After reading all these raving comments on these napkins, i picked some up today while i was there, and now i know what all the hype is about! Doesn't dry me out like my loose powder does but gets rid of the shine really well! Pick some up while you're there, they're totally free and recyclable too :)

If the company starbucks reads these good reviews they are definitely gona sell the napkins. LOL. Funny how something this good is for free, I have used many blotting paper brands, Bench (yes they make bench oil blotters), Clean and Clear, etc. But this is the best thing that keeps oilies under control. I find that the more I blot the lesser acne I have.

LOL! I always have these stashed in my car to blot my face! I had no idea other people used these too - just saw it on MUA Top Picks. Agree with everyone's comments below.

LOL I love that this is listed on MUA! I've worked for Starbucks before and used to use their napkins to blot my face daily - they worked so well! Since quitting, I forgot about how wonderful they were.
Now that MUA has reminded me, I will stock up next time I'm out for coffee.

I've never bought actual blotting sheets, because my sister told me about these before I bought real ones. So I can't exactly compare them with actual blotting sheets...that being said, I'm satisfied with how Starbucks napkins take the oil away. They're free and they work. So I will "repurchase".
PS I don't know if any of you blot your pizza like I do (it takes away 1/3 of the calories!), but I have come to find that Starbucks napkins are perfect for blotting the grease off a pizza. I tried it out one time thinking, "Hey, if it can take grease off my face without picking up my makeup, I bet it can take grease off my pizza without picking up the cheese!" And it works! It takes all the grease away while leaving the cheese perfectly in its place.

I gave this a 2 because it did absorb oil but it also irritated my sensitive skin. I only used them for about 3 days and friends at school commented on how red my face looked and I had already stopped using them a couple days before because they made my face feel irritated. It wasn't worth dealing with the redness and irritated feeling to save less than a dollar for those 3 days. I'll stick to regular blotting sheets. If you have really sensitive skin I'd recommend not taking a chance with this. If you can use anything on your face then why not give it a shot.

I would buy if they sold it! Haha! I literally lol-ed when I saw this listed! Due to hormonal changes, sometimes my skin gets soooo oily and it's embarrassing for me. There was once I ran out of blotting paper at Starbucks so I just used these napkins and whoa! Oil-free for the next 5 hours! It's funny how everyone seems to know about this!

This is why I love MUA! You find all sorts of neat (and useful) recommendations. My skin is pretty oily, and thanks to the recs for Starbucks napkins I will never spend money on blotting paper again. Starbucks napkins are EXCELLENT for soaking up excess oil on my face. My face is totally matt and feels so much better after patting it with just 1 napkin. Whenever I go to Starbucks I will ask for "extra" napkins with my latte LOL

Add me to the raving bandwagon of napkins!! I used different types of blotting sheets before, but none of them could satisfy my need. At some point, I started trying out new powders and foundations that can keep me matte and just forgot about blotting papers. However, since I've found my HG foundation (Vichy Dermablend fluid), I've been looking for an easier way to keep myself decent looking, without having to always bringing a compact and brush with me. One day, when I was blowing my nose at school with the cafeteria's napkins, I found my skin's oiliness was gone. That's when I started using these as blotting sheets. There's nothing cheaper than free, and you can find them anywhere! I don't go to starbucks because I never liked their drinks, but my local cafés also have them, so I "stock up" whenever I go. I love these for wiping off makeup from your brushes and fingers in the morning too!! :)

I was surprised to say the least when I saw that "Starbucks napkins" was even listed!
I think this is something almost everyone knows. Paper napkins are ideal for blotting because they're made to be absorbent and are generally lint-free/shredless.
FYI I'm a flight attendant and we use those little white cocktail napkins all the time. If you ask nicely, you may even get a pack of them all your own ;-)

Like what everyone says, good replacement for expensive blue oil fims., maybe even better because 1 napkin covers my whole face. Fast and easy to use. Great idea!

My boyfriend calls these "Recession Towels". They are really great for blotting. Always have about 10 Starbucks napkins in the car console, and in random drawers ready to surprise me.

Oh my gosh!!! Ahahahaha! This made me laugh soooo hard. I actually work at Starbucks and I use the napkins all the time to blot my cheeks and forehead! They are amazing! Love this.

I guess the secret is out that these make good blotting papers :) I ran out of my Burt's Bees ones, which have rice powder on them (I don't think they even make them anymore :( ) So I decided to try these on my last trip to Starbucks. I got a big stack of em and tried them out. They do indeed remove oil without remove much makeup. These work great in a pinch, but I still prefer blotting papers with powder on them so I'm not just blotting off makeup along with the excess oil. It's a neat thing to know about and any free beauty tip is good in my book!

convenient, free, and effective - what more could you want!
i make sure to grab a bunch of these when i eat out (note: ANY recycled napkins work). i usually tear them horizontally into mini-blotters, so each napkin yields about 5 sheets or so. then i just stash a few in one of my bag's pockets.
i was worried that these would remove my makeup along with the oil, but it didnt! a few pats, the oil is gone and the makeup is in tact! very pleased.
i used to use "specialized" blot sheets, but i find that these absorb more oil. plus, the specialized sheets have weird ingredients in them which could cause reactions. the napkins dont have that risk.
overall a great DIY blotter! no downsides. so stop wasting money on blotters and go grab some napkins at a restaurant!

I think in general, any recycled napkins work. OR! Those great bathroom paper towels!!! I have a whole roll at work (the kitchenette automatic dispenser stopped working, and somebody had put a few out...so I nabbed one for my desk. Honestly awesome. At the end of the day before I leave the office, I rip a piece off and blot my whole face (no rubbing, please!). It's simultaneously gross and cool how much oil these things pick up.
Best of all, it's free. But I still rated that I'd buy it again (or steal another one from the kitchenette). Once I somehow run out of the whole roll I have here.

i'm a starbucks addict so i go there on a daily basis. every time i go there, i grab a few of these napkins because i find they work WAYY better than any blotting papers i've tried (plus they're free haha). it doesn't remove my make-up only the excess oil on my face. i have an extremelyyyy oily face so i carry these around at all times

Wow, I wouldn't have known about this trick if It wasn't for MUA. I popped into Starbucks on the way home today and picked up a couple of napkins with my Iced Tea. They work amazingly, absorbing all traces of oil on my face. Saying goodbye to blotting sheets for good now :) Thanks again MUA reviewers!! :)

Would you buy this product again?....YES!!! Hahahahhaha...I really love starbucks, but it's dirt expensive in Spain (the smaller size price makes 3 regular ones!!!!) but I always come back to pick up my beloved caramel macchiato and these magical napkins. I've been to this evening and when I was stocking up them, the waitress came and asked me: "excuse me ma'am (ma'am??? I'm 27 gosh!!!) did you split your coffee?"
Hahahahah ahhahahaahhaa....and I just started laughing and I explained her they were to keep my olies at bay. She just could not believe it, but a couple of minutes later, she came and said: "they're perfect for blotting! And they're for free! I've been working here for 3 years and I had no idea!" and then she invited me to a pop cake!!! ;D
Just amazing product!!! Thank you very much MUA reviewrs!!!
UPDATE: OH NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm so sad because they've changed regular napkins to recycled ones and they are not the same quality. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for recycling but these new napkins are not as soft as the others. They make a nice job with oilies as well but I feel them a little bit rough, and of course, the colour is awful!!!
