I use Kiehl's Eye Alert mainly to decrease puffiness around the eyes, not to remove dark circles. It wakes my eyes up and moisturizes well. This product helps to minimize the appearance of the lines around my eyes. While Kiehl's Eye Alert is marketed more towards men, women can also enjoy its benefits. There's nothing particularly masculine about this product, other than a cooling sensation. It's not cheap, but it should last you at least a couple months.

I typically like Kiehl's products so this was a disappointment. I fortunately received this as a sample and did not purchse.

I found that it sits on top of the skin and never absorbed. And while applying concealer on top it clumps.

It did have a cooling effect so I suppose if one just used in in the evening around tired eyes it might be soothing.

Can't comment about the reduction in dark circles as I only used it 3 times before tossing the sample.

I LOVE this product. My HG for those night when I don't get enough sleep, or I've cried a little too much, and I wake up looking like I'm squinting because of puffiness. I also pretty much use it daily (in the am) to clear up my "morning eye" look. I used to steal my roommate's, then I decided to finally invest in a little tube of my own. I don't really have dark under eye circles, so I can't speak too much to that issue personally, but my boyfriend has used it once or twice and he has really liked it. It's not greasy, it doesn't make my makeup gross. I don't see myself buying any other product anytime soon.

Didn't do anything, i used it for about a month 2 times a day and my dark circles are still there. It moisturizes okay, aside from that it didn't do much for me.

When I went to Kiehl's, I got a sample of this eye cream to test it out because I am on the look out for an eye cream that will not erase (because that's like kind of impossible) but diminish my dark circles and my puffiness on those days I pulled an all-nighter or didn't get a good night sleep. And that's what happened to me today... I woke up with puffy bags under my eyes and dark circles... which I always have anyways. I really want to be part of those people that this eye cream worked like a miracle ... but it didn't do much for me. My eye bags were still there. My dark circles stayed the same way. I did like the texture of this eye cream. It's a very smooth gel texture. There's no scent to this. It's a nice eye cream... but a little expensive if it doesn't do anything else than moisturizing... So, you can give it a try, go and get a free sample and see if it works for you... but I didn't do much for me, sadly.

Well, it definitely got rid of my dark circles and puffiness as advertised. I love how it doesn't tug at my under-eye area - just makes it smooth and very soft. I swear my tiny crow's feet disappeared. I use it under Cle-de Peau concealer when going out. Otherwise, it works great by itself.

Got a nice sample of this after asking a SA at Laura Mercier about covering dark circles. She and another SA suggested Eye Alert and both stated that caffeine was helpful in ridding the under eye area of dark circles. I didn't think that it'd do anything for dark circles but I took the sample cause, hey, it was free (!) and I'm an eye cream junkie. So as I suspected the cream did nada for my dark circles and I also took note that it did nothing for my fine lines either. It also did not have any substantial cooling affect that the SA and packet said it would. I also took note that my eyes started aching an hour after applying this. Not fun. What it DID do well was help my under eye concealer go on smoothly and keep it from settling into expression lines and that'd be due to the dimethicone listed as number two on the ingredient list. In short this product didn't do anything that it claimed on the packet or what the SA said it would do. Again this is great for makeup application so don't waste your money on this unless it's for that. EDIT 2/2/11 Upping this from a 3 to a 5 since I keep reaching for it before applying concealer. Eye Alert works like a primer in filling the little crease lines under my lower lids. Again it does nothing to plump up the skin to rid it of fine lines nor does it do anything at all for dark circles. I'm glad this is so cheap compared to other eye creams and a small tube will last forever due to the tiny amount needed. This is a HG item.

This didn't moisturize well. I saw NO difference after using this for months. There are better moisturizers for the eye out there and a fraction of the cost!

Won't repurchase

I was pretty stoked when my brother gave me a this as a gift. I heard alot about Kiehl's products and finally got to try one out. While the cream goes on nice and smooth, I'm finding that the puffiness under my eyes are actually getting puffier while using this stuff. It doesn't do anything with the dark circles either. To tell you the truth, my eyes feel more tired using this stuff!! Good moisturizer but not for anything else.

NEXT.

Nothing really special about this product. Good for summer I guess, or if you just need a moisturizer for your eye area. It's light, not greasy. It seems to reduce dark circles and puffiness only a little bit, not especially effective.
