greens coming thru. Just fresh, lovely, ladylike, and very now. You must try this if you are a YSL Paris lover. Treat yourself!

I regretted not buying this last year and was delighted to see it in TK Maxx a few weeks ago. I waited to try the new edition (Pont des Amours) before buying this, and confirmed that Jardins Romantiques is my favourite of the springtime versions. Initially it's all rose but after about half an hour the grass note comes through beautifully. I find it a warm, sunny, cheerful scent and look forward to wearing it a lot through Spring and Summer especially.

Another BEAUTIFUL Paris springtime edition. I would have bought this simply becuase of the beautiful bottle with the scenes of Paris on it. I also love the fresh green colour of the fragrance - It looks too cute on my dressing table! I even use the pretty box it came in to hold pencils on my desk. Possibly my favourite edition,I love the 'grass' note, it really lightens up the rose. I feel pretty, happy, and lovely when I wear this on a sunny spring day.

I've enjoyed YSL's Paris limited editions before, and Jardins Romantiques is one of my favorite fragrances for Summer 2007. On my skin, it is a dewy blend of rose petals, lilac, and green grass. It's a fresh, light-hearted fragrance, easy to wear even on the warmest days. And who can resist the adorable bottle? It reminds me of "An American in Paris."

Yves Saint Laurent consistently produce gorgeous scents in their line of Paris limited editions, and Jardins Romantiques is one of the best. It is a beautifully blended mix of young roses, violets and lilac, with a grassy note that gives it freshness and which remains throughout the four hours that this lovely scent lasts on my skin. It's a happy scent - pretty, feminine, fresh and with fair sillage for such a light scent. It also comes in the prettiest bottle. I really can't see how anyone could fail to adore this!

The new Eau De Printemps edition (Springtime Fragrance) Limited Edition of Paris for Spring 2007 is called Jardins Romantiques, and it is, to me, the best of all of these Paris Springtime editions. What I love the best about all of them is that they are true to the original Paris, you know Paris is the base for these, and yet they all have a little tweak or twist to make them worthy of collecting. Jardins Romantiques adds more violet and some lilac to the original. I love rose and violet together in a scent, so I am particularly delighted with this latest Paris edition. It is a little softer than the original Paris, not quite as sharp on top, and lighter also. It's balanced and well-blended, but as in all Paris editions, showcases the incredible rose note. The bottle is adorable with flowering trees, the Eiffel Tower, Arche Du Triomphe, and a little park bench, all in pink and green. One size only, 4.2oz (125ml). As with all of these Paris Springtime Limited Editions, get it while you can. Once they're gone, they won't be back.
