I m not happy with this product and especially with the price I had to pay I expected much more. The scent is very nice doesn't smell like perfume but like clean, fresh skin.My skin is very dry and this was not enough at all as a moisturizer for me takes zero, honestly has MINIMUM moisturizing power drys almost immediately to an almost powdery finish witch is something I don't like on my dry skin.As for the firming and the rejuvenating properties I honestly haven't noticed a thing. If you have oily-normal skin and you don't care about the price then maybe this would be a good product to you.

I'm puzzled by the review below but then we're all different. This smells great and if anything it's too strong of a scent in my opinion. I put it on about 6 hrs. ago and can still easily smell it. It's relaxing, floral but not overly so & I swear there's vanilla in here-like the scent of Sublimage). It's not a real "perfumey" smell. Also, I find this very moisturizing & my body skin is pretty dry/dehydrated. I find it sinks right in. I've had this for awhile but have not been consistent w/using it-mostly because I shower in the a.m. and like to use perfume so I'm generally reaching for one of my unscented body lotions/creams. I've been having issues w/"chicken skin" on my arms lately and I'm noticing improvement w/that today just after using this once. I'm going to use the rest of my pot until it runs out and see what I think about the firming and texture properties and then will comment again. Update-DISCONTINUED I'm told. As of April 2011 my Chanel counter is still carrying this and the hand cream.

I have 3 items now from the new body excellence range- the revitalizing smoothing body scrub, and now i just got this and the firming and revitaliszing body spray for my birthday. The scrub and the body spray are amazing. This cream is not so much for me. Firstly, its 55 in the UK which is ridiculous amount to pay for a body cream although i guess i would pay this anyway if i really loved the product. But I just dont love it that much. I have quite dry skin (horrible cold english weather and probably a little too much sun (bed :( ) from the summer) and i found this wasnt moisturising enough, although it did firm my skin. I also found it really hard to blend in to my skin, i had to keep rubbing and rubbing...not good if you're in a hurry! The scent to me is VERY faint, at first i thought this was fragrance free. I do find it very relaxing actually and calming...overall i have to say I just wasnt impressed. The classic chanel pot this comes in is very cool to have in your bathroom, chanel stuff in general aways looks good in your bathroom, esp great if you have visitors and this excellence range looks amazing...but to just have it cus the packaging looks good isnt enough. 30 mins after applying this i honestly didnt feel like i had any moisturiser on at all, my legs were not particularly smooth and soft at all. The dove firming moisturiser is a hundred times better to be honest, and also nothing beats benefit's body creams and lotions and i dont usually like benefit- now thats luxury...this is very so so... I would certainly not buy this again..if i wanted a richer cream also i think i would go for LM over this anyday

I love this cream. It's the best bodycream I encountered so far. It is moisturising, the texture is great, the smell is divine. It really relaxes you. I only use this cream in the evening, before I go to bed, because during the day I use perfume and the smell of this cream is quite overpowering (in a good way!).
I will buy this cream again and again.

A gorgeous product!
Very rich, yet not greasy nor heavy at all.
Packed with anti-age ingredients, nourishing, moisturizing and quenching your skin!
I had a GWP jar that allowed me to try this (expensive) product before buying the full size.
It's really great, but mind you, the flowery scent is rather evident - if you wear a fragrance it can interfere or mix up so be aware. I like the scent, anyway.
I have been using this cream after my (last) evening shower (so no trouble with adding my current fragrance, that I generally do in mornings & afternoons) and this relaxed me a lot granting me a good night's sleep.
I definitely like it, my body skin texture has improved a lot!
Definitely a must have (if you can afford it!).

It's the most wonderful body cream I ever used.
I bought several things from chanel this xmas and the SA gave me 2 samples of this cream...
I have to say I 've never put a body cream that's so nice.
First of all, it smells divine, not only french sick but simply divine. It says that it has wild rose, lily of the valley, yasmin, well the cream smells so nice that you can't forget it.
Second, it moistures the skin living the skin so fresh and nice and mainly without this oily feeling tha the majority of body creams leave.I tell you its gorgeus...
My only complain on this is the price 92 for 150ml jar in Greece (come on Chanel must be kidding...):-(
Just because I rarely can find a body cream that I can easily use,(all of the body creams i used, after 4 applies I bored them) I will buy it and I hope that Chanel is going to produce it for years...

This was my first purchase from the new Chanel body care range and I love it! I have been using Chanel products for years and was sad to see the old Le Corps Actif range discontinued as I loved it as well. This cream has a great texture and a pleasant scent. It feels great going on and really moisturizes well. The key ingredient is called Purple Bengle and it comes from Indonesia, according to the brochure. My new fave beauty advisor, Michael, in Barneys New York told me that the Purple Bengle is known for it's firming properties and that Chanel "Poly-Fractions" this active ingredient like they do for the Vanilla Planifolia in Sublimage. My BA told me to think of it as Sublimage for the body. This cream also mildly exfoliates so that's a plus! Since I've enjoyed this product, I will try out some others in the range. The only problem I have is that it's only a 5oz. jar and for $75.00, that's quite steep in my opinion as I would love to use the cream all over, every day. At that rate it would not last long so only 4 lippies.
*In response to the previous reviewer, Chanel does sell fashion, true, BUTwhat she doesn't know is that they have labs and doctors all over the world creating this line. In France, they have a huge lab in Sophia Antipolis, as well as a huge production and research facility in the U.S. in New Jersey, as well as many other places such as Universities where dermatologists reaserch and test their products. My BA explained how seriously Chanel takes their beauty division and how many scientific advances they have come up with. It's not fair to be making blanket statements about a cosmetic company without knowing all the facts.*

Mmmm, this cream is DIVINE! I only tried it in a store on my arms but I have to wait to finish the body milk from the same line, then I'll buy the cream... Body milk is also very good but I would prefer it to have the same smell like body cream. Body cream has a scent of wild rose, lily of the valley and jasmin. Very pleasant, slightly warm - subtle, comforting and sensual scent. It has an amazing texture - so smooth, so fine, highly moisturizing... It is in a 150 ml glass pot: I know - not the best thing when you travell etc...but glass is an optimal (and ecological) container for active substances, not plastic or something like that.
This cream is wonderful, try it, especially if you have dry skin.

This is the best firming cream for the body that I have tried. It is much better than guinot. Recently chanel launched a new body line and I am really surprised that I am the first to write about these new products!!!This cream is the most expensive from the entire line however it is gorgeous. There is also the firming and shaping gel which I use together.
