This is my favorite deep conditioning treatment of all time. I've tried lots (some being L'Oreal Evercreme deep treatment, Feria After Color treatment, Redken All Soft Heavy Cream, Aussie 3 minute Miracle, Neutrogena Triple Moisture mask, L'Oreal Eversleek deep conditioner, Pantene Lengths mask, Biolage Balm, It's a 10 mask, etc etc etc etc) and this makes my hair the smoothest, silkiest, healthiest looking and feeling hair I can possibly have. I have used it with heat for an hour or just as a quick 5 minute treatment, and I love that I don't need to have it on for an hour with heat to make it work to it's fullest potential. For myself, 5 minutes is plenty of time for this to work perfectly. I only have 2 complaints- it takes an extra minute to completely rinse out and also I wish it was in a squeeze tube because that tub get a little awkward to handle in the throes of my hair routine. Other than that, it's perfect and I've repurchased and recommended this.

i go between this and aussie deeep. i use this once in a while when my long blonde hair is super dry and out of control. is is pretty heavy for me but it does bring my hair back to life. i do like aussie deeep a bit better because i think it moisterizes better than this and its not heavy at all and i can use it every day. this is good tho. i think its kinda pricy for what it is tho. this is 13 bucks and for 20 you can guy redkin real contorl cream at cvs in a huge tube.

Fantastic deep conditioning treatment on a budget. I have been loyal to Biolage Conditioning Balm for years and must say this is just as good. It doesn't contain any protein, which makes it great to use after protein treatment (such as Aphogee or K-pak). The smell isn't bad, reminds me of apples. It does contain some 'cones (amodimethicone if i recall correctly) but that one isn't a particularly heavy cone and doesn't bother me in the least bit. I would highly recommend this to anyone with dry, processed, damaged, or colored hair. And for amazing results, throw on a shower cap and apply heat using blow dryer for 10-15 mins. Leaves my hair feeling like silk! Amazing stuff, highly recommended and will definitely repurchase!

The treatment does leave your hair soft as do most conditioners but it's not a miracle product. I have treated hair that is dry and damaged. I left this on for over 5 minutes to see the full effect. It's an OKAY treatment. I'll keep trying. This isn't the one for me.

I have used about a million hair treatments from dirt cheap to really expensive and this is by far the most moisterising of them all. I am seriously impressed. Leaves my hair soft and shiny. Will never use anything else. Defintely an HG.

I've used this off and on for years, and I started using it again recently because I don't take the time to blowdry my hair, which means it has to dry naturally, which also usually means frizzy, wavy/curly, uneven hair.
This product is highly emollient and feels quite slippery, and I only need a little for my fine, below-the-shoulders hair. My hair shines a lot more when I use this, and it feels more sleek and smooth, so my curls look more uniform and soft. However, this conditioner also seems to build up on my hair if used every day.
The biggest problem is that it causes my back to break out, though my back usually has no blemishes. It's a bother having to take extra time to make sure my back is squeaky clean after I've already conditioned my hair. But for the price and results, I'd recommend this conditioner to those with dry or wavy/curly hair in need of moisture.

All the reviews are true! Why does my hair feel better after I used this then before I bleached my hair three times in a month? I don't know but I love this stuff!!

This stuff is great! I got it today based on the good reviews here, for my thin, aging, dry, breaking, stringy hair. I am also on chemo which has added to the hair disaster. I used it tonight and already my hair looks SO much healthier and shiny. It feels great! I will use it three times a week and am confident it will look even better. This is far better than oil treatments. I am amazed. I keep looking in the mirror and double taking. My hair has not shined like this in years! I got it at Sally's and it was about $13, but the jar is pretty big, and since I have so little hair it will go a long way. I'd gladly pay double that if I had to.

PROS: Wonderful for my very damaged, very fine hair. I can use it two to three times a week without it being completely weighed down. It really helps the damage I've done to my hair. Smells tropical, fruity and delicious, mostly like green apples (but tropical).
CONS: The only one I can think of is that it's not in any of my grocery or drug stores. I find mine at Sally's Beauty Supply.
APPLICATION TIPS: I like to towel dry my ends first so that I can get the full benefit of this. It says you can also apply moderate heat to help it work even better.
ALTERNATES: They have a strengthening version of this too, called "Mega Strength" which is wonderful.

