I have super oily skin and thought I would give this a try. The first time I used it my face became dry and itchy. As for the "oil control" it's pure BS, it's a basic face wash, and the beads are a joke. I got maybe 3-4 beads in one pump and they didn't dissolve or break they were just purely for looks I guess. The only plus side would be the smell and it seems it only takes me 1/2-1 pump and it's barley made a dent in the bottle, so it seems like it'd last quite a while. Won't buy this again.

I mostly use this to rid my face of any impurities. It leaves my face feeling a bit dry which I really like because I have an extremely oily face and before I used this product, I used to wash my face and literally two minutes later my face would be soo oily again. Great product.

I got two nice sized samples of this and couldn't wait to try them out. First of all, the smell, I smell no lemongrass or any other citrusy scent in this product it has an odd smell that I can't describe. If it were a decent product I would be able to live with it. The scrubbing beads do nothing and I have to wash my face AFTER using the product as it has a weird film left behind on my skin.

Love this product. I've been switching between facial cleansers for the (unrealistic aim) of having perfect skin 24/7.
My skin is moderately oily and this really has helped to keep it under control.
Before this I was using Avene Cleanance which is much more expensive but I didn't like the fact it didn't smell nice and had a weird thick consistency like a shampoo!
Plus this face wash says it is oil free which is a bonus :]
Like the pump dispenser as it means it's clean and bacteria-free and like the fact you can see how much is left!
Definitely will be repurchasing - only took one lippie off because I think those little bursting beads are a waste of time - they look pretty though :]

i don't think this product actually controls shine like it claims to, but i still like it. it really does wake you up! it feels amazingly minty fresh and cool on your skin! and it leaves it really soft and clean. for the first couple weeks i did notice that it had tightened the pores on my nose as well. the little beads in it are completely useless. you only get about three or four per pump and they don't even do anything. also, now that i've been using it for about a month and a half i think my skin has just gotten to used to it! it feels less minty, and cool than it did the first couple weeks, and it doesn't seem to be tightening my pores anymore. it's still a keeper though, till it runs out.

Aside from the cheap price, and attractive packaging this product was a miss for me. The fresh smell is nice, but the scrub itself did nothing to combat shine throughout the day. Also the bead were more abrasive and irritating to my skin then the regular Morning Burst (orange bottle). It felt like grains of sand, in an unpleasant way. I would not repurchase or recommend!

I have oily skin and that's the reason I bought this. As other reviewers mentioned, this does not really control shine as it claims. I gave it 3 lippies because I do like the scent and it does leave my face feeling clean, but dry sometimes....If you are looking for a cleanser that controls shine, this isn't it....

I HATE this product. I have to admit, i bought it because it looked like it smelled good and was in a semi- attractive packaging. I also bought it because I have oily skin and thought i would give it a try(despite hating all the clean and clear products i have tried). In my opinion, it does nothing of what it claims. It does not smell good...whatsoever. The little beads inside have no purpose, and worst of all it does not keep you shine free, which it states. It doesnt even make my face feel clean! It is cheap( bought it for 5.99 on sale), but I would not buy it again if it was a penny.
If you have oily skin, PLEASE do not purchase this!

I bought this cleanser mainly because I was attracted by the packaging and color and I seem to have a thing for anything citrusy. This is one product that was nothing but disappointing. All I can remember about it is that it dries my skin crazy. In fact my face became so dry and flaky after I used it a few times. There was nothing nice about this product and I would never repurchase. I would probably never finish the bottle that I bought.

I purchased this product because I ran out of my Freeman Superfruits (which I can only get online) and I wanted a cheap replacement. I use the products in the same way, and my reviews are therefore pretty similar for both products. *** I use the cleanser immediately after showering (I shower first to give my pores a chance to open up a bit in the warm water). I place a small amount of product on my Olay Professional ProX Cleansing System brush and then move the brush over my face on the low setting. I get a nice foam going, then rinse, and lightly pat dry. *** If I do use the cleanser in the shower, I usually massage the cleanser on my face for 30 seconds, then I grab a bit of the Superfruits exfoliating cleanser to feel that extra scrub. *** I do like the results from this product but I prefer the Freeman cleanser. Either way, I feel my skin is supple and my pores more refined. I have even stopped using foundation and now only wear tinted moisturizer (Origins VitaZing) on a daily basis, something I would never have done before.

I use this at the start of my day; I have oily skin and I don't think it do me some good. I still see some oiliness during the day. It smells so good <3 and it helps control my acne. The beads seem to be a tiny bit harsh on my skin though. continued >>

okay I am 43 and live in the south-west...and the really hot summer is just horrible on my skin..(right now it's monsoon time, so it's hot & humid , also)..in the last month my face is soo oily I just cannot take it anymore. I bought the liquid version of this cleanser and I love it! It really does control oil...very nice clean scent...nice lather. I kinda worry that maybe it cleans too well..my skin feels squeaky clean. This truly removes all make-up. My face felt slightly tingly afterward...fresh and clean. I never thought I would go back to this brand of cleanser in my 40's ...but I am glad I did....great stuff! continued >>

I LOVE this stuff! It's my morning cleanser and I couldn't be happier with it. It cleans and it wakes me up, and it smells great. It does dry my skin out, but so does every cleanser I've ever used. Doesn't break me out, and keeps my acne at bay.

This product is the devil in a face cleanser. It is the worst face product I have ever tried. It dried out my oily skin to the point where my skin was tight and flaking, even though I moisturize regularly. While it claimed to remove dirt, oil and impurities, it irritated and broke out my skin. I would not repurchase or recommend to anyone.

I have tried countless cleanser. I remember trying the orginal Morning Burst when it first came out and really enjoyed it. But I think this one is better. I've been having dry skin lately. And this doesn't dry my skin out! Haven't had much shine lately, but with summer coming up we'll have to see. Great product!

I have been using this product for at least two weeks and I absolutely love it! It really does control shine, whether you're wearing makeup or not. I love the smell too, it has a nice fragrance. I don't understand why other people think it smells bad, but I guess everyone's noses are more sensitive than others. After about a week of using this I noticed that my skin appeared brighter than usual, and I think that's a bonus for me! It has also helped prevent acne and I now get fewer blemishes than I did before I started using this. I love this product and will continue to use it.

Great product! I think this actually worked well enough to help clear my skin. I have EXTREMELY acne prone skin and I break out every day. When I used this product last year (I was fifteen), I used it every morning in the shower and noticed how quickly my acne cleared up (but then I was also using acne creams, etc). This works great to help remove shine, help keep skin refreshed and really squeaky clean. This doesn't clear up acne by itself. The other problem is it leaves my combination skin really REALLY dry. But I would by this again because I love how it feels on my skin!

i love the smell/tingly sensation of this face wash; feels refreshing in the morning. unfortunately, this dries my skin out like crazy. after my moisturizer, i can't really tell if the 'shine control' part works at all.. don't know if i'd ever buy it again.

People here are complaining about the scent? First of all, I think it smells wonderful, second, it is supposed to WAKE you up just like it claims, a cleanser is not gonna wake you up with a mild scent. I bought this cleanser because I always wanted to try one of these Morning Burst cleansers and I hate mornings, I originally wanted to get the orange one, not this shine control cleanser but they were out and I ran out of my morning face wash. This cleanser is not as bad as people claim it to be. It does its job which is clean and wake you up. I love the tingling and clean feeling after wash. For the shine control part, I don't see a difference. You are supposed to moisturize after you clean your face no matter what cleanser you use! They warned you about the strong scent on the bottle, if you are bothered by strongly scented products then all Morning Burst items are not for you.
