I am actually shocked at all the bad reviews on this product. I use this every day, and it works just fine. I don't use it for my undereye area, I use it for my blemishes. This won't crease if you use plenty of powder to set it in. The color matches my pale skin very well, it's blendable and buildable. This get's an A+. :)
I'm disappointed. I like other nyx product but not this one. the colors are unnatural and look too orange on the skin. I make use out of this product by taking a small brush and dabbing the concealer on my waterlinr to make my eyes more awake. other than that, its a pretty bad product.
I am pretty disappointed with this product. It's really difficult to blend, not creamy at all and just overall an absolute nightmare to conceal.
i've tried about a dozen undereye concealers...this is definitely one of my favorites. i get about 6 hours of wear out of it before it startes to fade a bit. the creasing is minimal, the coverage is great, and it doesnt irritate my eyes or cause watering. i will repurchase.
Not very hygienic but it doesn't really bother me as I use for my under eyes... I have really really dark circles and I don't believe that this is full coverage but it does change my under eyes from purple to like my skin tone so I'm fine with it. I got both orange and beige but this genius (me) thought that the orange concealer would work because I saw a review on YouTube but I was supposed to get yellow instead cause like orange is for darker skinned girls (supposedly I don't know if this is true) either way the orange has like no use for me now so yea. I would repurchase but probably get beige and a darker shade.
I was under the erroneous impression that this only came in two colors, because the Target stores near my house that sell it only have two slots labeled with two shades: porcelain & fair. Looking at the product itself in the pot, porcelain was definitely a darker shade, so I went with that one (I have light/ barely medium skin). In the jar, it had almost an orange tint, which I thought was perfect after reading the rave reviewes on here about their "orange" concealer (which my stores also do not carry). Way wrong. This concealer was definitely more like a highlighter on my skin and did not cover anything. The texture of the product is exactly what I'm looking for in a concealer: thick but fluffy. The packaging is just fine (I have no aversion to pots/tubs), and the price was very reasonable. I guess it's not their fault that I bought the wrong color, but it's definitely someone's fault that the display makes it look like there are only two colors made. I plan to hang onto it & use it as a highlighter.
Maybe this concealer is not for me.
The coverage is okay, but it creased right away. My under-eyes seem horrible in an hour and make my fine lines seems worse. Have already tried it by dabbing my finger or by my brush, no use.
I love NYX, but not for this product..
I have been using this concealer since May of 2013. Typically during the Summer I develop a tan (as a lot of people do), and need a darker make up. I was using Makeup Forever's full coverage concealer in 5. I got the idea to try Nyx because 1) It's MUCH cheaper than Makeup Forever and 2) They use it a lot on RuPaul's Drag Race- if it can make a man look like a woman it can probably cover a lot of other things.
Specifically, I use this concealer on the inside corners of my eyes and on pimples. I apply with a brush and blend with my non-dominant ring finger and find that it blends well (added plus that it also photographs well). I just recently bought the shade in "Beige" (was wearing "Medium" in the Summer) and am still impressed. My only complaint with the product is really the packaging and a lack of color options. While the jar is little, I prefer a tube just for the portability. It also took a person at Ulta and myself FOREVER to find a shade that matched my skin (we tried a lot of their concealers). I was happy we found this though because it does not have a shimmer/lightener or anything else in it. It is wonderful for covering blemishes which is exactly what I needed it for.
Did not like.. I love Sonia k's concealer in hidden agenda which is similar in consistency so I figured I'd try this one.. I am pretty light skin, nw20 and I got the 2nd to lightest shade.. It creased right away, but most concealers crease on my dry under-eyes but not instantly like this one.. It was WAY too light, and I don't have bad undereye circles but this did not cover at all.. Bummer
This is a lightweight, full coverage concealer if you're building it up right. Usually, I despise any makeup with packaging that is in a pot or doesnt have a pump/applicator however concealer is my exception. I find that the best way to apply concealer for full coverage is either with your fingers(ring finger, be gentle with your skin) or with a beauty blender. I find that brushes just soak up all the concealer and waste your product. I am about an NC30 with olive/yellow undertones(oily skin) and purchased this in the color Beige. This concealer is full coverage if you build it, but with one or two applications can be light-medium coverage. It's great for covering scars and discoloration but I wouldn't suggest it for covering any red blemishes that you may have. It's long-lasting and doesn't fade but I would suggest setting your concealer with a translucent setting powder or a setting powder in general(I find that translucent loose powders work best). I typically use this under my eyes and to prevent any creasing I blend with my ring finger in a dabbing motion lightly and it works wonders. I would definitely repurchase this again. For around $8, you can't go wrong.