Did absolutely nothing for my long hair that is dry on the ends. Now using Ojon instead and I love it! (Sometimes you get what you pay for.)

I went through 2 tubs of this stuff before finally giving up. It doesn't really do much except leave a slimey coating. It softens at first, but then once my hair is dry it feels about the same as it usually feels.
I don't have anything against cones, but I feel like this is mostly cones. Which is fine for a regular conditioner, but I expect more from a "hair treatment."
I also don't like the scent. The "apple" scent was ok at first, then it became overwhelming with an underscore of rotting fruit. I began to dread using it especially since the smell lingers in my hair.
This conditioner is just meh for me. Not much different from a regular Pantene conditioner. Would not repurchase.

I've bought this many times (mine has a yellow container with a green lid). I find it's a really great conditioner for my hair (fine, colour treated, dry) & I use it after every shampoo. It gives my hair good slip afterward so I can comb through it without tearing the hair. Leaves a nice shine. I don't care for the tub it comes in because it can be messy (& dangerous if you drop it on your foot!) so I keep a plastic teaspoon in the shower & use that to scoop the conditioner out with. I'll continue to repurchase this. continued >>

I wish I could give this 3.5 stars, because I really feel like it's between 3 and 4. I found it to be a fairly good product, but not a miracle-worker. Also, it really seems to coat my hair. It does moisturize, but I've found other conditioners that seem to work better on my hair. Still, it's pretty cheap, so I would buy it again for occasional use.

After reading all the positive reviews for this deep conditioner, I asked my hair stylist about this and she too gave a glowing recommendation. I purchased it for $13, making it $12 cheaper than my regular deep conditioner (Enjoy Hair Mask- HG product, see my review), for the same amount of product. Is the tub it comes in convenient? No, not really, but the reality is, you get a TON of product, so I can't complain. The smell is good, not great, but definitely not bad. Kind of how you would expect a deep conditioner to smell. It does not linger on your hair after you rinse it out. After leaving it on for 10-15 minutes, my hair felt very silky and moisturized. It is comparable to Enjoy's Hair Mask, which thrilled me because it is a bit cheaper. For full results, next time I'll leave it in 30 minutes and apply heat.. Great product at a good price!

I purchased this at Sally Beauty for around $10-11. I didn't find this to be helpful at all. I thought it was a pretty greasy/weigh-your-hair-down kinda formula.
My hair never felt better when I used this, and I ended up chucking it when it was about 1/2 full. It's also in an inconvenient package - just a put with a wide cover that you have to dig into to get product out. I would much prefer a squeeze tube.
I know some people have had good luck with this - and maybe my hair just hated it.

Both my mom and I have been using this. I really like this after a protein treatment. It takes a while to rinse, but worth the trouble. I never tried it on towel dried hair or with heat, but even just as a conditioner, it really works well.
The packaging SUCKS! I hate the tub. BUT!!! I fount a great solution. If you buy the larger tub, you can use a pump top. I took off the pump from my Biolage balm tub and screwed it onto this one. Fits perfectly. Actually, this tub is not as deep as the Biolage tub, but the straw fits just fine. Makes me wonder how I'm supposed to get to the bottom of my biolage tub using their pump.
I think the pump is only a few dollars and is reusable, making it much more convenient to use this product.

This hair conditioner is a find for the money. Excellent for dry and porous hair (my hair is super curly with color). I apply it two ways. The fast easy way is to slap some on right after my shampoo in the shower - just like I would any conditioner and let it do its magic. The second is to put it on my wet hair and up in a plastic cap to then sit under the hair dryer for 20 minutes or so. This later is a deep moisturizing that really makes a difference. Don't think you could get better in a salon. Got mine at Sally's beauty supply for about $10 and will repurchase once out. You get a liberal amount of it for the money. I highly recommend especially for anyone with hair like mine!

My hair had been feeling a little dry after the cold winter and using central heat for months. All I can say is WOW. I forgot just how silky my hair could feel. I put this on my hair, then applied heat for 20 minutes. It rinsed out easily enough and made combing my hair out easy as well. My hair is silky and soft, with just the right amount of volume. I am not thrilled with it being in a jar, but i can overlook the packaging for such a great product.

Tub sucks, but the product is fantastic. Smell isn't anything to write home about, but that doesn't factor in for me too much. $13 for the bigger size at Sally's, not bad since one wouldn't use it everyday.
